Avon Ultra Colour Rich Lipsticks

I purchased this lipstick in the shade called Show Business. Its a really dark red/pink shade that's great for any skin tone.

I find that this lipstick is not only long lasting but is definitely rich in colour pigment. Its perfect for a night out after work and gives you that Marilyn Monroe look!

This colour rocks my world! It's a richly pigmented red brown that looks awesome on me and i will probably continue to use as long as avon continues to make it! It glides on smoothly and evenly and delivers colour true pigments that is comfortable to wear and contains lip nourishing omega 3 oil, vitamin e and self renewing pigments ! I love it!

This is a color i would certainly try.

What an amazing color! As soon as I received this gorgeous tube of happiness I squealed with delight! It is the perfect cross between a shocking pink and red. So perfect for brightening up pasty skin and showing off glossy hair! With just a touch I was able to transform myself into a glamorous diva. The formula is soft and hydrating, it may have a little too much of a slip for me as I like formulas which last all day, however without touch-ups and eating three mini meals it left a beautiful stain on my lips making this one of my new favorites. The packaging is very solid and simple, fitting in perfectly with its market-sale price. Overall a definite must-purchase for anyone. Already ordering my back-ups:)

im such a boy, my friends will tell u, though i can wear 5 inch heels and strut my stuff as if walking in my dc sneakers, when it comes to make up,minimum is the limit. but things changed when i met my boyfriend, suddenly im ordering lipsticks and eye shadows, unheard of in my world. now im a pro, u cant tell me nothing about make up that i dont already know about. when i went to pick up my beauty bulletin package at the post office and it stated cosmetics, i lit up. yep!!! its my world. i even want to study make up artistry and im very picky with what i use. it has to be the best. i got my pure orchid lipstick and luminous wine lipgloss.!!!!!heaven, firstly the lipstick is perfect for my complexion. the scent is amazeballs. the lipgloss and so rich and thick i dont have to use it with lipstick its fine on its own. it lasts the whole day, and because of my boyish ways its perfect because i dont like having to go retouch my make up when im out with friends. the colours are amazing, they are bold,like me.so feminine, soft but intense. beautiful packaging. im a show off, so i like my lipstick packaging to be in your face. after my done up, with my ultra glazewear and ultra colour absolute lipstick, i know with every fibre of my being, I AM... I believe it is every girl`s dream to look their best or rather should i say, to be the only beautiful and eye catcher in that garden or hall in any event. Well, that is exactly how l`ve pictured my wedding day. l had always visualised my face with lipstick, and that thought gave me shivers...funny i know, but this was because l never feel comfortable wearing one, l always felt ugly, funny etc. the only thing i always made use of was a liner, but i always made sure l stick to the dark colours. Saturday was my blessing day at church, so l dashed to the Post Office for my BB package, to my amazement a lipstick was in it, now the colour...the shivers came again as i wasn`t sure if it will work for me. I did my face,brows, cheecks...and then decided to try my biggest fear....Oh gosh, a complete transformation. The Ultra Colour Absolute Lips lipstick, in Pure Orchid...complemented with the Ultra Glazewear Absolute Lipgloss - the smooth berry flavour just completed my soft make-up l had. l wore my hair upwards tying a pony tail, with this hair style it brought out my facial features and complemented my round face. On the lips it`s gentle, long lasting, and though matte, it does not necessarily need a gloss. lt lasted me for a good 8 hours without having to do any touch ups....even my hubby noticed something catchy. Now we come to the scent, it`s soft, breezy,berry-like. One thing about it is that it`s a brings out fiminity, it`s very classier and seductive but in a feminine way. It leaves one wondering. Whether you are going for a just-kissed look, a glittery pout, a perfectly luscious pink or berry effect, or a satiny sheer shade, a boardroom look or just an easy outdoors look...this lipstick did it for me, as a matter of fact l`m ready to try other shades.!The Ultra Colour Absolute Lips lipstick & Lip gloss - THE TRUE DEFINITION OF BEAUTIFUL LIPS!

If you don't already know, I am not a fan of lip products, especially lipstick. If I had to choose a lip product to wear, it would definitely be Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain. I do have a few lipsticks though and most have not been used (reviews coming soon). Like this little item, that has been stored away for a very long time and I admit to never have putting it to use, until my latest ombre lip tutorial. I have it in the shade, Oxford Wine. I really like the name, there is a degree of sophistication to it, much like the general appearance of this product. The lipstick comes in a sleek and attractive casing that is suitable for both work and everyday use. It is attractive and modern with its glossy black and silver finish. As you can see in the picture, this lipstick looks like a dark shade of purple, which is probably what put me off - I wasn't so keen on having purple lips. But after applying it, I noticed that it was more of a rich, indulgent pink with a rose' wine hue to it. I have to say that this lipstick is great at nourishing and moisturizing your lips and you can feel the effects for a short while after application. It is a thick creamy texture, a little too thick for my liking, so I prefer applying it with a lip brush. I find that it is not the most long lasting lipstick, so reapplying throughout the day would be necessary, but I wouldn't really complain as I believe the formula contains omega 3 oil and Vitamin E - essential for those soft, luscious lips! Overall, I wouldn't necessarily pay R130 for this, or any lipstick in particular, but that is because of my personal likes and dislikes. I do appreciate this shade and will most definitely be putting it to use, more often. I like that the lipstick is a smooth texture and doesn't create that thick, sticky barrier that puts me off all lip products.

MY THOUHGTS:
1) I really like darker colours on the lips, so the Buttered Rum, which is a dark wine red, and the Red 2000, which is a beautiful darker shade of red, were right up my alley.
2) The lipsticks glide on effortlessly onto the lips and leave them feeling moisturised.
3) No metallic taste or smell that some lipsticks have.
4) In order to get the desired shade on my lips, I had to clad and re-apply, clad & re-apply, about 4 times. One can choose the shade by layering the colour.
5) Without cladding & layering, the lipstick rubs off easily and leaves an unsightly stain on your water glass or cup, so this method worked well for me.
6) Both lipsticks stayed on for about 2 hours before I had to re-apply. It may stay on longer on someone else's lips. I drink water constantly, so am quite hard on my lipsticks and make them work hard too ;-).
7) Normal price is about R89,95, but they are on special from time to time.

FINAL VERDICT: If you are looking for a moisturising lipstick that feels good on your lips with medium staying power, this is the one. LIKE IT, but do not love it.

Ok ladies, here's what's up...
This lipstick feels amazing, as soon as you apply it, you know its not just functioning as a lipstick. It really moisturises your lips and the colour is vibrant.

What I didn't like was the difference in colour, from what I saw in the brochure and the actual product. I chose the Buttered Rum shade, which looked like a rich brown. The actual product has a reddish tone to it.

Great product for dry lips, colour is long lasting as well. I only had to re-apply once during the day.

I've never used a nude colour before,but after reading amazing reviews on this nude colour I had to try it.I love Avon make-up and know they quality is exceptional,I'm loving this nude shade and love wearing it day time when I feel like a natural look without to much make-up on.Leaves my lips super soft and the lasting power is very good.

I love this nude with pink sparkle.It is such a stunning colour that goes well with any look.If I apply my ice pink lip gloss it look stunning for a night look paired up with a smokey eye.
The moisturizing power is amazing as well.

I love this colour. It is sexy and sultry. This is a colour i would definitely purchase again.

I love this lipstick. It does not feather even without a lip liner.It really does last allot longer than any other lipsticks I have ever tried. But then again it is AVON so I should expect the product to do what it's suppose to do
