I have been using Tampax over the years as I loved their applicator which made use of the product so much easier for us sensitive gals.
However, the actual product I feel, is lacking. It doesn't last as long as I would want and it loses it shape too quickly. I also feel that it almost moves down during wear which gets uncomfortable really quickly.
The only upside is the applicator, the product is mediocre.

Okeyyyy then, little out of my comfort zone since this would be the first time I review something other than a Beauty or Skin product!! ;-)
But here goes. First of all it comes in this super colorful box which just kind of takes your mind of the depressing forecast. I absolutely love the short and compact size of each tampon which make carrying them around or handling them discreet sooooo much easier than their predecessors which was almost as long as your arm hie hie hie hie.
The round plastic tip makes it easy to insert and the product itself feels very comfortable. BUT there are one thing that kind of put me off Tampax and that is.......
Tampax seems to grow in length as it absorbs more than in width which is kind of the opposite of what you want. Its as if a Tampax is stitched through the middle from the top to the bottom before its compacted and packed where as most other tampons just grow in width with no stitching even showing (so how its made I don't know).
This might not be a problem for young girls , but for women who had babies and obviously need to use a plus size a tampon growing in width is just that much more reassuring that there will be no unexpected surprises!
But other than that its stays a super amazing product

Thanks BB for letting me be part to review this great product, and a big thanks to Tampax for creating this product for us. I received my box and I was ecstatic and nervous at the same time. Since I I have a loop I get heavy flow during my second and third day of my periods and it's not easy to use something new because you don't know if it's going to disappoint you. I tried it anyway and it worked like a glove. I loved the packaging it's so colourful and it looks like a sweet so even if someone sees it won't be a problem. I love the fact that it fits my small cosmetic bag perfectly. The plastic cover is a cherry on the top and the round tip makes it easier to insert the tampon. It's a must have for all women who likes being free of worries during that time of the month

Firstly, thank you BB for the opportunity to try out the new Tampax Compak tampons I received a while ago.
As a 40 something woman, my period seems a bit erratic of late and to be very honest I'm typically not a huge fan of tampons, although having said that, they definitely have their place and serve their purpose, especially when one is active as it is a lot more comfortable and discreet than pads.
I received the Super (green) and Regular (yellow) tampons in my Tampax Compak Multipack. The packaging certainly is very attractive - the boxes and wrappers come in funky colours - they almost look like boxes of sweets. I must say that at first I found the applicator process unfamiliar and a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, it definitely makes application simpler - no mess, no fuss.
However, whilst the Tampax tampons are generally comfortable once inserted, they do not seem to be as absorbent as other brands, which have a different, "moulded" bullet shape. Usually my flow is heaviest on the first and/or second day and I usually suffer from really bad cramps, and I find tampons, particularly on those days to be a little uncomfortable.
As I believe that I am nearing menopause, it seems unlikely that I will be using tampons too much in the future but based on my experience, I would certainly recommend Tampax tampons.

So, I've never really liked tampons very much. I didn't find them that comfortable at all and they are generally a lot more expensive than pads. I figured, why waste money one something I didn't get to choose that happens to me each month. I did, however understand, that sometimes tampons are just more convenient for certain outfits and occasions, so when I saw an opportunity to review the Tampax tampons, I was like, why not.
Firstly, they arrived super fast, so shout-out to Beauty Bulletin and the courier company for crazy fast delivery. Secondly, the packaging of how each tampon is wrapped, cute! I seriously does look like sweets! My dad walked into my room and poked one, and was like, "are these sweets," to which I replied, "no dad, they're tampons." His face slightly paled and he left the room. Shame.
I'm not one to be fooled by packaging, as it is usually a waste considering the world's environmental stance right now, but the packaging on the individual tampons is really great, because you can throw them in a jacket pocket, hand bag, pencil case, without it looking obvious that it is in fact a tampon.
The actual applicator is a cool concept and all, but I'm honestly not convinced that it is necessary. It is a waste of plastic. Now I don't want to sound like a crazy environmentalist, but the applicator is thrown away immediately after use and that is it. Yes, I suppose it could be recycled, but how many people in South Africa actually recycle? I know the point of reviewing the product was not necessarily looking at materials used, but I think it is something we should consider. I've read the previous applicator was cardboard, is this not a better concept considering it can be recycled, or at least broken down naturally?
Moving on to effectiveness of Tampax. The product itself worked wonderfully. Great absorption and relatively comfortable. So that was a hit.
Would I recommend Tampax? Yes and no. Yes, because the product works well and the packaging is nice and discreet. No, because I'm just not sold on the idea of all the embodied energy involved in manufacturing plastic applicators.
Everyone to their own opinion, however I have noticed that the beauty world is becoming more conscious of the environment, which is pretty cool for the future.

I have been telling my friends for a while now that I really want to start using tampons, so you can imagine how excited I was when I received my very own packet of Tampax from BB (so many firsts with BB). Unfortunately Mother Nature came a little late this month but finally I was able to put the tampons to the test. Firstly the package?? How adorable is that? There are two packets of tampons inside, regular-for a light to medium flow and super-For a medium to heavy flow. Now my period this month decided to be friendlier so I only used the regular tampons. At first I have to admit I was a bit scared so I read the leaflet found inside plenty times before inserting the tampon and...YES I’m now an official tampon user, tampax is so comfortable after a while I forgot I even have them on. I set an alarm to remind me of when I have to change it...I tend to forget easily. However when I go to sleep I used a sanitary towel as I sleep more than 8 hours sometimes. Haven’t tried Tampax?? What are you waiting for? Try it and never go back to those huge uncomfortable sanitary towels. Xoxo to you beauties.

Tampax Compak gives me freedom to do the things I want to do even at that time of the month.I particularly enjoyed the discreetness of the product, the packaging is so ingenious, no embarrassment whatsoever if you spilled the contents of your handbag, or when you want to dispose of the applicator.I have used tampons for as long as I can remember but never the ones with an applicator so it did feel kind of like the first time when using them.The diagram/instructions had me a bit confused, so I decided to pretend I was using my finger like I did before.Needless to say, it didn't go to well trying to remove the applicator,on the second use i tried again.Once the tampon was in place there was a pop sound and the applicator can out hassle free.I felt like Superwoman! I thoroughly enjoyed using the product and now I look forward to my periods because I know am FREE!

I received my package of tampax compact to try out a while back, and eventually that time of the month arrived. I don't use tampons much, and when i do i add another layer of protection just to make sure that there are no leaks.
With tampax compact i didn't have to do that. They fit snuggly, and were comfortable. I'm now moving away from pads and definitely using tampax compact. absolutely love them. Thanks Beauty Bulletin

I was one of the lucky ladies chosen to review the Tampax Compak, i was pleasantly surprised with the great packing it comes in such bright colours doesn't look like the usually tampon packaging which is great specially if like me you have an inquisitive toddler that likes to pull things out of your bag at the most inappropriate places, love that each each of the different levels of flow comes in different colours, and the plastic applicator makes it easier to insert then the usually cardboard applicators, and there very reliable and super comfortable, and will be using them again

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this amazing product! I have never used tampons in my life and I can now safely say that I am over this fear!! I gave a few tampons to m friends to try out, each of them have various flows ranging from light flow to a heavy flow. I got amazing feedback. They are super comfortable, easy to use, HIGHLY effective and are also great for nose bleeds! :'-) I love the discreet packaging. No ine would even be able to guess what it is. It looks like a toffee :-)

So here we go that dreaded time of the month when you feel like you can’t do anything exciting or adventures. You just want to sit at home be lazy, but not with Tampax Applicator Tampons really I am impressed.
First of all I am a new user to the Tampons game so this is my time experiences using the applicator versions of any Tampon brand out there, and to my surprise I really enjoyed the Tampax compacts they are so discreet easy to hide away and not feel embarrassed when or if it falls out of your handbag. I know we have all had one of those moments a time or two.
So to start off I received two versions of the Tampax:
• Normal
• Super
As for size there was not much difference at all they almost looked exactly the same, I loved the packaging in the colours matching the type of flow you have. This makes it so easy to grab the right one of your bag.
Overall I am very happy to have tried the Tampax Tampons they have truly changed me over and will continue to use Tampax from now on.

Its that time of the month again... I guess we all don't really look forward to the red robot however I always prepare myself for the worst. Like having my toiletry bag packed with all the necessary and Thanks to Beauty Bulletin I tried and tested the Tampax Compak Tampons :)
The packaging was so cute when it arrived and as I opened up the pack there were two boxes, one green and the other yellow with flowers hmmmm! These tampons are very easy to use as the pack comes along with guide lines. The applicator makes the insertion so much easier as it simply glides in with a little push. The tampon will then be pushed out of the mold of the applicator which means its less messy and when its comfortably inserted all you have to do is remove the applicator :) and you done. SIMPLE and CLEAN !!
Its small enough to fit in your purse or bag and great for travelling. It fits well and I feel confident wearing the Tampon when Im out and about. Will recommend this to all ages :)

I travel to see my other half once a month! What a pleasure to not have awkward looking wrappers in my bag and not having to worry about where to pack Tampax. It fits in everywhere :)
I found the Tampax tampons to be efficient and effective in providing me with less things to worry about during that time of the month. I could do all the tourist things in CT, without having to worry about the dreaded time of the month.

I was introduced to tampons after a very long time as after having children everything changes. I found the packaging colourful and bright. The individual tampons and applicators where something new to me as I never used tampons with applicators before.
I found the Tampax tampons to be efficient and effective in providing me with less things to worry about during that time of the month. I even wore a white dress whilst experiencing my monthlys and was not afraid of having to find a red spot after sitting anywhere.
This is a great product and price wise it is very much in Line with other products that are similar. But one downfall that I think should be mentioned is that a box with a mix of Absorbent strengths should be sold as not always only one strength is used during the duration of a menstrual cycle and therefore having to buy different Absorbent strengths of Tampax tampons for the month will not be cost effective.
So with this in mind the usual market of average earning woman from age 16-26 won't be able afford two to three boxes for variety of absorbent strengths every month.
But over all, the product is great and provides value for money spent. it provided myself with great confidence once again, In wearing figure hugging or white clothes . Will recommend it to others.

The product on its own is real easy to use and is very comfortable and you don't feel it once it's inserted. I never used applicators before that was a first for me and i genuinely don't mind it.
I will definitely be using it again, thanx to BB for introducing me to it.

My experience was super! It was easy and very comfortable....had absolutely no hassles whatsoever . will definitely be purchasing on a monthly bases....Tampax Kompak took great care of me....although i always opt to wear a sanitary pad for that extra protection against accidents....with tampax kompak there was no need at all!

Having tried a tampon three years ago and being totally put off the uncomfortable nature of them, I was a bit apprehensive when I received my Tampak box. Like always, I read the pamphlet from cover to cover in the hope of gaining confidence, and when I opened to look at the packaging I was quite pleased to see how pretty they were individually wrapped. Pretty in pink.
After some experimenting with my gift, I have a new outlook and a changed perception of tampons. Tampak have managed to create a product that is user friendly, so to speak, lol. I felt confident and fresh with my new found gift. Faith in tampons restored :-) I no longer dread "that time of the month" where i have to carry around old fashioned pads. After some experimenting with my gift, I have a new outlook and a changed perception of tampons. Tampak have managed to create a product that is user friendly, so to speak, lol. I enjoyed using the new Tampax compak. I like how easy it to hide in your purse and that I don't have to feel uncomfortable if someone saw them.

being a regular tampon user since 3 years ago, i found the actual tampon fairly average in quality. when pulling it out and getting ready for insertion, i noticed that the fabric came a bit loose at the bottom where the string hangs out from. also, i struggled quite a bit to get the package and the individual wrappers open where normally one just has to twist or pull a string to unwrap.
i do however LOVE the plastic applicator. having tried the paper ones previously, it was quite uncomfortable inserting it and the claw-like point was quite scratchy on insertion but the this plastic applicator was so comfortable. i barely felt like i was using an applicator.
would definitely purchase this if they improve the quality of the actual tampon.

So, I have never in my life tried applicator tampons, so receiving the Tampax Compak was a little nerve wrecking. I had an idea of how to use applicator tampons but I read through the instructions just in case.
All I can say is WOW! I didn't even know I was using an applicator. It was so simple and easy to use, I wasn't even scared to use it a second time.
The tampon itself is so soft and comfortable, you don't even feel that discomfort of when you're nearing the end of your period.
I'm one of those girls who was never able to sleep through the entire night with only a tampon on, other wise it'd leak. Not with Tampax Compak. I woke up ans I was totally dry and completely satisfied with the quality I was getting.
I am very impressed!

Thus is my Month 2 review. Í must say, thus time around I felt the smooooooooothness of the applicator.
I'm sure it was because I was not as nervous as the last time. All I could think of then was not to hurt my intimate part with "this plastic thing"

But here my review goes - and why I will be sticking with non applicators.
The first two I tried were disastrous.... I didn’t read the instructions as I was I a hurry and thought to myself... I am a smart girl... how hard can it be...
Well turns out, reading the instructions is a very good idea... trust me!
So this month I tried them again and decided that they are not bad at all.
The tampon itself is not as rigid as non applicator ones which allows it to absorb from the moment its inserted. This is good for heavy flow!
The wrapper is hygienic, colourful & cute, love it! Wont say it looks like a candy but it certainly doesn’t necessarily scream "look at me, I'm a tampon"

I was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the lucky few to try out the new Tampax Compak. Firstly the packaging with it different color variations and with it vibrant colors caught my eye, The product is individually wrapped so you know that its 100% safe and hygenic. Its comfortable to use with its easy instruction booklet. I love it and would recommend it over and over again ,,,, Definitely going to be on my shopping list .,... Thank Tampax....

Yes that's exactly how I felt when I tried to apply the Tampax compax tampons, Mission: apply tampon. All that was missing was a laboratory coat and a suitcase, Lol! Well that's how I felt when reading the instructions and doing the practical side of things. I was a bit skeptical about the applicater, worried if I will get it right and what if the whole thing gets stuck inside. Now that would have been a mission failure. With the easy to read instructions I managed to put on my grown up girl panties on and went on with my mission. I felt like Dexter! I assumed my position with my knees bent and feet apart and in just a few seconds the mission was accomplished. The tampon was safely placed and it felt like nothing was in there. I had to check if the string was still in view a couple of times before doing my happy girl dance (you don't want to see that, Lol!) I think with the presence of the applicator it makes things seem like a top mission (if you know what I mean) even if you are used to putting on a normal tampon. But what makes the tampax compak tampons different is that it is more hygienic when applying it.
When a mission is a success why not teach your girlfriend. Yes that's what I eventually had to do with my girlfriend who was a first time user of tampons. All I said was take a deep breath and relax and handed her the leaflet (nope I wasn't going to do it for her). She found it easier to stand with one leg on the toilet seat and with my motivation shouting "relax and take a few deep breaths" from the other side of the door. Well that was the best I could do:-) Seconds later she opened the door saying, "mission completed. " I asked her if she feels anything and she replied, "am I suppose to feel something? " Right then I knew that mission: apply tampon and mission code: Tampax Compak (TC) was successful!

When I received the box of tampons I was excited at the size of the tampons with the applicators. I gave up on using tampons with applicators very early on as they were big, bulky & very noticeable when you had to make a quick dash to the bathroom. These were a pleasant surprise - they were small enough to fit easily into my purse & then my hand when I needed to go use them. I really liked the plastic applicator - it went in easily with no discomfort & I loved the fact that it was hygienic & comfortable.
The only part I wasn't happy with was when I had to remove it. It had gone long & I feared it would not all come out when I pulled! It seemed like some would be left behind as it had almost 'separated' inside me. This happened with every tampon I used. With the other tampons I use, they retain their shape & stay quite solid which makes me a lot more confident that they are holding all they can & they will not fall apart inside me.
Overall though I was happy with this product, & will most probably give them another try later on in the year :)

I personally am not a fan of tampons and never have been, reason being that I found pain and discomfort in inserting them. Until Tampax Compak, it's so comfortable and easy to insert. I felt no discomfort throughout the whole day and thankfully had a pleasurable holiday on the beach even though it was that time of the month. Love this product.

I really liked how small the Compak tampons were compared to other brands... they really are easy to hide or carry with you. I also found the normal size one to be very comfortable.
But when I wanted to use the larger size I was very disappointed unfortunately :-(
The tampon did something strange... I can't really described it but I took a photo of it to show you. I opened the one after the other and all of them did it (only the larger ones, not the regular ones). I am not sure if this is a defect and if it is supposed to do it, but I did not like it at all and could not wear it like that. What I also didn't like was the noise the wrapping makes... when us girls go to the bathroom to change our tampons we don't want the whole world to know what we are doing in there and to me it feels like the wrapping just makes to much noise when opening it... maybe that's just me.

I’ve never been the biggest fan of tampons, but when my friend first introduced these to me from America, I couldn’t help but fall in love with them! Then when I heard they had hit our Western Shores, I couldn’t help but fall in love all over again!
They are ideal for girls like myself who hate lugging around giant handbags, or bags at all. They fit comfortably into the smaller zipper compartments of my handbag and into my purse.

So the little colourful boxes: in a lemon (yellow) colour and an apple green colour. They really go well with most of the summer outfits we ladies love to flaunt. The lemon (yellow) colour in the regular pack and the apple green for the heavier flow.
They come in colourful applicators just like the mother packs they are cozily put in. I have never seen applicators that are so colourful and attractive. So they had my full attention, now what about how they really work?
Day one started smoothly as the applicator was so easy to use. I was comfortable in inserting it and I hardly felt I had it inside of me as it rested well. As it began to fill, I could tell immediately due to the fact that it began moving down. I was not leaking at all though it was a very heavy day for me. As I was to remove it, I realized that the string is shorter than most tampon strings I have used before. This could work if you are dressing up in those micro outfits and want to be discreet. Yet you could have a problem in pulling it out if you build bigger. Yet it all depends on your feel. I examined it and behold, it was full capacity and I had no leakages? WOW! It also was easy to remove - just remember to check if the string is attached properly so that you are shocked at a time you need to check the inserted one.
I moved then towards the lemon friend as days went because the flow was lessening. It felt even easier .....well it is smaller. I thought it might slip out and fall because for a moment, I felt nothing but myself. Few times I had to remind myself that yes, it is inserted. Then I worried again if I will know when it fills and that I wont make a boo-boo with any leaks as it was just too petite. Guess what what? It warned me discreetly when it filled, it moved lower and I got the hint.
Ladies, I have loved this journey which I never know as to how howl it will last.

Using Tampax Compax has really made my life so incredibly easy. Not only are they discreet and compact they are so super comfortable. I often forget it is even that time of month :) I used to be so afraid of leakage that i would constantly check myself and get my friends to 'Check Me' which was code for please see that i haven't got that dreaded patch on my backside! I feel so confident knowing that I am taken care of by my Tampon. The plastic applicator is the most important aspect for me personally, i used to find that the cardboard applicators used to scratch me or bend so easily. Soooo being a newbie to the Beauty Bulletin crew, I was really excited to find a package delivered for me yay and like many other reviewers, it came at the best time of the month.... Anyhoo, I'm also a Lil lets user and thought lets give it a go and was very happy with the product.
I also am not an applicator kinda gal but with that being said, the product was very easy to use, the only qualm I did have was the dangly bit where the string came out, it wasn't as " compak" as I thought as it would be... the colours where great which made everything a little more fun to work with.

Tampax compak the best I've ever use.The packaging is very fun and funky, eyes catching indeed. I just love how easy the tampons are inserted because of the plastic applicator . No mess nothing. My biggest fear is always that the entire bus i staring at me whilst I remove my white bullet from my bag above the seats. What if it falls? Oh no
With Tampax compact I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging. It literally seemed like I was removing a sweet to nibble on from my over-head bag. So even if it fell down, I would pick it up with ease.

By total fluke i decided to try this brand of tampons because i found myself pacing up and down the isle feeling intrigued by the size of this applicator tampon.....
what i love:
1 smooth, easy and very small to insert
2 soft packing that is the outer plastic packaging and the applicator packaging itself
3 staying dry no matter how busy the day,no leaks besides when it indicates its full other than that you cant even feel its there
what i hate:
1 .....
the fact that they have a multi pack or duo pack with 2 sizes is an absolute steal because you use the one size for beginning and end and the other size for in between or day 2 and 3 when you have a heavier flow!

I recently received the New Tampax Tampons from Beauty Bulletin well before my cycle, hence the relayed review. When I First received the boxes I thought the packaging was very cute and brightly coloured, green being the normal/heavy and yellow being the Light. Its easy to just throw in ones bag without loosing it amongst the MANY ITEMS because of the bright wrapping.
I must confess I was never a fan of applicator since the previous Tampax was cardboard and apon application I personally needed some KY to lubricate the actual applicator otherwise it would be a very dry sore affair when inserting the actual tampon. I stayed away from all applicators and kept to the normal tampons which for me eas easier to use.
With the new plastic applicator it is super easy, since its plastic and smaller it just makes it soo much EASIER and CLEANER!! Can I just emphasis the ease in using it!!! It basically just glides in without discomfort. That won me over to stock pile.
I am comparing tampax to other brands. Since I do work out 3-4 times a week and I usually alternate between running, yoga and floor work and sometimes Zumba to motivate since I dislike exercising but I do love it eat lol....And as a woman when you are running or stretching on a mat you really do not want any accidents. I tend to opt for tampons that offer Normal/Heavy coverage when I work-out, and the Tampax actually offered me that coverage! While running I didn't feel any leakage or danger there of. I didn't have to wear a liner which is need when working out since the tampon absorbed and maintained the "liquid" during my entire work-out.
I also found that I could use the ladies without removing it, there was no absorption since the string is fairly short and didn't hang low (hahaha). And when wearing anything short/tight we don't really want that long string peaking out.
My overall opinion is that I do like the new Tampax tampons as a must for my gym bag or when I'm heading out for the evening. Since Tampax gives me that piece of mind that I'll be clean. Tampax made me brave enough to wear WHITE while on my cycle!!! It's a must have for any woman who uses tampons and or wants to make a change over to Applicator Tampons.

After being a staunch "other brand" user since my teens, I was really keen on trying something different. I must be honest though, I've always tried to stay away from applicator tampons for fear of "damaging" my most intimate part!
The tricky part for me was actually inserting the tampons using the applicator. The first 2 tries were an absolute disaster!!! I ended up removing the tampon from the applicator and inserted it using the normal non-applicator method. I just couldn't get it right. Eventually I went back to the instructions, relaxed my body as suggested' and voila!!!! I'm proud to say after 3 blotched attempts, I finally got it right.
I was also a bit skeptical as I noticed that the actual tampon was much softer than the usual bully shaped tampons from other brands. I used a liner "just in case" . After 4 hours I found that there was no "accident", which finally got me to relax. My mother of all tests was wearing it at night as usually with the other brands or even pads, I find that I have to get up to change the tampon. With TAMPAX Applicator tampons I slept right through, with not a slight accident!
I'm not sure about the shape though, but looking it suggested that whoever designed it had a real understanding of the woman's delicate anatomy, which was quite interesting for me. Overall, one of the best female products by far, and I definitely would be using them going forward. I just hope I can find them in store, after all, with so many positive reviews, these will definitely be flying off the shelf!! Thanks BB and TAMPAX!
