John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi lovelies!
It has now been about three weeks since I have started using the shampoo and conditioner set and I am in love. My hair is definitely brighter and now has honeyed golden tones which I have never experienced before. My hair feels a lot softer and silkier when I run my fingers through it. Due to it being really humid in Durban I find that my hair doesn't frizz or get as static as it usually does with the shampoo and conditioner combo. My hair is healthier looking and has been tamed!

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with brunette hair as it brings out the best in your hair for sure. Its a product that is worthy of the price it holds and is definitely great quality. Once my supply is finished I definitely am going to repurchase and try out the rest of the brunette range as now I'm converted to a John Frieda Brilliant Brunette fan!

I am a natural Brunnet with some fading blonde and copper highlights in my hair. I absolutely love the scent of the products. Its this honey and floral scent which is so yummy. I love a sun kissed look and am hoping for just that. After my first use of the products I have concluded that this is truely liquid gold. Not just in the look of the product but also the results. My golden hairs shined brighter and my hair became unbelievably soft. It looks gorgeous. Can't wait to see after my next use.

The shampoo and conditioner are amazing. They really helping me achieve the summer ready look I am after. Even tough there is no beach in Nelspruit, this bundles of heaven is making my hait shine. Makes my hair so soft, bouncy and shiny. My hair is less frizzy too. Can't wait to do my last hair review vid. In love.

Firstly, the smell of these products are absolutely AMAZING! I am a natural brunette and very eager to see results of the shampoo and conditioner of this range. I love the consistency of it and the shampoo literally looks like liquid gold! It does leave your hands a bit stained after use, but washes off after use. I have already washed my hair twice and I am impressed with how soft, shiny and full of life my hair looks!

Right so its mid-trial and i couldnt be more impressed with these products! My hair is glowing! Super soft and super sleek. There is definitely a change in the colour of my hair which is most noticeable in the sun. These products are GOLD!

I used this product on my best friend as I have blonde highlights. She was quite happy with the results.

Her hair felt more smooth and soft without the oiliness.
You could see the bronze bits in her looked like fresh highlights.
Her hair was soft, easy to comb without tangles.
She is extremely happy with the product her hair looks fresh and brighter and she is looking forward to her next purchase.
This product is good value for money.
After 3 washes you could start seeing the results.

Over the past week I’ve been using a fabulous new shampoo and conditioner from John Frieda’s new product, the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Shampoo & Conditioner (250ml). If you’d like to hear more about my experience, here is my review:

The ends of my hair usually suffer from being very dry and brittle, since using this shampoo and conditioner there has been an over al change in the general feel of my hair. It feels much softer, its still slightly dry but definitely not as dry as before applying the product.

The product I received works towards lightening your hair colour. Since using it have I have noticed a big difference in the colour of my hair. Its only really noticeable in the sunlight or in person. From root to tip it seems to have lightened my entire head by a shade. Its not harsh at all nor is it too obvious. It looks very natural. That being said, , my hair is multiple different colours from dye etc etc and it still managed to lighten through it all which is pretty impressive!

I have extremely unpredictable and unruly hair. One day it would be frizzy, puffy and wavy and the next its straight and sleek. There is literally no in-between! Since using this product I haven’t found it to help with manageability at all. I’ve found this with almost any product I use in my hair so its no surprise. If anything, the fact that it makes my hair softer makes it more difficult to keep up in a ponytail without it falling out (my hair is very fine).

I’ve been using this product for over a week and I’ve washed my hair every second night, about 3 - 4 washes.

It’s not too different to what my hair usually looks like. For me, the effect is more notable on how my hair feels versus how my hair looks.

I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to gradually lighten their hair but keeping it very natal. The overall smell makes you feel like you just stepped out of a salon. The affect it has had on my hair in such a short duration of time is great and I’m sure after longer use it would be even better!

I am definitely going to purchase this product again, I’ve become attached! Those gradual lightened locks will be great for the summer season coming up. Its such an effortless way to keep your hair looking amazing this December.

With each product costing R110 each, I think it is great value for money! Your hair is constantly going through a change without having to keep on paying to go to the salon. Especially if you have very long hair, like mine, its a much cheaper route to take for a little change!

I'm Jet'aime from UntamedMuseBlog and #meandjohnfrieda have had quite the interesting journey this past week thanks to @beauty_bulletin.

Upon arriving home Monday afternoon, I noticed my package had finally arrived. Naturally, I ripped it open to what was the most pleasant smell I had smelt in a while. Since I had already washed my hair that day I decided to try it first thing in the morning.

The next morning I examined the product before putting it to use. The texture is a runny consistency, and the colour is kind of gold-green (which i found quite interesting). The smell IS AMAZING, I would say it smells like perfume. I normally use sulfate-free shampoo which does not have much of a smell so this was a nice change.

After the first wash on Tuesday I could already notice a difference in my hair. I had my hair ombre'd two months ago and have not been maintaining it, so this product really brought my hair back to life! I always brush my hair before I wash it so I had no problems in combing it after the wash, it wasn't full of tangles or stringy. My hair was left feeling soft and smelling lovely.

I washed my hair about 2 more times after Tuesday and I have noticed that some of my golden tones have lightened to the point that it looks blonde, and I love it as I wanted to lighten my hair after having it done. I am very impressed by this since this product is both peroxide and ammonia free.

The Shampoo and Conditioner retail for R110.00 each which is not bad for a product which does the job of cleaning and lightening. If you are looking for a product to gradually lighten your hair without having to pay a small fortune at salons, i would definitely suggest trying this product first for a natural golden look.

I was super excited when I was notified that I was chosen to review this amazing product, I received the NEW John Frieda Visibly Brighter Shampoo and Conditioner, thank a stack @beauty_bulletin. I have color treated hair which is mahogany and I am rather impressed with how my color came through when I used this product. My hair is managable, soft, shiny and smells amazing. The 250ml tubes retail for R110ea, a bit out of my price range, but if I could afford it, I would definately repurchase. I did not even have to apply hair oil before styling as I normally do, I love this product!

As soon as my package arrived on Monday morning I tore it open and put these amazing products to the test! I used the shampoo and conditioner a total of four times since, and my hair already looked instantly brighter after the FIRST wash. Impressive right?

I found that one of the cons were; even though my hair looked great the texture was a bit more rough and scratchy and my hair was much more difficult to manage, I had way more knots then usual - however that was instantly fixed after the second and third wash. I opted to leave in the shampoo and conditioner both, longer then usual so that the product can deeply seep into my hair, and problem solved - my hair felt softer and smoother after the 1st try of doing this!

My hair does look much more livelier compared to my usual look which is definitely a pro! Also it smells so good.

I love the immediate results that these products provided, and this is definitely something I would purchase again. If your hair is looking dull or in need of some life support - this is what you need to get that OOMPH and I would highly recommend it to anyone as the results speak for themselves .

The 250ml tubes retail for R110ea - this may seem a bit pricey however it's completely worth it! If you don't want to splurge on the exorbitant hair salon fees, but still want to get that lighter summer hair you've been longing for then this is for you!

Hi fellow Beauties.
I was one of the 50 lucky ladies to be chosen by BB to review this great product called John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner.
When I recieved the parcel I will say I was super excited because the fragrance that was emanating from the parcel was beautiful! It smelt like a Queen had entered the room with a million rand perfume on her hehe.
As soon as I got home I hopped into the shower and used the Brilliant Brunette on my hair.
The next day my hair was quite flat and lifeless but I think I might have used too much and kinda drowned my hair.
2 days later I used it again and my hair definitely looked alot better. My hair was soft and lighter and was a bit more bouncier. My hair did start frizzing a bit later in the day.
2 days after that I washed my hair again and there was more difference than in the second Wash.
Then I washed my hair yesterday again. My hair defo looks healthier and feels great. It's still frizzes a bit later in the day.
All in all this is definitely a great product. It does what it says it will do on the bottle. My hair doesn't seem to have changed in color at all but sure it will the longer I use it. I have very long thick hair and it's definitely a bit pricey for me as the bottles won't even last me a month. If the bottles were bigger and the price a bit lower I would definitely consider using it again.
I'll give this product a clean 7 out of 10.

My hair looks and feels visibly softer, and has extra body and bounce, overall appearing healthier and seems less frizzy.
My hair is easier to manage, and I have noticed my hair having less tangles. I have used the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter shampoo & conditioner since last week (3 times) and have fallen in love with the John Frieda range again. The first time I came across the John Frieda range was during my stay in Scotland about 12 years ago. I used to love the Frizz Ease, as the weather there is wet, with your hair ending up looking rather frizzy. On my return I came back with the Frizz ease range, sparingly using it as you could not get it in South Africa at the time.
I will definitely recommend this range of products and the range is definitely value for money. A must try fellow beauties.

I was curious to see which John Frieda range I'd been chosen to review as was excited to see it was the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter shampoo and conditioner.

Having been a dark brunette to red head, and then red to blonde, and finally blonde to the light brown ombré I'm currently sporting, my hair has been through the ringer. It was really long until just before this review and is quite thick. I need products to give my hair that vibrancy it so desperately needs.

At face value, it looks like the quality-seeming John Frieda products you see on the shelf but are hesitant to spend so much money on. It comes in 250 ml bottles in the shampoo and conditioner and rests with the lid facing downward. Make sure you close the lid properly or it will leak.

The shampoo's viscosity is low so it's quite runny. It's a golden toned shampoo, it even looks slightly green on your hands. It's ammonia and peroxide free but colour deposits like crazy. When rinsing my hair the water was as yellow as the Marigold and honey apparently in the product. I shampood and combed my hair twice. The shampoo experience is pleasant since the shampoo smells delicious and also my hair did not feel as weak as it normally does during a shampoo.

The shampoo does lightly tint your skin but don't panic, it's be gone by the time you rinse the conditioner.

The conditioner also smells dessert like and the texture is quite creamy. It's also tinted but not at all like the shampoo. It doesn't seem as if the conditioner does much colour depositing so make sure you get the shampoo if that's your main aim. BUT, the conditioner made my hair feel so soft and touchable that you should get both. I immediately felt the difference in the texture of my hair and how smooth it felt. I combed through the conditioner as well and then rinsed.

After towel drying my hair I could already feel how much more manageable, smoother and healthier my hair felt and looked.

After blow drying I could still feel the softness of my hair (which has before felt quite crunchy).

I've used these products 3 times now, styling my hair differently each time. I blow dried and flat ironed it the first time to see, left it to dry naturally the second time and curled it with a tong the third time.

After the first time I could already see how it livened up my highlights and gave my hair a golden glow. When I left it to dry naturally the colour changes couldn't bee seen as easily but my hair definitely looked healthier and in a much better condition. The curls really showed just how much brighter my hair had become.

I'd definitely recommend using this product if you have blonde highlights or light to medium brown hair. Apart from the very, very subtle glow on my dairk hair, I didn't see much of a difference. If you've got very dark hair it will probably give it a golden glow and help whatever lighter hair you have, tone in with it's golden bits.

Darker hair often tends to look healthier than lighter hair, but these products really add a bright and lively look to brown hair. Even at the prices it's sold, it's well worth it and will be the ideal hair companion in summer when your hair tends to lighten anyway. Treat your tresses to the experience of the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter make over.

I've been looking for a shampoo that could specifically cater to my hair colour needs for quite a while. I was a bit skeptical though because I did not know if colour specific shampoos were a waste of money which is why I was so ecstatic when I found out that I would be sent this shampoo.

The first thing I noticed about this product was that it looked like liquid gold. It smelled amazing and I could not wait to actually apply this onto my hair.

The scientist in me decided that I would not let any other product touch my hair other than this shampoo and conditioner. The first time I washed my hair, I was quite surprised by how soft my hair felt. I decided to leave it to air dry and my ends,which are always brittle, felt softer and my hair seemed to have less knots. When I washed my hair the next day, I marvelled at how soft and sleek it looked. I have curly hair and my hair always looked dry and frizzy when I let it air dry but this was no problem for me after I washed it. I also noticed how little product I used because I have very long hair and I tend to breeze through shampoo and conditioner but it seemed that I was using less with every wash.
My third and final wash finally saw me styling my hair. I was very impressed because it took way faster to dry my hair. Also my hair looked so sleek and straight that I struggled to decide if I even needed to straighten it. I loved how soft and silky my hair felt and spent hours just touching my hair.

I used this shampoo three times and after the third time, I could definitely see a difference in colour. My hair was more manageable as it was softer and shinier and I had less tangles so I could easily brush through it. My hair was shiny and glowy and it felt really silky. It definitely looks healthier than it did before I washed it with the shampoo. I would definitely purchase this shampoo again. I don't think I'd ever go without it to be honest. I think I've found a holy grail item. The shampoo is definitely value for money as it has the girl they used to call rapunzel
using as little product as possible!

Over all this is a win!

I received my John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Shampoo and Conditioner to review. I was curious to see how it would work with my hair being, what I feel, more blonde and balayage than it is brunette.

My hair is pretty long and fine. I need volume! I am so picky with what products I use on my hair and hate having it weighed down with too much product but also not so keen on it being dry and frizzy. Hmmmmm... I have tried so many products! Because I have old highlights on my ends my hair does feel quite dry and brittle. After using this John Frieda product even just once my hair felt softer. For real :D

Ok so lets start at the beginning... The look of the bottles, the packaging - it's cool. I am proud having it in my bathroom. The main thing I noticed was the colour and creamy velvet like consistency of the shampoo. Its like gold lava! Its very cool. See the pic I have added. I was nervous when I saw how it coloured my hands, like dye, but it rinsed of my hands very quickly. I did wonder what it would do to my hair?

Then using the shampoo it felt fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. I shampooed twice and then moved onto the conditioner. The conditioner has more a cream consistency, the usual with a slight gold tinge to it. It did feel great instantly. My hair went super smooth and soft and was really easy to comb through. I would actually use less product next time as a little goes a very long way here. The real test was going to be what my hair felt like and looked like once dry. I was concerned that the conditioner was going to leave my hair heavy and lifeless but it didn't! I leave my hair to dry naturally as often as I can which is what I did this time and I was impressed. My hair was shiny and not frizzy. Felt great to the touch. I'm really liking this product :)

So far I would recommend these products to others. I'd also love to try the John Frieda sheer Blonde and with this positive experience will definitely be giving it a try! I will purchase this shampoo and conditioner again and feel that its good value for money.

See my before and after pics where I can totally see a difference in shine for sure and even the frizz!! I do feel that it has highlighted the golden tones in my hair. The top pics are before and the bottom after even just one wash!! Both times I left my hair to dry naturally.

Last night I received a set of John Friedas "Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter" Shampoo and Conditioner. Having ombre hair means this is a perfect fit as it lightens the gold tones and emphasizes the brunette tones in my two toned hair :)

My hair has a very fine texture and, from all the coloring, has become brittle and damaged. This is why I tend to take a great deal of effort in caring for my hair and trying to bring it back to life! I am very excited to see the results of using this product over the next week!
