This product works great as a daily foundation. It lasts about 3 months of daily use. I have purchased at least 5 of these in my life. The only downside is that it doesn't last all day.

This was actually my first ever foundation, and I used it for a good few years too, not really knowing any better. It really is an excellent foundation, with great coverage and lasts for ages!
I have found that the formula oxidizes quite a bit, and for some reason the MAC consultants still don't seem to take this into consideration! So my biggest tip - get a tester first! Check that the shade works in natural light as it looks very different when you put it on at the counter. Because it oxidizes, it's super important that you test how it wears on your face for a few hours first.
I still use this foundation every so often, though not quite like I used to. I feel like the coverage is a bit too heavy for me, and it transfers quite a bit. Now I mix it in with my daily foundation to amp up the coverage instead, or use it on it's own (with a deep moisturiser and primer) only when I want a really flawless made up look.
I have read that it makes others oily, but for me it seemed to actually dry my skin out. My skin has of course changed over the years and have found other foundations that suit me better so probably won't repurchase in a hurry.
I'd still recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality full coverage foundation instead of a natural one. Just make sure you get a sample/tester first!!

When I first started buying makeup, the only brand that anyone ever knew was MAC. Like all indian girls, I was matched to an NC45 and lived my life being 3 shades darker than I actually was. The product itself is pretty decent. Its full coverage and has some nice undertone. HOWEVER, the brand itself has not done much to put people's minds at ease when it comes to their service and for me, that is a deal breaker. Considering how much we have to spend on this product, I would expect the service to be REALLY MIND BLOWING. I've found way better brands that are more affordable.

This is the best foundation I have ever used. I went through 5 different foundations before I gave Mac a try. After it took my BFF 6 months of persuasion to buy Mac, I never regretted it.
It gives full coverage.

My first and most favorite foundation. This is definitely the only foundation that I matched correctly while I was in school and sincr has been my favorite. I trust mac with all my life and so there is no thinking twice for this product. Thumbs up!!

A bit of a miss for darker skin tones

I wear Studio Fix in NW50, great formula with good wear. It blends into my skin and can be used with a multitude of primers. As a dark skinned girl hyper pigmentation can be a problem and I find it makes those areas look a little ashy. I usually have to colour correct these areas and this is solved.
The colour range on the darker side is a little disappointing. The colour is close enough to get away with on the center of my face but there are a few missing "inbetween" shades that has made me look at other brands. The satin finish is beautiful and there isnt much movement once it sets.
It is definitely more expensive than a drugstore foundation but I have sensitive skin and it doesn't react with my skin at all and it doesn't oxidize. Oxidation is an issue I have with foundations.
Worth the money for the great formula if you find a colour match you like. A little goes a long way so its worth the save regardless.

I absolutely LOVE MAC Studio Fix Fluid. It isn't cakey or heavy on the skin. It's a light formula with great buildable coverage,sometimes i don't even have to use a concealer, which saves me a lot of money. It is also very long lasting . With this product, a little goes a long way. It leaves a nice,smooth and healthy looking finish on my skin, not too matte, not too dewy. I am a huge fan of this product and would definitely recommend it to anybody as it has many good shades which will most likely match any skin tone and type. It is also a reasonably priced high end make up product.

I love using MAC Studio Fix Fluid on my night out with my girls, considering that I have acne scars the coverage is satisfying and I usually don't have to use concealer with it. It also last a bit longer than some of the brands that I have tried for my oily skin.

I Love this foundation. Its creamy and the shades are endless. It doesnt do the work of a concealer but if I apply it and let it sit, then where ever I have spots add more foundation and dab it works perfectly as a concealer.
Its a little pricey for the size but it lasted me about 6 months, using it at least 3 times a week.
It has a great feel to it, gives the skin a photo finished looked.

I applied the foundation with my beuty blender and I was very pleased with the finish and coverage. You can easily build up the coverage from medium to full and the lasting power is incredible! It is perfect for oily and combination skin however I will not repurchase as it smells strongly like paint. I couldn't get past that fact.

The first thing I noticed about this product is the smell. The smell is very strong and unappealing. I used it anyway and the smell faded. The look of this foundation is really fantastic for oily skin. It has good, even coverage but the smell puts me off.

My oh my was I pleasantly surprised!
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation is simply thee best foundation I have ever purchased in my life and coming from me that's a major compliment as I test different foundations every 2 months.
Pros:
•It pairs well with 99% of drugstore primers, concealers and translucent powders.
•It's lightweight on my skin and doesn't clog up my pores.
•build-able coverage
•12 hours+ durability
•photo ready
Cons:
•a bit on the expensive side
•a no go for oily skin
•a setting spray will definitely be needed
Other than that I can not fault this product at all.

Ok, so let me first start off by telling you all that I work in an office with fluorescent lights all day, this makes a huge difference for any make up, but especially for me as I have oily skin...
Why would I still recommend this product to someone else? Because MAC is a great product and it might work for you if you have a less oily skin. I do admit that when I'm wearing this product during the weekend it works much better for me.
But back to my everyday face. My face gets way to oily, and this product is fluid so it doesn't last that long for me... and unfortunately I'd rather pay a little less for my everyday wear. I do like using this product on the weekends but I also find that the coverage isn't that great (but lovely for a minimum look).

My review is all about personal preference, I can see why everyone is completely mad about the Mac Studio Fix but if you are someone with redness, acne etc, I do not recommend this to you as you will be left disappointed as I was, yes you can build up the coverage however I found myself basically using half the bottle on one application.
For people with naturally great skin then this is definitely a light weight smooth foundation you will absolutely love. For people with problem skin, prepare to build build build.

This was my first High End makeup product that I ever bought. I have never looked back! it gives me such a flawless finish and my skin looks perfect. To me it does feel quite oil based and I have oily skin but it doesnt seem to affect my skin and still looks perfect by the end of the day! and I dont have a problem with breakouts which is what usually happens. My little bottle lasted for over a year, in fact I still have it. I thought it was finished and rushed out to buy another bottle but my first one is still going, it doesnt seem to end! Its perfect.
I will say I'm not too happy about the price. I bought my first bottle at R380 in 2015. Then I bought my second bottle for R390 (or something close to thar) in 2016, which is a fair increase but recently I went back and the price had jumped to R420. It is a very very pricey foundation, but even if I dont like the price I will still buy the product as it is a good product and it works for me and I guess I do love it. When I think about it maybe R420 once a year isnt so bad.

This is THE best foundation I have used.It gives me my desired dewy finish and full coverage.I love how a little product goes a long way,meaning it lasts longer.It is abit pricey,but I reckon its worth the mini splurge.I love how it doesnt give a 'caked on' look and actually lasts all day long,unless im extra active and need a touch-up or two.This is my all-time favourite foundation and I highly recommend it.

I've genuinely just been a MAC fan and this foundation has never disappointed me. Firstly it applies and blends like a dream and has quite a full coverage for those glam nights out.
Secondly it has a matte finish and it lasts all day long keeping you looking flawless and smooth. So would definitely recommend it to newbies.

One of the most popular foundations in existents... The MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I absolutely love this foundation, especially for those super glam nights out. I normally use this foundation for those type of nights where I want to look flawless all day/night long, other then that I make use of my other foundations that don't have a hectic full coverage. I suggest everyone give this beaut a try and always go and get your colour checked at one of the MAC stores.

The famous MAC Studio Fix Fluid. I can definitely understand why it is so notorious.
I used this foundation for about a year and absolutely loved it. It is truly a beautiful full coverage foundation creating such a smooth, matt finish. It does not create that cakey feeling and they have a wide range of colors which is great for me because I am so pale and I struggle to find a color that suites me. I have dry skin and I didnt find that it dried my skin out anymore, I did put a primer on before though.
I am not using this foundation anymore for two reasons:
1. I just cant stand the packaging - I really dont like when foundations come packaged like this. I always find I waste so much when I have to pour the foundation out of a bottle , especially when its expensive - you really dont want to waste.
2. As weird as it sounds I actually dont want such a full coverage foundation. I have now gone for a more medium coverage foundation and I am very happy.
This foundation is such good quality and I recommend it anymore who wants a full coverage foundation. .

This is the first ever MAC foundation I've purchased and it cost me R380.00. Which in my opinion is not that bad for a high-end brand if you consider what you pay for foundation anyway, when you want to buy other things though that's where it gets pricey,so when you do purchase MAC keep that in mind.
On to the Studio Fix Fluid, I honestly did not like it the first two times I've tried it, but then after I got a good cover for my pores I started loving it, now it's the foundation I use everyday, you honestly don't have to use a lot and it feels great on my skin. I have to say that on me it looks a bit dewy but not oily as I have an oily T-zone, other than that I love this foundation and I'm very glad I chose it as I'm a beginner with MAC products.

We all know that this foundation is a cult favourite. Based on my experience, let me tell you why:
First of all, I love MAC foundation scent. This foundation applies and blends like a dream. It is not a runny formula, but it is silky smooth on the skin. I also love that you have enough time to work with it as it does not set immediately.
You do not need a lot to achieve a full coverage. Eventhough it is a medium / buildable coverage foundation, one layer is all it takes to look absolutely flawless.
I adore the finish of this foundation, it is matte, but definitely not flat. It is so comfortable on the skin and does not feel heavy at all.
It does oxidise, so please be aware of this when purchasing your usual shade. It has true lasting power and provides a good 8 hour wear without having to touch up.
I 100% recommend this product if you are a newbie to MAC foundations or overwhelmed by the range of choices they offer. This suits pretty much every skin type if you are careful of how you use it.
Everyone should give this one a go atleast once. I always repurchase as this product fulfills all my needs & I can exchange my empties for a brand new lippie!

I love MAC. It is by far my favourite brand. MAC is definitely splurge purchase items and I have no regrets.
I bought the foundation from a MAC counter but be aware that the shades do oxidise. So it might appear lighter when first applying and darken throughout the day. Also , I have bad experience with the sales assistants as they often force shades that aren't suitable ...So ask them to apply some to the face and test it out before purchasing.
It has a light-medium coverage but it is buildable. It won't cover any dark skin pigmentation issues but it is good for everyday wear. It evens out the skin tone amazingly. In terms of durability, it worked well with my oily T-zone but does fade lightly throughout the day but still keeps the coverage. You may want to set it with a powder to help with the longevity .
I've been using it on week days for a couple of months and there's still a lot in the bottle..So you're definitely getting your moneys worth.
I find that it applies best with a sponge (more natural appearance) but for a better coverage, use a brush. (I use the real techniques expert face brush )
I bought the foundation from a MAC counter but be aware that the shades do oxidise. So it might appear lighter when first applying and darken throughout the day. Also , I have bad experience with the sales assistants as they often force shades that aren't suitable ...So ask them to apply some to the face and test it out before purchasing.
It has a light-medium coverage but it is buildable. It won't cover any dark skin pigmentation issues but it is good for everyday wear. It evens out the skin tone amazingly. In terms of durability, it worked well with my oily T-zone but does fade lightly throughout the day but still keeps the coverage. You may want to set it with a powder to help with the longevity .
I've been using it on week days for a couple of months and there's still a lot in the bottle..So you're definitely getting your moneys worth.
I find that it applies best with a sponge (more natural appearance) but for a better coverage, use a brush. (I use the real techniques expert face brush )

I use 2 types of Make-up one which is Full Coverage, this is when I am going for more glamorous make-up look and for those days. My favourite shade of this makeup is NC50 which has a more yellow undertone. This works better for my skin.
What I like is that you can slowly add on to it until you get to the level of coverage that you need. It also does not further make my skin dry which some foundation can.
So this is definitely my go-to Liquid foundation

Okay I absolutely love this foundation because it is very hard for me to find a foundation that does not have pink undertones. This foundation is awesome for people with yellow undertones. One this I do not like about this foundation in the summer is that by the end of the day it is extremely oily on my T zone, idk why I have tried different primers to see it was because of that but nope it is just the foundation. I do have combination skin so it really annoys me. But to use during cooler weather I think its perfect.

I love the match as well as the texture & also that it is buildable. Perfect for shoots or occasion makeup when properly applied. Its a brilliant foundation for those that have the time and energy to prime and set the HECK out of it but otherwise it will wear off and leave you disappointed.

Make sure to have one of the MAC girls try it on you so that you get a flawless coverage without lines of foundation around your face (nothing worse). This foundation can be a little dry if you already have dry skin but never fear, just mix a little of your favourite moisturizer with your dollop of foundation and apply. Will add moisture whilst giving you a more sheer coverage. Best applied with a beauty blender or a dense stipple brush. Start with a little and build up.

Even though there's not a thing wrong with the foundation I'm currently using I still have to try new ones ,I'm just built this way lol.. So when I saw my cousins skin looking amazing and she told me she's using Mac Studio Fix fluid ,I went and got myself a bottle.
The foundation is a lovely smooth liquid that goes on well and you can build it up without that cake face effect which I hate. Its medium to full coverage and feels light on the skin BUT it wears off too quickly and it rubs off onto clothing! By midday you will need to reapply so just awful for when you have to be somewhere and cannot carry around this bottle of foundation!

This is my all time favorite foundation! It is the only foundation that I have found to perfectly match my skin. It blends easily and feels light once applied. It provides medium coverage and it does't look like you have put tons of make up on your face but still covers what it needs to. Perfect for every day wear :)

Have to agree with Serendipity. Back in the day when I was a foundation newbie this was my go-to product. Nowadays, I feel like it under performs. I usually buy two different shades of foundation and the NC 45 Studio Fix fluid is one of them. By mid-day my face is so oily the USA would probably want to invade. I've tried it with and without the primer and the effect is still the same - oily T-zone. Blotting powder works but only for a short term. The foundation also rubs off really easily! I'm not a fan of touch-ups and with my busy day I hardly have time to check my makeup often. So I'd prefer to find something a bit more long-wearing. Unfortunately I just bought a brand-new bottle of it so I'm stuck!

I used to be crazy about this foundation. The colour shade matched me perfectly and it provided great coverage. Recently however, I feel like by the end of the day my make up has vanished! I dont know if my skin is changing or if MAC is just not what it used to be, but I have moved on to better and longer-wearing products that are doing wonders for my skin in comparison!

Even though the product provides a smooth finish it does not wear well throughout the day. I often have to re-apply or touch-up at midday. Also, my skin feels oily and the foundation caused my skin to break out. I like many of the MAC products, but this is definitely not one of my favourites.

Having used my previous foundation for quite a while, I decided to venture out on a mission for a new one, after all a change is as good as a holiday they say. And besides, there is nothing more exciting than trying something new especially when it comes to makeup or whatever makes you feel and look great. I chose MAC because I had used their products before, actually using their studiofix powder and foundation and am quite happy with the result I get. I settled for Studiofix because of its medium coverage and is supposed to last for quite a while. It comes in a 30ml thick glass container with a screw-on lid, which for me was not very good but you can purchase a pump separately. I love the consistency of this foundation, it really is oil-free and applies very easily. I did find though that if you needed more coverage you would have to apply more, which is nice for those who don't want that heavy make up look. I also did note that if you want it to last longer, a primer underneath after moisturizer of course, is the way to go. I love this product, I especially love how light it is and how well it blends. Love it! Love it! Love it!

This is probably is favorite product in my make up bag! I have quite oily skin and a few acne blemish scars and this is the only foundation that covers well without looking cakey! It is quite expensive but is so worth the money, a definite win for covering scars or acne!

Totally worth the money, they have shades to match each individuals complexion. I totally love MAC, the Studio Fix foundation i have been using for over 5 years now, i have never purchased a foundation which gives enough coverage, allows your skin to still feel and look great like MAC does. It would take alot for me to change my choice of foundation due to MAC.

I've been using this foundation for a few years now and I must say I absolutely love it! Its especially good for people with oily skin, its a full coverage foundation which provides a matt finish..
The only thing I dont like about is the white cast it leaves on your skin caused by the spf in it, but other than that it doesnt break me out, stays put and worth every cent....

My friend got me this foundation after my Revlon foundation ran out. And I loved it because its from MAC, naturally! It applies beautifully and offers medium to full coverage. What I liked about it was that it looks great on pictures, no ashy-ness or patchy, caked up look. What I dislike about it, is that it oxidizes quickly and transfers too much even after wearing powder! Another thing is the price at R280 it does not come cheap!

Amazing product giving great coverage! It is quite expensive but well worth the purchase. They test your skin type and colour in-store, which makes it easier. I usually stand around trying each colour to only get the correct colour after a good half hour... Nice consistency liquid.

This was the first ever high end foundation I had ever purchased and I over it. The service at the Canal Walk counter in the Foschini store was amazing. The girl that was helping me, asked about my skin type and double checked to make sure I had combination skin. She then applied this foundation to half of my face and another on the other half. I was stunned by the way my skin looked with this foundation. It covered spots on my face completely. No need for a concealer. Obviously it did not cover everything but it covered some areas. This means you end up using less concealer in the first place. I also loved the matte look of this foundation. I hate it when my face shines or looks oily once I have applied foundation.
This foundation lasts all day and because it has a matte effect, I find that I don't need a setting powder.
Sometimes though, I do find that this foundation clings to dry patches. But once I used a hydrating primer underneath this, that disappears.

I have a very fair akin tone and most foundations look yellow or orange on my skin. The only foundation that would suit my skin tone was maybeline fit me in 110. I have always used a ton of Mac products but have never been able to use the foundation because the lightest shade was nc15. To my amazement Mac has just introduced the studio fix fluid in shade nw10!!!! I was so excited that I ran out and purchase two bottles because they said the product was on a trial period. The price is expensive but great for a full coverage look.
