The ultra colour bold lipsticks are my favourite from the Avon range of lipsticks,they are affordable and really good quality. At the moment I am loving the vivid violet shade ,which is a lovely warm purple colour. It is very pigmented and the texture is quite creamy. It is long lasting and feels really moisturising .

I love this lipstick ,it's rich and creamy and feels lightweight on my lips .my favorite shade is 'ruby shock' ,which is as bold as it was intended to be! The color itself is more of a pinkish red but it's very pigmented, which I love because I don't want to swipe over and over. I find that after several hours I still have it on, maybe just a tad bit faded but who cares. A great one from Avon.

LOVE the mascara! It is absolutely amazing - doesn't smudge and gives a lot of volume! I received the black/brown mascara (have never tried a brown mascara before) and it looks amazing. For me it is primarily a day mascara, as it is not as pitch black as the mascara I prefer for night time use. Very easy to apply and dries quickly. A bit trick to get off using just face wash, but make up remover does the trick.
The lipstick (Avon Bare Impact) is nice and soft on the lips, but it doesn't last very long. While I usually prefer a nude colour for my lips, I actually felt this one was a bit too dull; it had no shimmer or shine.
Both products are nice, but I think I would prefer a different shade of lipstick.

I'm so happy to review this Avon Lipstick once again :) ...This is one of the product that was in the goodie bag we got at the #AvonDareToBe event last month.
I love the colour so much that it brightens my skin and it lasts long. It doesn't smudge, I love it especially when it comes to applying, it give that beautiful shine to your lips, I dont need a lipgloss with this lipstick. I can eat snacks, apples etc and its still stays, how great is that.

I was fortunate enough to be chosen to review the Avon Ultra Colour Bold lipstick in bare impact however as huge a fan as I am of Avon lipsticks this particular lippie was not my favourite as far as quality and effectiveness go I give it a full rating the only issue was the colour very bare hence the name and due to its effectiveness it did not seem to want to come off I did however find it drying so I was not overly keen on this lippie

I am obsessed with this lipstick! I haven't been wearing lipsticks lately, because I just feel like non of them last and I have to reapply all the time PLUS I often find mat lipsticks to be drying, so I was so surprised to find that this is not at all the case with this lipstick. One coat gives amazing color, it stayed on my lips for hours and I love the creamy, vivid, mat color minus the drying effect! Get it!

I received the Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in BERRY BOLD and the Big and Daring Volume Mascara in black-brown from beauty bulletin.
The berry bold lipstick is super moist and shiny when applied. It suited me well and i love it.the creamy texture allows for it to glide on smoothly .I expected it to look darker on my lips but it was a lighter shade then the applicator.
The black-brown mascara adds volume without clumping. The curved wand makes it easy to apply. It coats each eyelash evenly as well as darkens and lengthens my eyelashes.

Packaging:
Boxed in simple packaging, in black and bright cerise pink. The mascara is a lot larger than expected, the wand is encased in a shiny black container with silver trim. The mascara closes with an audible click so you know that it’s securely shut. This helps prevent it drying out, which I think is a definite plus.
I particularly like the handle of the wand as it’s almost rectangular/pyramid shaped, which allows for a firmer grip.
The large bristled wand is a definite bonus as the bristles are shaped to separate lashes and build volume. It is also curved to adapt to lashes and give it more shape.
The mascara goes on with ease and is immediately effective in coating the lashes and separating them. The brush is a bit large for shorter (bottom) lashes, so a bit more care is needed. I prefer a shorter bristle brush for bottom lashes.
I didn’t experience any clumping, which was a real pleasure. I would recommend two coats for fuller lashes and no drying time between applications as I found that my lashes got very “stick”-like and trying to apply mascara to dry lashes, just ended up pulling them.
My lashes were so stiff after application that it really felt a bit uncomfortable at first, but the results were outstanding.
The before and after photos are a clear indication of how effective the mascara can be.
Washing the mascara off my lashes proved a bit of a challenge. It was incredibly difficult to remove (I guess that’s a bonus if you’re a crier, LOL!), but really frustrating when you’re in a hurry. I found wetting my lashes and allowing them to soak a while before washing with soap as the most effective method in removing it completely. I usually get rid of the residual raccoon eyes with a bit of moisturiser.
I’m not sure if I’d purchase this for day-to-day wear, but it certainly is a winner for active folk who don’t like a mascara that smudges due to humidity. I used it on stage and it stayed put for hours. So, I’d give it a thumbs-up for staying-power, but only if you like hard lashes.
BONUS: It’s fragrance free! ? no nasty smells.

As part of the Avon Dare to Be Bold review group, I received my Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in BERRY BOLD and the Avon Big and Daring Volume Mascara in BROWN/BLACK.
In order to give a fair account of the products, I will be a bit more thorough in my review and give a somewhat tedious amount of detail so that you can make an informed decision about whether this product is suitable for you or not.
Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in Berry Bold:
As the name suggests, Berry Bold is indeed bold and such a pretty colour. It’s warm, rich colour is very appealing (it’s the shade I’d usually favour for nail polish). After application, I thought that it was way too “loud” on my skin as I’m quite fair and the colour was a bit too bold for my taste, but I decided to be daring as this was my opportunity to experiment. Besides, I was heading out for a gig and it is the norm to wear heavy, darker makeup on stage because of the lighting, otherwise you can look a bit washed-out.
The lipstick glides on smoothly, is really moist and creamy and is colour-true. It looks on the lips exactly like it does in the applicator. This was a bonus, as I often find that the colour of the wand is not the same when applied to my lips. I guess it really depends on the natural colour of your lips, but I like it when the colour I use, is the same on my lips as is presented. Working in an air-conditioned office, I find my lips tend to be dry, so this moist lipstick was a welcome relief as some lipsticks tend to dry my lips even more.
Unfortunately, because of its rich texture, the lipstick does bleed a bit, so I had to apply a lip liner to keep it in place, but that’s a small price to pay for a pretty colour that stays moist. Because it’s pigment-rich, I found it had great staying-power and I didn’t need to reapply during the evening. Having said that, I didn’t have anything to eat, just to drink. However, when dining out, the colour doesn’t stick quite as well, but the level of coverage is still good and a light touch-up is all that’s required. All in all, I’d give this lipstick a 10/10 as it really does deliver what it promises.

I Was lucky enough to be selected to review the Avon Ultra Colour Lipstick and Big & Daring Volume Mascara.
The lipstick colour I received was Coral Burst. It has a soft creamy texture, even though it's a matte lipstick so my lips didn't dry out. It was quite long lasting and didn't transfer onto the glass that I was drinking, which I thought was absolutely fantastic. The colour itself is very bold. It's a mix of orange and bright red. Surprisingly it seemed to work. I applied a light coat of the lipstick and I outlined my lips with a deep red (almost maroonish) lipliner and I blended the two. So I was quite happy with the end result. The deep red seemed to even out the brightness of the shade and the end result was perfect. This one is definitely a keeper and a great addition to my HUGE lipstick collection. They are also quite reasonably priced so I would highly recommend anyone to try this range. A big thumbs up and 5 stars from me for this lipstick.
The Big & Daring Volume Mascara was a bit disappointing. It doesn't quite live up to its name. I had to apply two coats to get the desired big and bold effect. After applying two coats, my lashes felt heavy- not a very nice feeling. The brush was uncomfortable to use, because of its curved shape. I would have preferred the brush to be straight and the bristles wider - perhaps that would have given the bold look. The mascara scores 2 stars from me.

My first reaction was that I loved the simple sleek design of the packaging of both products.
I don’t mind exploring and introducing new products and colour into my simple make up routine. So, when I received the Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in Pink Punch, I was delighted to give it a go!

Love: It is ultra-moisturising with no need to apply lip balm prior to applying lipstick.It is long lasting therefore perfect if you don’t have the time to reapply lipstick all day long (like me). I once applied it before 8am and by 10am after 2 cups of coffee and cereal there was still a pink colour to my lips. Adds a pop of colour to your face therefore the rest of your make up can be simple. The pink makes my eye colour brighter. The price – at R69.95 it is a bargain!!

Big and Daring Volume Mascara in Brown / Black
Love: Lengthens my eyelashes
The price – at R64.95 it is a bargain!!

You must apply more than one coat to get the desired effect.

I got the Bare Impact shade lipstick and the black Mascara as part of the Avon Dare to Be "club".
Lipstick:
I went for a photoshoot seven years ago, and the makeup artist applied a lipstick that looked very natural. Ever since then, I have been searching for something similar and I finally found it in Avon's Bare Impact lipstick! I was so excited. I love the colour; however, it doesn't last. I have been wearing it for three hours and it's diminishing already. But I must say, I have had something to drink and it has stayed put. For the price I would however definitely buy this product.
Mascara:
I'm not a big fan of the mascara. It seems clumpy, even though it doesn't look like that in the photo I've uploaded. It does what it says, though...it really does last long before it starts to flake. The bottle has a nice shape and the wand is easy to handle, but I probably wouldn't use this again. I am also not in love with the brush - it seems a bit bulky to me.

This is a super pigmented lipstick, with 50 % more pigments. Avon promises a brilliant, vibrant and intense colour in just one application, which I agree, just one coat of this lippie is more than enough. What I love about this lipstick is it is not drying at all. It also comes in 10 vibrant colours, I would have loved to try the coral burst and pink punch, since I have become obsessed with bright lippies recently. As for the colour I received Max Mocha, I couldn't really make it work on most occasions. A brown lipstick, I just couldn't. One night surprisingly it worked with a harsh dramatic eye and a pulled back pony, but after that it never worked again. Sigh... This is the colour swatched, just one coat and look at the colour payoff!

This is a super black pigmented mascara. I tried it with both one and two coats. I found two coats was a bit too fake for me, but one was amazing. Darkening of lashes, lengthening and volumising. False lash effect without the glue. I found the curved brush a bit messy, and required quite a bit of clean up. But it did add an extra flare and curl to my lashes. The dynamite brush is a curved brush that is meant to capture every lash to create explosive clump free volume. The wedge shaped bristles also capture every lash for explosive 360 degree volume. My lashes were well separated, and I am definitely pleased with this!
Avon claims the mascara wont smudge or flake for up to 24 hours and it can resist heat and humidity, which means it will be great for summer. It is available in black and brown black. I definitely agree with the smudge and flake free, this mascara has staying power. I have never worn mascara for 24 hours, and I don't think anyone ever would need, but a good 12 hours for sure!
The first picture my left side has no mascara, and my right has two coats. The second picture my left has one coat and my right has two.

So generally I am not a bold gal, but I thought I would give it a try ... When I first saw the colour I was a bit "oops, not quite me". I tried and found it to be bold okay! I have tried the Starburst Pink on its own for daytime (with very minimal other make-up) and found it okay (in terms of colour), perhaps too bold for my personality. However I have also mixed it up a bit and put one coat of Starburst Pink on my top lip and used a sheer type lipgloss for my bottom lip - NOW THAT EFFECT I LOVED! As regards the quality, it is probably one of the better lipsticks I have used - not too thick, I found it stays on nicely and best of all I didn't find the smell to be offensive! Would definitely recommend it to all the lipstick lovers out there, however for me personally I like my toned down version better. (Pic included is of full on bold lipstick.)

So, Avon is going bold and it's just time for Spring! How exciting? I received the Avon Lipstick in shade Starburst Pink to review and I have to admit, the shade really scared me. I really didn't like the strange, palish looking pink shade, but I tried the lipstick. I loved the formula, it's easy to apply and it's not drying at all - despite being a matte shade. I was really impressed with the formula that I decided to try two more shades in the range - Pink Punch and Bright Nectar.
And these two colours really made me fall in love with the range! I love bright and bold colours and these two colours are exactly that - bright and bold. It didn't dry out my pout and lasted all days on my lips. I loved the statement I made with bright lips. I loved matching my outfits to my lipstick and I loved how confident my lipstick made me feel.
I loved it so much that I convinced a few of my colleagues to buy the the two shades as well - and guess what? They loved it too.
I will definitely try out more shades in this range.

Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick
Avon ultra colour bold lipstick comes in ten beautiful shades. The lipstick shade I will be talking about is called pink punch. Pink punch is a refreshing, vibrant shade. I really like the shade/colour. It is suitable for many seasons especially for the upcoming summer. The formula is pigmented, as you will notice after the first application that the lipstick colour comes off nicely on your lips. However, the lipstick is not full coverage. If you look closely a little bit of your natural lip colour is visible. The formula is buildable though and the more layers you apply on your lips the better the coverage. The lipstick is a little bit moisturizing. However, if worn for a long period of time I have notice that it made my lip a bit dryer.
Verdict: I think you should definitely give Avon ultra colour bold lipstick a try. The regular price of these lipsticks are R139.95 each.
Avon Big & Daring Volume Mascara
This mascara comes in two shades, black and brown black. I would like to point out that I have not experimented with many mascaras. In fact I think this is the first mascara I have tried. The mascara I have tried is in black shade. The wand is a medium size and it has a curve shape. The shape of the wand is a nice guidance when applying mascara. However, the wand size does get the product on my eyelid or nose, If not applied carefully.
In terms of the formula, it is amazing! With just one coat you will notice a difference. Your eyelashes will look fuller and longer. Also, avon states that this mascara won't smudge or flake for up to 24 hours, and it can resist heat and humidity. I have not worn this mascara for 24 hours but the time frame that I have worn this mascara, It has definitely not smudged or flaked. By the way, this mascara is really easy to remove.
Verdict: If you are looking for a mascara that gives you length, does not smudge or flake and is easy to remove avon big & daring volume mascara is for you. Just be careful with the wand. The regular price of this mascara is R129.95 each.

I have always been the type of girl that would blend in instead of standing out, the quiet one in the background and when Beauty Bulletin sent me the survey I figured our blog has started a new chapter in our lives so no more blending in.I was fortunate enough to be chosen as part of the campaign, I received The Big & Daring Volume Mascara in black as well as the Ultra Colour Bold lipstick in Pink Punch.
The Mascara gives loads of volume and does not clump up your eyelashes,the wand is shaped in a way that makes application easy and believe me I always tend to cry when putting on mascara but not this time around. The only problem I had with the mascara was the fact that it is hard to remove but I guess for some that is a good thing as it means it stays on for longer.
The Lipstick goes on smoothly and does not dry out your lips like other lipsticks do when its removed.Also I did not have the problem with Lipstick on my teeth after applying it. If the colour is abit to bold for your do not let that put you off, I found after applying it, put a tissue between your lips and kiss it, it will make the colour abit less intense also adding a sparkly lipgloss makes all the difference.
Doing this review really made me look at bright and bold colours in a different way.

MY THOUGHTS:
1) Love the cute plumpish black container with the bright pink on top!
2) Container fits nicely in my hand.
3) Love the curved applicator brush! Easily cover all the lashes in one quick move of the hand!
4) This mascara can truly be layered, as my pics at the bottom will indicate. I started with 1 layer and ended with 5, which gave me almost a false eyelash appearance. BOLD & LOVELY!!!!!!
5) The mascara is truly water resistant! I got a fleck of it (after 5 layers were applied) in my eye and had to rinse my eyes with saline. Most of the mascara was still there afterwards.
6) If you are going to follow in my bold footsteps & apply numerous layers, just be careful to not get any in your eyes, especially if you are a contact lens wearer. MOST UNPLEASANT!!!
7) The mascara stayed on my lashes for most of the day!

I was so excited to be chosen to review the Avon products.
I was sent a Ultra bold lipstick in the Max Mocha shade and while it was too neutral for my shade of skin it added volume and gave my lips the fuller look.

After weeks of non-delivery due to the PO strike, I finally received my Avon Big and Daring Mascara as well as the Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick Vivid Voilet.
As i opened the colour, I was like hell NO I'm not going to wear such a bold vivid colour but not one to shy out and expirement (on the locked door of my bedroom) , I tried out the lipstick..........WOW, it looked good... great on me. I instantly fell in love with it. It glides on smoothly and the texture is smooth. Oh and I love the smell of it.
And dont get me started on the Mascara. Its lives up to the words Big and Daring.
After thinking long and hard about this, I think it’s safe to say that this is my favourite lipstick and mascara.

I tried the mascara and coral burst lipstick that I received at the Avon event (the one that I was supposed to try are still somewhere at the post office).
Needless to say, coral burst is a beautiful colour, it's citrusy and works well with my skin tone. I lined my lips in brown and slapped the lipstick on. Honestly, I was afraid of how I would look. My lips peel easily if they are not moisturized properly but while wearing the lipstick I didn't encounter anything.
The colour could do with a bit of gloss!
The mascara promises volume and I got it. It doesn't clump and it's waterproof. I loved the brush with its curled shape making it easy to target even the smallest lash. I loved the effect I got but hot frustrated when I wanted to clean it off.
My makeup remover didn't work and ended up irritating my eyes whilst trying to remove it. I later learned that coconut oil works and indeed the mascara was off.
Love the smudgefree of the mascara. I would recommend it with a caution that one needs to ensure that when cleaning the mascara off one shouldnt irritate the eye area!
Would I recommend the two products? Definitely!

I recently received the Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick (in Pink Punch) and Big & Daring Volume Mascara (in black), both from Avon, in order to take the challenge and dare to try the new shades. In order to help you experiment and take your look to the next level, Avon has introduced the “Boldometer”. The idea is to figure out where your currently are on the scale (which goes from natural to divine, to dramatic, and finally to bold) in order to be bold and push yourself to the next level.
The lipstick shade I received, Pink Punch, is a gorgeous bright colour that’s perfect for summer. The lipstick has a smooth application, and the colour lasts long without smudging, which is perfect for me as I seem to spend a large portion of my day reapplying lipstick.
The mascara, which features a curved brush and promises up to 900% explosive volume, I found to be good, especially in its price range. While I did experience some volume, unfortunately I have extremely short and straight eyelashes and very rarely find mascaras which perfectly address these issues, so this mascara really didn’t make the bold statement on me that I was hoping it would.

I was so excited to have been chosen as part of the Avon review club. I received the Avon ultra colour bold lipstick in vivid violet. The lipstick is really long lasting and it stains the lips and lasts forever. It is also very moisturising and makes my lips super soft. Will definitely be buying from this range again.
I also received the big and daring mascara. It has a curved wand which ensures easy application. The best for me is that it is totally clump free I have longer lashes but this mascara made it longer and thicker.

I've always been a fan of Avon mascaras, and this one certainly did not disappoint. I have fairly fine lashes and the volume and length this mascara gave me was simply amazing. Its on special in this month's brochure for a giveaway price of R64.95 (Regular price R129.95). I will definitely be stocking up. The curved brush grabs every lash and delivers clumo free volumised lashes. It wears pretty well too with no flaking. All in all I would say this is an amazing mascara. I love it!!!

I also attended the world record attempt by avon, so I was thoroughly spoilt, I got a mascara, which gives massive coverage in one stroke, mad props avon!! And lipstick in Ruby shock; coral burst, and vivid violet, the lipsticks glide on a smoothly and stay put, no feathering or bleeding outside the lines, I have done a swatch, but not outing pictures of my face or a video as I have just mag massive facial surgery, the colour payoff in the new avon lipstick range is huge, and a tiny amount goes a long way.

Im a shy kinda nude lips gal..so when I got chosen for this challenge I was quite surprised and excited at the same time. I always want to try bolder colors but never felt I could pull them off. I received the shade Bright nectar, which is like a coral orange color. I love it because its not too daring but not so subtle either. The lipstick is so pigmented and just glides on. No need for a 2nd application. I love the smell too,somewhat fruity. I enjoyed being a little daring for a change with my makeup. I will definitely try other shades in this range. I think its quite reasonably priced as well. The packaging looks sleek and elegant.Thumbs up Avon.

I was thrilled to have received the latest addition to the Avon Dare to be Bold family, the Ultra Colour bold Lipstick in Pink Punch (Retailing at R139.95) and the Big and Daring Volume Mascara in Brown Black (Retailing at R129.95).
First off, the Pink Punch lipstick was really not a colour I would normally pick for myself, I’m more of a Bare Impact or Starburst Pink kinda gal, but I was willing to accept the challenge.
The lipstick comes in a lovely easy to open shine black container, and the burst of colour is amazing. It’s one of Avon’s boldest lip colours yet with 50% more pigments packed in every lipstick vs traditional Avon lipsticks. The colour stays on for hours and I have received numerous compliments from friends and family members every time I’ve put it on. So it makes me feel quite Bold when I’m wearing this. When using my Pink Punch lipstick I try to town down my eye shadow as if you apply to heavy eye makeup you may look like a Transvestite!
It’s a brilliant, vibrant and intense colour that you achieve in just one application and it’s on special now for only R69.95 in your latest Avon brochure.
Secondly I received the Big & Daring volume mascara in Brown Black which also is not my usual pick as I normally opt for the black shades. The packaging is very modern and chic with the wedge shaped bristles it promises to give you a 360’ explosive lash volume.
I find that one coat of mascara was not enough to create that Explosive look so I used 2 coats every time, and I have to say the curved brush gave me explosive clump-free volume. I had no smudging or flaking at all and it resisted heat and humidity quite well on the days I’ve worn it.
The Volume Mascara is also on special now for R64.95 in your latest Avon catalogue.
All in all I can recommend these two products, and I would love to try out the other shades in these ranges.

Secondly I received the Big & Daring volume mascara in Brown Black which also is not my usual pick as I normally opt for the black shades. The packaging is very modern and chic with the wedge shaped bristles it promises to give you a 360’ explosive lash volume.
I find that one coat of mascara was not enough to create that Explosive look so I used 2 coats every time, and I have to say the curved brush gave me explosive clump-free volume. I had no smudging or flaking at all and it resisted heat and humidity quite well on the days I’ve worn it.
The Volume Mascara is also on special now for R64.95 in your latest Avon catalogue.
All in all I can recommend these two products, and I would love to try out the other shades in these ranges.

After waiting in eager anticipation for my Rapid Rose Ultra Colour Bold lipstick and Big and Daring volume mascara to arrive, I have used both products a number of times over the past couple of weeks. I am older (47) so am not entirely sure that ultra bold colour lipstick is me and the shade I selected, Rapid Rose, seems closer to the Bright Nectar in hue as it has a more corally hue, however I must say that I love the way it goes on and doesn't seem to dry out the lips... it also has reasonably good staying power.
As far as the mascara is concerned, I do have rather sensitive eyes and the mascara doesn't seem to irritate as some mascara's do. I think the main reason for this is that it really is smudge (and water) proof and stays on! Although I generally prefer a straight wand, the curved wand doesn't make application too tricky and definitely gives nicely defined volumised lashes.
Avon products are definitely right up there in terms of price and most certainly quality.

I was sent the Big & Daring Mascara in Black, and the Avon Ultra Colour lipstick in Max Mocha.
I was actually surprised. I would never wear such a "bold" colour.
Being fair skinned, it didn't even suit me much.
But this is the entire point of the challenge, right?
So I braced myself and put my best pout forward.
The pigmentation and colour pay off of this lipstick is phenomenal!
And applies like butter!
What shocked me the most was that when wearing this lipstick, my lips looked and felt super smooth.
And even those little lines on my lips kind of disappeared.
Not forgetting to mention that it is long lasting. What more could a woman ask for?
Moving on to the mascara.
My favourite makeup item would definitely be mascara. And I'm glad to have been given the opportunity to try this 1 out.
And boy am i thrilled!

The formula is perfect, not too wet and not too dry.
And it doesn't clump.
1 coat is enough to give your eyes and lashes some va-va-voom.

When Avon claimed it won't smudge or flake and can last up to 24 hours, I didn't think it was possible. ALL mascaras flake after some time.
But 1 night, I fell asleep without washing my face.
I didn't have any other makeup on, just mascara so I thought it wouldn't be such a big deal if i didn't wash it off.
At the same time putting the mascara to the test.
And wow! When i woke up, I kid you not, my eyelashes looked perfectly fresh, as if i had just applied my mascara.
No clumping, no flaking, no smudging.
Needless to say, this is now my new favourite mascara.

I was sent these products by the wonderful beauty bulletin team. The colour ofthe lipstick product is max mocha and the big and daring volume mascara is black. To be perfectly honest I have never wore such a rich dark brown shade of lipstick before. However I was pleasantly surprised that the pigmentation of the cllour was rich and buildable on application. I applied one coat to my lower lip and blotted it with mytop lip thereafter I applied a second coat for an even darker colour. My lips are naturally quiet dark and I am plesantly pleased with the easy application and I would recommend this product toanyone who loves to experiment with colour. This product has allowed me to feel its okay to experiment with different colours and tones. It makes a bold statement. It lasts on average of 4 hours. Note that the time included me eating and drinking. All in all an excellent buy.

I normally make a mess of mascara and then I often have to retouch my foundation. The handle allows for an easy grip.when applying it you have to work relatively quickly as it dries quiet fast. The colour was really dark. There were no clumps on my first application. There is a noticeably difference in eyelawh lenght after one coat. To get the best results rotate the brush while applying the mascara. I testedto see if it would smudge or flake and it doesn't great value for money

What a great trial this was - Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in BERRY BOLD and Avon Big & Daring Volume Mascara in BLACK.
I absolutely loved both of these products and took great delights in breaking the "rules" which say one should either have bold lips or bold eyes, not both.
The lipstick has a great texture, very moisturising and lasts a good long time. And it certainly is "ultra" and "bold"! It's very bright, only one coat needed (where I usually do at least 3 coats) and stays bright for quite a while.
Unfortunately, the Berry Bold was really not the right colour for me - it's a tone of red that really doesn't suit me, looking quite orange on me. But it's still wearable and I did get lots of compliments so perhaps it's just me being over-sensitive.
The mascara also lives up to its name. This is a great find for me as I struggle with keeping mascara on my lashes and not in raccoon circles under my eyes. It amazed me how well it stayed in place with no smudging at all. And it gave me lashes like I'd had extensions! It has a really different brush - curved with different widths along the length of it. I found it worked really well to coat the lashes without caking them. Usually I have to use a little brush to take off the clumps of mascara as I do like my lashes to look relatively natural. However, I had no need for that with this mascara as my lashes looked awesome but not unnatural!
All in all, I loved these products. I'll definitely stick with the mascara and perhaps try a different colour in the lipstick.

Talk about BOLDNESS indeed. Not so long ago i was introduced to boldness when it comes to colour on lips by Avon, Ooh boy did l love and enjoy the results. Now with the new Ultra colour Bold lipstick, i received a very odd colour and just the thoughts of walking around with it sent shivers down my spine - i received the Bright Nectar, it`s got an orange colour when you look at it, but somehow i fell in love with it with my first attempt. Boldness was unleashed, in application it gives you a nudish colour, leaving your lips looking naturally nourished, beautiful and inviting. Even my husband loves the shade. Thank you Avon for this trial and have already ordered two more shades from my representative (Pink punch and Rapid Rose). SO DARING!!!

I must start off by saying that I'm becoming more and more impressed with Avon's colour products. I received the colour burst lipstick in bright nectar, the texture and colour intensity is amazing. And the smell is also very appealing. Sadly though ,the colour does not go with my skin tone. I looked terribly washed out. I was really excited to try out a bright new colour but it definitely won't go to waste, I will use the lipstick on my next client with the compatible skin tone. Being all excited to go bright with my luscious lashes,I decided to make the look work by using another Avon colour, the pure orchid lipstick.
I rimmed my eyes with black eyeliner and kept the colour very nude. I applied 2 layers of mascara. The brush of the Big and Daring volume mascara is stunning. It's wide and allows you to grip from root to tip. The end of the brush gets perfectly into the corners to apply on shorter lashes. It completed by bright #AvonDareToBe summer look perfectly. And lasted the day

So, I'm not very "fond" of make up, but when I do go out, it's a different story. I've got a VERY sensitive skin so I'm really skeptical about products. I received my Big & Daring volume mascara, oh and my lipstick. The first day I received it, I applied it and I was actually very impressed with both products. I received the Bare Impact lipstick, which I must say, it is so smooth on my lips and it doesn't make my lips feel dried out. I simply LOVE it. The mascara, to me the bristles/brush is a bit too bulky, would like something a bit more thinner, but I must say, my lashes never curled so nicely before. It really opens up my eyes and it works perfectly if you like the smokey look. I didn't have any problems removing the mascara, to me it washes off easily.

Now, let's talk about the mascara. I honestly couldn't care much when it comes to wearing mascara because I have really sensitive eyes, so I hardly wear it (even though I sometimes really want to). It really is Big and Daring, however, because of my really sensitive eyes, it burns like hell when I apply and remove it. It also takes some time to remove even when using make-up remover. Overall, I'd probably really love it and wear it daily if it didn't irritate my eyes.

Okay. So, I'm not really a lipstick person but was excited for this challenge so that I could actually try it out and get out of my comfort zone. Unfortunately, the colour I received, Starburst Pink, was faaarrr too out of my comfort zone. It did not go well with my skin tone at all, and wearing it made me feel like I could be part of the cast in Jersey Shore! It also helped that I have brutally honest siblings and they all gave me a huge NO :(. I asked a few lighter skinned people to try it out and they all felt the colour was too "Barbie" and plastic for them to wear.
That said, I love the way this lipstick smells! It glides on really nicely, the texture is matte and creamy, and the pigment stays for a while.
I also received the Big & Daring Volume Mascara in brown/black which I love. It applies easily and was clump free. The colour is quite nice too. The formula is very wet which builds up nicely to create volume. Removal is a bit of a pain - I had to use facial makeup remover wipes and baby oil to try and get it off.
That said, I love the way this lipstick smells! It glides on really nicely, the texture is matte and creamy, and the pigment stays for a while.

Avon has created a fabulous lipstick that glides in a creamy manner i don't have to apply layers to have the effective look, it didn't dry/crack my lips or leave a whitish residue. Im a fan of red shades but Mocha is my new shade.
im so in love with extended lashes the mascara gives in less than 3applications compared to other brands. It is easy to remove at night, doesn't give a heavy n dry effect on the lashes.

i was one of the ladies chosen to review the avon dare to be bold products. i received the Avon Big and Daring Mascara in brown- black and Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in Rapid Rose.First off the packaging looks amazing and i was so excited to try them out. The mascara was so easy to apply it gave my eyelashes more volume and it looked amazing.i was so happy that i was able to apply it on with so much ease because normally i have such trouble having to apply mascara.I have never tried brown-black before but ever since iv used it im never going back. The Avon Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in Rapid Rose was not suited to my skintone as it gave a more neon hue so i mixed it with my usual lipstick shade and the results were fabulous i would rate my look from going normal to BOLD.THANK YOU AVON FOR TAKING ME OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE AND LETTING ME EXPERIENCING SOMETHING NEW :)
