I have been using Tampax over the years as I loved their applicator which made use of the product so much easier for us sensitive gals.
However, the actual product I feel, is lacking. It doesn't last as long as I would want and it loses it shape too quickly. I also feel that it almost moves down during wear which gets uncomfortable really quickly.
The only upside is the applicator, the product is mediocre.

Okeyyyy then, little out of my comfort zone since this would be the first time I review something other than a Beauty or Skin product!! ;-)
But here goes. First of all it comes in this super colorful box which just kind of takes your mind of the depressing forecast. I absolutely love the short and compact size of each tampon which make carrying them around or handling them discreet sooooo much easier than their predecessors which was almost as long as your arm hie hie hie hie.
The round plastic tip makes it easy to insert and the product itself feels very comfortable. BUT there are one thing that kind of put me off Tampax and that is.......
Tampax seems to grow in length as it absorbs more than in width which is kind of the opposite of what you want. Its as if a Tampax is stitched through the middle from the top to the bottom before its compacted and packed where as most other tampons just grow in width with no stitching even showing (so how its made I don't know).
This might not be a problem for young girls , but for women who had babies and obviously need to use a plus size a tampon growing in width is just that much more reassuring that there will be no unexpected surprises!
But other than that its stays a super amazing product

Thanks BB for letting me be part to review this great product, and a big thanks to Tampax for creating this product for us. I received my box and I was ecstatic and nervous at the same time. Since I I have a loop I get heavy flow during my second and third day of my periods and it's not easy to use something new because you don't know if it's going to disappoint you. I tried it anyway and it worked like a glove. I loved the packaging it's so colourful and it looks like a sweet so even if someone sees it won't be a problem. I love the fact that it fits my small cosmetic bag perfectly. The plastic cover is a cherry on the top and the round tip makes it easier to insert the tampon. It's a must have for all women who likes being free of worries during that time of the month

Firstly, thank you BB for the opportunity to try out the new Tampax Compak tampons I received a while ago.
As a 40 something woman, my period seems a bit erratic of late and to be very honest I'm typically not a huge fan of tampons, although having said that, they definitely have their place and serve their purpose, especially when one is active as it is a lot more comfortable and discreet than pads.
I received the Super (green) and Regular (yellow) tampons in my Tampax Compak Multipack. The packaging certainly is very attractive - the boxes and wrappers come in funky colours - they almost look like boxes of sweets. I must say that at first I found the applicator process unfamiliar and a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, it definitely makes application simpler - no mess, no fuss.
However, whilst the Tampax tampons are generally comfortable once inserted, they do not seem to be as absorbent as other brands, which have a different, "moulded" bullet shape. Usually my flow is heaviest on the first and/or second day and I usually suffer from really bad cramps, and I find tampons, particularly on those days to be a little uncomfortable.
As I believe that I am nearing menopause, it seems unlikely that I will be using tampons too much in the future but based on my experience, I would certainly recommend Tampax tampons.

after all the ranting and raving I couldn't wait to get my hands on these :) I tried them and I loved the fact that it comes in a small cute package that looks like sweetie wrappers - but after trying it I must say I don't really like how it "absorbs" - if that's what you can call it , when removing these tampons they come out all squished and almost 'messy; - they cant compare to lillets in that department - the only thing I loved about this was the packaging - im going to stick to lillets and what I know - when using lillets I almost feel like they are less messy and 'stronger' - tampax is not my Fav brand

I received a few tampons in the mail that Clicks sent me. I have never tried the applicator tampons so I was a bit curious to try these out. My first attempt as this ended badly, and I won't try the applicators again. The tampon it self was also not up to my standards. The string is shorter than the other tampons I am used to, and this scared me. (I have a silly fear of it getting stuck. lol) It also didn't keep it's 'form', it really just looks like home made piece of cotton on a string. Not for me.

Firstly, my package arrived super fast. So loads of love to you girls over at BB. Secondly, I liked the packaging. Pretty and girly, making it a little more bearable having to go through periods every month.
I have always loved using tampons. They are just so much more effective than pads. Tampax was the first ones I ever tried too, as those were the ones my mom used. But they had a problem then, and it is the same problem I have with them now.
I do love the new compak version - they are way more discreet to carry around, especially if you are on your way to the loo and don't have a pocket. And the applicator defs makes it easier to use. So big thumbs up there.
But my problems are the following:
Way too much packaging for such a small thing. And you use so many, imagine how the papers and applicators pile up each month!
They just don't expand the way other tampons do. Yes they are absorbent, but instead of expanding width ways to sit tightly inside you, these still expand length ways. Which means that every time I used one, it leaked. As opposed to other brands I've tried that expand width ways. It also didn't matter if I used the size I am supposed to, or a bigger one. And yes, I did change it every 4 or 5 hours as they say on the packaging. This meant that I couldn't sleep with them and had to use another brand at night.
So in general, I was NOT happy with them. The reason I use tampons is to not have to worry about anything leaking or making me uncomfortable. So these are at the bottom of my list.

So, I've never really liked tampons very much. I didn't find them that comfortable at all and they are generally a lot more expensive than pads. I figured, why waste money one something I didn't get to choose that happens to me each month. I did, however understand, that sometimes tampons are just more convenient for certain outfits and occasions, so when I saw an opportunity to review the Tampax tampons, I was like, why not.
Firstly, they arrived super fast, so shout-out to Beauty Bulletin and the courier company for crazy fast delivery. Secondly, the packaging of how each tampon is wrapped, cute! I seriously does look like sweets! My dad walked into my room and poked one, and was like, "are these sweets," to which I replied, "no dad, they're tampons." His face slightly paled and he left the room. Shame.
I'm not one to be fooled by packaging, as it is usually a waste considering the world's environmental stance right now, but the packaging on the individual tampons is really great, because you can throw them in a jacket pocket, hand bag, pencil case, without it looking obvious that it is in fact a tampon.
The actual applicator is a cool concept and all, but I'm honestly not convinced that it is necessary. It is a waste of plastic. Now I don't want to sound like a crazy environmentalist, but the applicator is thrown away immediately after use and that is it. Yes, I suppose it could be recycled, but how many people in South Africa actually recycle? I know the point of reviewing the product was not necessarily looking at materials used, but I think it is something we should consider. I've read the previous applicator was cardboard, is this not a better concept considering it can be recycled, or at least broken down naturally?
Moving on to effectiveness of Tampax. The product itself worked wonderfully. Great absorption and relatively comfortable. So that was a hit.
Would I recommend Tampax? Yes and no. Yes, because the product works well and the packaging is nice and discreet. No, because I'm just not sold on the idea of all the embodied energy involved in manufacturing plastic applicators.

This tampon has done what no other could. It has converted me. I didn't think of doing a review on it until hubby picked one up last night and asked me what sweet it was. I tried using tampons many years ago and gave up on them as never being comfy or easy to insert. With all the hype surrounding this I decided to give it a try and it did what no other could, it converted me. I can no longer use old fashioned pads after feeling the superior comfort of tampax compak. It is super easy to insert, not like those old huge cardboard ones that never went in or out smoothly. The pad itself absorbs better than anything I have ever used. It expands both lengthwise and widthwise. I think the leak guard skirt is absolutely genius as it keeps me feeling dry the entire day. This is the only tampon that has not given me thrush. Then there is the packaging, totally cute and when I am out in public very discreet to pop into my pocket when running to the ladies room.

I’ve always considered Tampax to be a trusted household brand; however I have been using the competitor brand for many years now.
So I had to give Tampax Compak a try. At first I struggled with the insertion due to my ignorance and not reading the leaflet and instructions first. The packaging (wrapper) is beautiful I love how it’s camouflaged into something pretty and sweetie like. We are definitely evolving. I’m not entirely sure if I like the plastic applicator. I was cautious at first but then learnt that it’s not that bad at all. Change can be a difficult thing for me.
I have to agree that the absorbency of the tampons is great. No leaks and no mess, I was a bit apprehensive because of my heavy flow in the first 2 days of my period. There was no discomfort or irritation for duration of my period.
The price is right, the product is great!
I have absolutely no complaints about this product I can honestly recommend Tampax Compak to all the women out there. I will definitely consider the move to Tampax Compak

I have been telling my friends for a while now that I really want to start using tampons, so you can imagine how excited I was when I received my very own packet of Tampax from BB (so many firsts with BB). Unfortunately Mother Nature came a little late this month but finally I was able to put the tampons to the test. Firstly the package?? How adorable is that? There are two packets of tampons inside, regular-for a light to medium flow and super-For a medium to heavy flow. Now my period this month decided to be friendlier so I only used the regular tampons. At first I have to admit I was a bit scared so I read the leaflet found inside plenty times before inserting the tampon and...YES I’m now an official tampon user, tampax is so comfortable after a while I forgot I even have them on. I set an alarm to remind me of when I have to change it...I tend to forget easily. However when I go to sleep I used a sanitary towel as I sleep more than 8 hours sometimes. Haven’t tried Tampax?? What are you waiting for? Try it and never go back to those huge uncomfortable sanitary towels. Xoxo to you beauties.

Very nicely packaged product and funky colours. I love the fact that is compact and handbag size the only problem is the appilcator does not release much of the tampon to be inserted. I found it difficult to use as I am not too comfortable inserting too much of the appilcator. When I did try it also did not release the tampon so when I pulled it out the tampon was still attached to the applicator.

Tampax Compak gives me freedom to do the things I want to do even at that time of the month.I particularly enjoyed the discreetness of the product, the packaging is so ingenious, no embarrassment whatsoever if you spilled the contents of your handbag, or when you want to dispose of the applicator.I have used tampons for as long as I can remember but never the ones with an applicator so it did feel kind of like the first time when using them.The diagram/instructions had me a bit confused, so I decided to pretend I was using my finger like I did before.Needless to say, it didn't go to well trying to remove the applicator,on the second use i tried again.Once the tampon was in place there was a pop sound and the applicator can out hassle free.I felt like Superwoman! I thoroughly enjoyed using the product and now I look forward to my periods because I know am FREE!

I have started using tampon of another brand- not Tampax-since I started menstruating- in 1990. So I was a bit sceptical to try Tampax with the applicator.
Guess what??
That applicator that I was scared of- actually it is the best invention ever.
With my old tampon I had to insert it with my finger. Most of the times I would not insert it correctly as the walls of my vigina swells a bit.
This will result in pain and discomfort.
But with Tampax Compak - it is different. The applicator guides the tampon correctly to its place. I don't have to worry anymore. There was never discomfort.
The applicator is so soft you cant even feel it when you insert it. The rounded end is very comfortable and soft.
I enjoyed using the product and will recommend it.

I haven't used tampons in 6years. And when I was offered the opportunity to review the Tampax Compak I was a bit sceptical.
I am a busy Mom who loves gym and jogging. And during "that time of the month" I usually don't go to gym because of the discomfort.
Thanks to Tampax Compak, I went to gym for the first time without having to worry about discomfort or checking myself every 2minutes. I almost forgot that it was that time of the month.

I have only once in my life used tampons with applicators before testing Tampax Compact, and not sure whether I will again. I struggled to get the applicator to work, it was as if the pull out part was stuck and I had to go so far as to use my teeth to get it open. Using my teeth on a tampon is not my kind of fun..
Furthermore, the tampon did not "blow up" as much as my normal tampons does, it went in as a long and thin tampon and came out as such. I felt that I had to change it more often to prevent it from bleeding through.
On the positive side though, it is way better than the old cardboard like applicators, and once I got the hang of it, it was easy to use, just not efficient enough for me.
Furthermore, the tampon did not "blow up" as much as my normal tampons does, it went in as a long and thin tampon and came out as such. I felt that I had to change it more often to prevent it from bleeding through.

In all my life since the beginning of my periods, I have only exposed myself to one brand of tampons and developed my trust. But as I started using the Free trial pack I got from BB, I was so perplexed at the effectiveness of this product. I am someone who has a heavy floor such that I would usually use a tampon and a pad to avoid leakage. But this time around things were very different, my flow was the same, but it felt so different because I had a new friend, insertion was so smooth, so much you wouldn`t feel you just put anything in. I would literally forget that I have something in, the level of absorption in the Tampax Compak tampon is so wow! I didn`t think I will ever find any other brand I can trust when it comes to my periods, that was until last week when I had an opportunity to put to test this awesome product.

I received my package of tampax compact to try out a while back, and eventually that time of the month arrived. I don't use tampons much, and when i do i add another layer of protection just to make sure that there are no leaks.
With tampax compact i didn't have to do that. They fit snuggly, and were comfortable. I'm now moving away from pads and definitely using tampax compact. absolutely love them. Thanks Beauty Bulletin

I received a parcel few weeks ago and was so happy to be selected as a reviewer of Tampax and deep down I was scared since I haven't used tampons my whole life. I kept them at work hoping for my "time of the month" not to come, but who am I to stop the nature? And it had to come when I was at work, I was left with no choice but to open my parcel and went to ladies to use it. It took me long to put it on as I was a first time user reading outside the packaging how to put it on. I must say it is really a self explanatory notes that makes easier for anyone who is using them whether for first time or not. And it is so discreet that no one can even notice that you have the whole packet.

I received the product a few months ago a little after I needed them so I had to wait some time before I could use them. I was super excited! The packaging is great, and the individually wrapped tampons are so inconspicuous- just like i like them.
The applicator is great and small and easy to use. The tampons themselves are smooth and feel great - because I could not feel them at all,
The only problem I had was absorbency is terrible! I had a regular and super pack and both were not of any use to me after day 1. I have a particularly heavy flow on day 2-3. I did not last past 30 min with the one tampon.

Hi Its that time of the month for me. This was my first time using any type of tampon, I was fortunate enough to be chosen by Tampax to review their product. The packaging was very amusing for me lots of colours and funky, the plastic applicator is very convenient as i did not mess myself when inserting it. I was very anxious on the first night as i usually mess my bed due to heavy flow i was so amazed when waking up there so not a tiny spot. I even forgot that i am on periods, i am so looking forward going to the gym today. Your product did not disappoint me.

I was one of the lucky ladies chosen to review the Tampax Compak, i was pleasantly surprised with the great packing it comes in such bright colours doesn't look like the usually tampon packaging which is great specially if like me you have an inquisitive toddler that likes to pull things out of your bag at the most inappropriate places, love that each each of the different levels of flow comes in different colours, and the plastic applicator makes it easier to insert then the usually cardboard applicators, and there very reliable and super comfortable, and will be using them again

I've used applicator tampons before but what I like about the Tampax Compak is that it's so small. Really easy to stash in your clutch when going out, etc. The plastic applicator makes it very easy to use and the protective "skirt" means there's even less chance of leakage.

WOW! What a change! I've never used applicator tampons before, but these were simple and straight forward. As I have very heavy periods most products are not as effective as I would like, despite this I found them to be comfortable and are on par with other similar products.
The funky packaging design and colours are a nice change to the obviousness of regular tampons.

I was a bit skeptical about tampons and never ever tried them out before.
Firstly the packaging so super amazing you'd think it's sweet wrappers. I used the super absorbent tampons because of my heavy flow. They were a bit uncomfortable at first because I had to learn how to insert them properly but the plastic applicator helped a lot.....Here is to my next period with Tampax Compak :)

I was ignorant to using Tampons... I was uneducated, and when I used it, I obviously inserted it incorrectly, so when sitting, walking or standing I was in enormeous pain.
2 years went by and a friend of mine insisted that when we went away that I use tampons. I told her about my TERRIBLE PAINFUL experience - she then gave me the BEST advice ever.
Put a little bit of vaseline on the tip, insert and push up-and-back.
I dont worry about getting my period any longer. I even forget when I have my period. I dont know what I was such a 'late-bloomer' for this product.
I will always encourage it to EVERY female. You forget about your period

This must be the holy grail when it comes to periods not only are the tampons very discreet they are easy to use and fit perfectly on any body type.and rest assured they are reliable and let you get on with the rest of your day, the applicator is also amazing easy and quick to use just in seconds you are sorted. Thank-you for the opportunity to review this amazing product! I have never used tampons in my life and I can now safely say that I am over this fear!! I gave a few tampons to m friends to try out, each of them have various flows ranging from light flow to a heavy flow. I got amazing feedback. They are super comfortable, easy to use, HIGHLY effective and are also great for nose bleeds! :'-) I love the discreet packaging. No ine would even be able to guess what it is. It looks like a toffee :-)

Thanks so much for the opportunity to do this survey. what a wonderful experience! I have not had a period in almost 5 years and changed contraceptives middle 2014. And wow, quite scary with all the new stuff on the market. not only that, I am also a dancer, and really need the right 'protection'!

The packaging is very neat and the actual paper is very cute and discreet anyone would think im carrying around candy lol.
However on my first day i attempted to use it was not successful i had to remove it. It was my first time using a tampon with a applicator.
I then read the instructions again and attempted it for the second time and i was still unsuccessful ended up removing it
on my third attempt i finally got it.
After using it for 3 days i dont think tampax is for me i found it to be too much of a hassle

Being a 33 year old mother to three daughters all under the age of 9, personal space is a term I left behind years ago. So, when I am moody and miserable and suffering from lower abdominal cramps during the first week of each month, the last thing I need is my precious time in the loo to attend to my tampon-change to be interrupted by a lassie asking what I am doing.
Firstly, I mostly use the regular-size tampons because my flow is not what it used to be (after three babies and birth-control) I am happy to report that at least I do not have to use the super-size tampons as regularly as before. The fact that the tampons are packaged as "cutely" as they are, means that I can now hide them in the discreet side-zip pocket of my handbag which my daughters will never discover. I always preferred applicator tampons because I could never walk around with a jar of Vaseline in order to insert my non-applicator tampons - no way! So, with the new design of these tampons, it is super discreet and I love that especially for work purposes when I need to use the loo, or even at home, because at least I don't have three enquiring minds asking what I have in my hand, and what is it used for?:)

I never have to worry about tampons rolling out of my bag because it is kept in the small zipped pocket of my handbag now, whereas before, I would have the long yellow or white wrapped tampons rolling around in my bag and then having to shove them up a long-sleeved top before running to the loo. So here we go that dreaded time of the month when you feel like you can’t do anything exciting or adventures. You just want to sit at home be lazy, but not with Tampax Applicator Tampons really I am impressed.
First of all I am a new user to the Tampons game so this is my time experiences using the applicator versions of any Tampon brand out there, and to my surprise I really enjoyed the Tampax compacts they are so discreet easy to hide away and not feel embarrassed when or if it falls out of your handbag. I know we have all had one of those moments a time or two.
So to start off I received two versions of the Tampax:
• Normal
• Super
As for size there was not much difference at all they almost looked exactly the same, I loved the packaging in the colours matching the type of flow you have. This makes it so easy to grab the right one of your bag.
Overall I am very happy to have tried the Tampax Tampons they have truly changed me over and will continue to use Tampax from now on.
