Avon ultra colour lip crayon

I will always have this on hand as I love the fact that it stays on so long and it is not too dry. I always add a little gloss though but it is definitely a fav and it travels in my car.

I had thought this would be an alternative to Revlon's Just bitten range as that got me hooked on lip crayons! First up this was a miss for me! I had no idea when i selected it from the brochure that it had a sparkle appearance! I don't do sparkly lipsticks! Gloss yes! Shine yes! Sparkle no! I prefer matte long wear or clear gloss thats it! I can do sparkle on my eyes on even as a subtle bronzer but I'm more a matte kinda girl! This was a disappointment! It was a pinky mauvey plum and not a solid plum! Did i mention the sparkly bits ? It tended to bleed over my lip line and was not long lasting! A disappointment for me

Similiar to Clinique chubby stick, revlon just bitten lip stain! Moisturising colour and lip liner in one! For just R62.95! Mine was a soft pinky purple! Not lasting is my only con! Comfortable to wear! Twist up from base design! Available in8 shades

I have so many things to say about this product.First I love the fact that the staying power is excellent,as it is a lip stain and not a lipstick.

The colours are so vivid and with a slight shimmer.
I thought at first that I would look like I have put glitter on my lips,but it actually gives the impression you wearing a slight gloss finish.

The colours I have and love are Showstopper Pink,Mauve and Reddy for me.I love my Showstopper pink.It literally makes people stop and comment on my lips,but all good compliments.On top of that showstopper pink is the colour for summer.

Also love the fact that you can turn the crayon and more crayon slides through.No need for sharpening,which can be a real pain and waist product.With these lip crayons there is not waste,it's easy to apply and last long.

I apply it in the morning to go to work and I only retouch it in the afternoon.
And besides it been a lip stain with glitter it does not dry my lips.

Avon, avon, avon...I'm reddy for u! No there ain't no spelling error there. What you see is what you get. I love the Avon lipcrayon-Reddy for me product. Simply no smudge and easy to apply. I love that it lasts all day. No ladies I'm not trying to buy face here and no I'm no Avon representative, just a happy, pretty girl next door. I love all things glitter and shimmering, and this product gives you just that. what I like to do after applying it is to use some clear gloss to make the colour pop. When I received the email saying I was one of the lucky members chosen to review an Avon Colour Product I was very excited. I've been using Avon since I was a teenager. I'm a big fan of all their products.

I received three Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayons: Reddy for Me, Carefree Coral, Notice Me Nude

What I like about these lipsticks is the fact that you can use it as a lip liner as well as a lipstick. It has a matte look and a creamy texture. It also has a hint of glitter and its long lasting. You can wear it on its own, or for an extra "pop" add a bit of clear lipgloss.

The Carefree Coral Crayon, I feel is perfect for younger girls. Keeping a neutral/natural look, pair this bright pinkish lip colour with a neutral eyeshadow, a little mascara, and you have a really fun look.

The Reddy for Me Crayon is actually perfect for everyday use. Its not too much ie: too bright/too dark - you can use it with your favourite eyeshadow, blush etc. and you have a very sophisticated look.

My personal favourite of the three, is the Notice Me Nude Crayon. I'm a big fan of the smokey eye, so I'm always looking for a natural/nude lip colour. This product really is perfect for me. With my dark/smokey eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara, the Notice Me Nude Crayon complimented the look really well.

Overall I think Avon's Ultra Colour Lip Crayons are a great buy. There's something for everyone and it really is value for your money. Try it, you'll love it! :)

I received 'Notice me Nude', 'Risque Rose', and 'Sweetly Pink'. They look very nice, and are nice and easy to use. The first one I tried was the 'notice me nude', which I LOVED!! It went on smoothly and evenly and the colour suited me. However, when I used the other 2 colours, I found the consistency to be completely different. They were somehow grainier, and weren't as smooth as the first colour I tried. Also the colours weren't as well suited to my skin tone. They do work well as a base coat to other colours though, and they are quite nice and moist and don't dry my lips out. Based on what I received I would recommend these to others.

I'm very impressed with Avon Ultra Lip Crayon....although i am not a fan of the Mauve Model colour as i prefer bright bold colours. It doesn't look good on me. Other colours worked just fine. Maybe it is because it matches with my skin colour and it looked weird. But the effectiveness it top quality as it stays waaay longer than other lip stuff. Thank you BB and Avon for letting me use these products

I would definitely recommend it to anyone to go and buy, great value for money.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review the John Frieda Haircare products recently. I received the shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. The bottles a big enough and so are good value for money but still on the pricier side of shampoos. I used the shampoo and conditioner on the first wash - love the shampoo which lathers great and has an indescript smell which was good. The conditioner is more watery in consistency than I would like however it does the job.

My hair was not necessarily smoother or silkier when compared with using my usually Haircare products, but it was quite shiny and less frizzy after a blow dry and straighten.

The mask was used on the second wash and this was a denser consistency, so I felt as though it was more of a moisturizing product. I enjoyed using them and wish the products had a more noticeable smell to them which is what I am usually drawn to in Haircare products. I would use them again and recommend to a friend. As soon as I unpacked the product I absolutely fell in love with this color!! I doubt how much it goes with my completion, but I use it anyway. It is a great way to keep touch ups to as little fuss and effort as possible due to the design of the crayon. I wore the color and loved it however its not an everyday shade.

I also with Avon could bring out the product in matte shade alternatives as this color had a slightly glittery base which I did not care for. Everything else about it is great and it looks as though it will last a long time in that the stick itself doesn't get used up as fast as regular lipstick seems to. I will definitely buy my more neutral shades of this product regularly!

I found the Avon lip crayon difficult to use. When applying its was very hard and had to really press on my lips. I also applies lip balm underneath. It didng last the whole day as i had to keep re applyjng it.

The packaging is very convienient as I did not need to worry about the lid opening. I think a lot more emphasis is required on ensuring that this produc moisturises the lips. Tne colours are also very nice and suitable for my skin tone.

I was always a fan of Avon products, especially the lip product line, as I tend to prefer colourful lips, to shady eyes or anything else. So it didn't take much to convince me that their new line of lip crayons is totally amazing. Avon are one of the most affordable brands out there and they keep re-inventing themselves keeping at the forefront of new trends. These lip crayons come in a slick black tube with a black cap. You twist the colour coded base to expose more of the product so it is like a lipstick with moisturising effects and can even be used as a lip liner. I received a range of 3 crayons and since I am not a fan of extremely bold lips I gently glide these on to provide instant moisture and a sheer tint. I am totally thrilled with the results. I think the colour which also contains a slight shimmer suited my skin tone and makeup style perfectly. Will definitely be going out and grabbing a few more as the price is reasonable given the generous size as well.

Avon have jumped on the Chubby Stick trend with their latest lip release, Ultra Colour Lip Crayons. These crayons pack a powerful colour punch, with high pigmentation and lavish finishes.Was very excited to try these as I have been lusting after Revlon balm stains since they launched.

They're easy to apply thanks to the pointed end, and like Chubby Sticks, they twist up from the base. These crayons are pigmented and deserving of the "ultra colour" name. I found that the scent is amazing having a jelly sweet kind of smell that I can’t get enough of they are not particularly comfortable to wear they feel rather heavy on the lips so I am always aware that it is there. Love the sophisticated black box it comes in which remind me of the bobbi brown packaging. Love that it is a crayon and really reminds me of my nursery school days when I use to colour in. They aren’t that moisturising but I don’t really mind because I just apply a lip balm underneath. It doesn’t really stain my lips and transfers really easily.

Risque Rose

Risque Rose is a really pretty pale pink with a lot of glitter in the finish. The glitter is quite large, making this a very sparkly look, but giving it a very gritty feeling on the lip. This is the most sparkly out of the 3 so I really like it because I like sparkly things and creates a fuller lip.

Reddy For Me
Reddy For Me is one of the nicer textures in the collection - it's a creamy opaque red with a smattering of golden glitter. A very nice red

Notice me nuder
I was really impressed with this one it had the least sparkle but as the name suggests it is a nude shade but usually when I find a nude shade it looks more like the colour of my skin which is definitely not the colour of my lips and just ends up washing up my complexion but avon got the concept of a nude lip spot on I usually apply lipstick on my top lip first and once applied I could not even notice the difference with my bottom lip. A very nice natural nude for a neutral look

If you are looking for long lasting colour, this is definitely for you.

Moist, bright and Shimmer!!!!

Bothe Pros and Cons about this lip crayon. What I like? Firstly it needs to be said that the variety of colors is absolutely beautiful, especially the notice me nude, it just totally does it for me! The shimmer in the formula is gorgeous and it looks amazing on my lips. Lastly, the price is CHEAP! What I don't like? I find the formula to actually dry out my lips, it's left feeling tight and uncomfortable - So I need to apply a lip balm or something under neath in order to make this wearable for me - So I don't find it to be moisturizing at all, quiet the opposite. The shimmer is amazing when on the lips, not so amazing when it on my skin around my mouth - I look a bit like a disco ball in the sun - anyway to effectively remove this problem ladies? The color comes off easily, So I need to constantly re-apply. With all this being said, and given the introductory price of R62.95, i'll def get some more in a few different shades. I really like the lip crayons, so much so that I can overlook the negatives.

Thank you to BB who sent me 3 wonderful shades of these crayons. I am absolutely in love with them. I actually keep a crayon in each of my handbags. I particularly loved the Pouty Plum that I received. That shade is the perfect shade for me. I also received Risque Rose and Mauve Model.

These crayons are simply out of this world. They are adorable and make you feel as if you are a kid again and they work so well, its actually quite scary. I loved to try on all 3 shades, although the Risque rose was a bit too pink for my skintone.

These crayons are basically perfect for the woman on the move all the time and it is the perfect handbag accessory. They come very well packaged in a retractable tube making them uber cute.

These crayons are full of a shimmery high shine color and they make your lips feel smooth because they are enhanced with Vitamin E and Shea Butter. This is what give it the rich and creamy look. Yuo dont even have to use a lipliner for this. Infact, you could use this as a lipliner if you really wanted to.

I was given these Lip Crayons in Mauve Model, Careful Coral and Sheetly Pink.
I didn't particularly like these colours as they are not my regular shades - which are deep reds and maroons and colours close to them. Of the three colours mentioned above - the only suitable colour for me was Mauve Model. It's a fairly wearable colour. The others are just too bright for my liking. The texture is soft and creamy and goes on smoothly. What I didn't like about it though, is the glitter that's been added. I personally don't like glitter in my lipsticks and for this reason I wouldn't purchase it. Maybe teenagers will like the glitter effect. Overall, it's a nice product - but it would be even better WITHOUT the glitter.

Great colour, I just don't like the excess glitter in this one.

I am a huge fan of Avon, especially because you get great value for your money.
My makeup style is very natural I prefer a neutral palette, so I was a bit surprised when I received the 3 bright colours that I did.
The colours are really vibrant and beautiful, but I don't think that these colours particularly suited my skin tone.

The colours are very bright and seem like they would definitely get you noticed. The glitter inside the lip crayon will make you even harder to miss. The colours combined with the glitter was a bit overwhelming for me. I like to try new things, but the pink and the coral was just a bit over the top for my liking.

I would definitely wear the red again though, a little black evening dress needs a great red lipstick to go with.

I really like the idea of comparing a lipstick with a liner, however I don't know if the lip crayon entirely succeeds with this combination. The tip of the crayon is a bit thick and doesn't allow for a smooth fine line. The shape of the crayon is also not the best for gliding on the est of the lip. I enjoy a traditional lipstick shape.

Although I was not ever the moon with this product, there are ladies out there with big bright style and personalities to go with. The colours are lovely and the lipstick does not dry out your lips.

Perfect for a night with the girls, you will definitely get noticed with Avons lip crayon.

I was excited to see that I had to review a lip product because my lips are my favourite facial feature. However, when I tried out the Avon ultra colour lip crayons, i was very unimpressed. The ratio of glitter to actual lip product was just too much. It did not leave a smooth finish. Out of the three colours I tried (reddy for me, carefree coral and risque rose), reddy for me was my favourite colour as it suited my skin tone the best. You can check out the pics I took :)

I felt like a little kid in a candy store when my Avon goodies were presented to me from BB. They literally look like the cool wind up crayons we used to draw interesting art with from when we were in school. They come boxed individually in black packaging and a sleek tube that has the colour on the base and silver writing on them. I received three awesome shades of pink which suited my skin tone perfectly and could be used to glam up any outfit day or night. The names of the colours (Showstopper pink, Mauve Model and Fresh Fuschia) are so attention grabbing just like the vivid colours themselves. These are so easy to use and glide on beautifully for a perfect finish using just one product. Some of these also have sparkly bits to them really accentuating your lips. The size of the tube is a bit deceiving as the product itself is rather small but since a little goes a long way I expect these three tubes to last me well into next year even with daily use.

I received my Avon lipsticks in the colour Sangria, I absolutely love it, Its easy to apply doesn't need a lot of layers, it is moisturizing and really does smell divine, it does not leave you with that cakey look I just love it. My new lippy comes along to even girls night out

This product is supposed to be rich and creamy, but I find that it's quite dry once applied. You need to apply lip balm before applying the lip crayon, or alternatively you could put a coat of clear gloss over it.

I am also not a fan of glitter in lipsticks, and unfortunately these lipsticks all contain glitter/shimmer. They really should state this on the box.

The risque rose works well for lighter skin tones, although it will make you look washed out if you don't apply lip balm or lip gloss on top or underneath.

thank you for chosing me to review a good product. i love the plum colour though im not sold on the shocking pink colour. it makes me look ghostly. i must say it glides on easily but they are also on the dry side i had to apply a bit of clear gloss underneath it. i tried them as an eye colour a wow do they look great.

Avon has jumped along with the lip trend of introducing these lip crayons. They contain Shea butter and Vitamin E giving your lips not only a great shine but keeping it smooth and oh so soft.

The package is a small black box and the crayons are in a thicker black tube which is great to grip. And you twist from the bottom to use.

The lip crayons come in amazing colours to suit everyone. I especially love the Fresh Fuschia.
I love how easy they are to apply, and how they twist up from the bottom. The application is simple almost as you're applying your normal lipstick.

The lip crayon is great and easy to use as a liner first then start filling the lips in. They feel smooth and are rather shimmery and shiny. They will leave your lips to sparkle especially at night. And they last for a couple of hours. I'm not sure about the price it should be under R100.

I do love these crayons.

Reddy for Me is a gorgeous tone of red that knows how to stop a man in his tracks.

I was thrilled to get three of these beauties from the gorgeous ladies at BB :) I love the packaging, which is black with the bottom end being the colour of the product inside. The crayon is retractable, just like the twisty crayons that my kiddies use! Because of the shape of the tip, I don't feel the need for a separate lip-liner, it is mega easy to apply and it is the fastest I have ever applied lipstick. All three shades I got gifted give a shine, so no need for separate gloss either. I also found that because of the creamy formulation, I don't feel the need to treat my lips with extra lip-balm before I apply the product.
Longevity-wise, the "carefree-coral" shade lasted the longest, even after eating and drinking. "Not me nude" had the shortest longevity, but is now my absolute go to shade for a quick, natural everyday look.
"not me nude" is a natural nude colour, which just finishes off a day-time look and I am addicted to it.
"carefree coral" looks really bright in the packaging and I was slightly put off by that, but on the lips it looks stunning and has a hint of sparkle.
"sweetly pink" is a pale pink that also has a touch of sparkle and looks great if you want to play up your eyes, but still want some colour on your lips.
A huge thumbs up to Avon for this lip colour that I don't think my handbag will ever be without!

I usually don't do reds but this lip crayon won over my heart.It is a very sassy and pretty colour that lasts long(which you need when it comes to red).

Great product AVON!

I've experimented quite a bit with three of the colours this morning. Notice Me Nude, Risqué Rose and Showstopper Pink (and boy is it a showstopper). Apart from the brilliant names, they are very easy to apply, long-lasting, moisturising and have a pretty little sparkle to them which compliments the 24k Avon eye shadows nicely.

They have a pleasant, light smell similar to the chapsticks made some years ago and I truly love the crayon tipped shape which makes it glide on effortlessly.

They will be in the new Avon brochure which I'm highly excited about as they will be half the normal price. I already have my eye on the red one (Reddy for me). I generally prefer the nude colours, but once in a while it's fun to be daring.

Lipstick is a must for me daily even when doing errands, so I was thrilled to be chosen as part of the Avon sample group.

I have seen a great deal of Avon advertised and never tried the products before, so this was also a good opportunity.

I received the colours: Notice me Nude, Risque Rose and Sweetly Pink and would say that out of the three the best for me was Risque Rose.The other colours were too light and girlish for me.

The lip crayon is a novel take on lip colour and the packaging was attractive as well as the crayon itself - it had a sheen to it.

Once applying the crayon it had a soft and almost coconut scent I would say which was refreshing.

Sadly I didnt enjoy the actual product once applied.

It felt more like a lip ice and I much prefer the smooth and slippery feel of lipstick to this. I couldn't say that the product lasted longer or was special in other way to my conventional lipstick brand.

I received an Avon Product Catalogue with the lip crayons and noticed they do sell lipsticks. I'm confused as to where this product fits in and what its purpose is? I would stick with my usual lipstick and not bother with a crayon.

To me this was more childs play sadly than grown up and sophisticated beauty. I suspect users in a younger age category ( 18-25 years ) might find this product more appealling.

Firstly, thanks to BB & Avon for allowing me the opportunity to review these products :)

I received 3 lip crayons to review, Showstopper Pink, Carefree Coral and Notice Me Nude. The first thing you notice when opening up these crayons is that they have a lovely sheen to them with small glittery particles (particularly in the Coral). The smell is subtle and once on your lips you will barely notice it. Also, no taste which is fantastic!

The Showstopper Pink, when looking at it directly looks a lot like a hot pink but once on your lips it does tone down and yes, it is a little pink, but what do you expect when you see the name of it?

The Carefree Coral was probably my least favourite out of the 3, not because of the product at all but because of the colour - I have never really been a fan of Coral as a colour and once its on my lips looks a little too orangey for me.

The Notice Me Nude is by far my favourite. Its the type of colour that you can wear during the day, its subtle enough for work and at the same time can be worn out at night too due to the lovely sheen it leaves on your lips.

From my understanding and stalking of these crayons on the interwebs, they will retail anywhere between R75.00 and R90.00 (and I do stand to be corrected on the price), which is a fair price for the product you will be getting.

Its a non sticky formula, the colour variety is great, I believe that overall there will definitely be a colour for every skin variation and the stain will leave your lips with enough colour for at least 2 - 3 hours before you have to re-apply.

Overall - I would definitely purchase these products when I run out - especially the Notice Me Nude.
