The cream is extremely thick and rich and gives your skin a lovely, glossy sheen that - at least on me - seems to last all day. It also smells sooo fresh I LOVE IT. It's a particularly welcome effect given that summer's arrival means neglected heels, shins and decolletage must suddenly come out of hibernation.
When I first opened my tub of body butter the scent that came from it was overwhelmingly beautiful. Being one of the first people in the country to try this product, I found myself really lucky as it has a beautiful scent and has the goodness of honey in it too. Compared to the other body butters from The Body Shop, this one is not as hard and is runnier so less is needed when applying.

The body butter comes in a medium size honey coloured tub. It is easy to open just turn the lid and you can see how rich in moisture this body butter is. It is great to use immediately after a shower or bath to lock in moisture. The body butter provides all day hydration and will leave a scent that will linger on for hours. What's amazing is how rich in moisture it is, I could feel once I applied it onto the skin how smooth and soft my skin felt. Another great thing is it does not leave you feeling sticky at all. I was not particularly crazy over the scent which was a mixture of sweet and floral notes, not really a honey fan, but the all day hydration makes up for that.
I enjoyed using this body butter and I would say those who have dry skin should definitely use this. It great to soften those elbows some women complain about not to mention softening the feet as well. And I would suggest not to wear a strong perfume when using this body butter as it is very fragrant.
The body butter is so luxurious can you imagine the rest of the collection!
I received this product yesterday and honestly am so amazed by it, the texture is incredibly smooth and the smell is amazing I cannot get enough of the smell. I was hesitant about the smell lasting, but it does, which is just too great.my skin was still soft and smelt amazing this morning after applying it before I went to bed last night. I am seriously very please with this product and definitely will be buying a next tub when this is finished
I received my body butter yesterday. The first thing that got me hooked on it was the smell. I was in heaven when I opened the tub and was greeted with a wiff of honey. The body butter also left my skin feeling and smelling great for 24h after applying. The tub is also a nice size with more than enough body butter in to share with my mother.
This is definitely a must buy for anyone. I want to go to the shop and buy the whole range. I especially like that there body wash contains no soap cause im allergic to soap. Thus this range is everything I want and need to smell great and have a nice smooth skin.
The first thing you notice about this body butter is the rich floral scent. The body butter absorbs into your skin immediately and leaving your body moisturized and smelling good.
I absolutist love the scent and the fact that i don't look greasy after applying it.
I have always been a massive Body Butter fan. I usually go with the coconut flavoured one as I don;t like anything too sweet. I was a bit apprehensive when I got this, as I thought it would smell a bit too sweet but I absolutely love the smell. It's a great consistency, and (as always) the Body Butter feels so soothing and lovely on your skin. I'll definitely be sticking to the Honey range from now on!
So I was chosen to Review this Honeymania Body Butter by Beauty Bulletin. I started using it on Thursday. It smells amazing it really does, even my Boyfriend was impressed with the sweet smell of well, Honey! I used it on my face as well as my body. Yesterday I noticed my lips were starting to swell a bit. My eyes where itchy and my cheeks felt puffy! Today I woke up and it was just bad lol. I have sores on my lips and everything is poofy. So this is definitely not a product for me and I didnt even know I was allergic to anything! It still smells very good.
Heaven!! I finally got the opportunity to try out the new HoneyMania range from The Body Shop and I'm currently using the body butter.
It has to be my top product as it is the best I've ever used by far. I use it every morning and afternoon after my baths and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and smelling good throughout. It is not even sticky or too oily. Perfect just for the body, I don't use it on my hands as I have sweaty hands and not on the face either. So luxurious I don't need to go to the spa anymore. After reading about the Honeymania range from The Body Shop, I had to try out one of their products. Classified as the hero product, the Body Butter had to be my first choice.
The smell alone even after just popping the lid open of this tub of luxury is amazing. It’s really sweet, but not a nauseating sweet.
The actual body butter is rich and hydrating, but doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy or uncomfortable. Once it’s applied, your skin is left soft and smooth with a light, fresh scent that lasts all day.
The best quality about this body butter, from my point of view, is that you don’t need to slather yourself in it. You only need a minimal amount, so I would say this product is definitely worth the price.
I haven’t tried the other products from the Honeymania range, but I can see why the Body Butter is the hero product. It lives up to its name and I would recommend it to anyone that’s looking for a great product to kick up the moisture in their skin.
This luxurious Body Butter has a rich, floral scent which I find very appealing. However, as it says on the packaging, I would not use it on my face. It is also a little too strong to use as a hand cream. Best for after shower body use. Each pot contains Community Fair Trade honey made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers which makes me feel like I am helping someone or something, somewhere, which, in turn, makes me happy. It really has a lasting moisturising effect on skin and the fragrance lasts. It offers 24-hour hydration leaving skin that much softer and smoother. The rich buttery texture makes for easy application and no sticky residue (thank gourd!).
I have a feeling this would make for an awesome gift for the girls!
I’ve been using the body butter from the collection for two weeks now and I love it! At first when I opened the tub, I was a bit confused by the scent. I guess I was expecting something sweeter and more, well, honey-ish. (Maybe that’s also because I’m used to eating fynbos honey which has a very strong scent?) In any case, this body butter has a soft, pretty floral scent with only a touch of sweetness, which makes it very wearable. The Body Shop describes the scent as “delicate, but indulgent, floral fragrance with enchanting notes of floral honey blossom and sweet honey”. With the addition of honey, this body butter aims for intense moisturization for very dry skin – claiming to provide 24 hours of hydration.
Now, my skin is being unusually dry this winter, so that sounded like just the product for me! The first time I tried this body butter, I actually skipped body lotion or body butter for the previous two day, so when I got out of the shower that morning, with freshly shaved legs, my skin was in desperate need for some intense hydration! (Nothing quite like really putting a product to the test!) I applied a healthy blob of the butter (it’s nice and thick, like a body butter should be!) and rubbed in into my poor, dry skin. It absorbed super quickly and – to my joy – left my skin beautifully soft and hydrated! Hooray! Even better, my skin stayed moisturized all day so I didn’t have to apply anything else that evening!
So, if you have normal to oily skin – I would avoid this body butter as it will probably be too heavy and rich for your skin. However, if you have skin that needs some extra hydration help, this might be the product for you. Definitely give it a smell the next time you go to The Body Shop!
I was sent the Honeymania Body Butter 2 weeks ago, and have been hooked ever since! I'm usually not a huge fan of Body Shop body butters. I find them too rich and strong-smelling for everyday wear. However Honeymania seems to be a different formula...unlike the others where the butter solidifies between uses, this one stays creamy. It has a beautiful texture that sinks right into the skin, and the fragrance stays on all day. If Body Shop decide to bottle this scent, I'll be first in line to buy it! I love the sweet honey blossom scent, it smells edible. I purchased the whole Honeymania range after using this product, that's how much I love it!
I'm in love with this product. Even though the price is a bit too high for me, I'm still a student, it is worth it. The butter promises to leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised for 24hours and it does exactly that. This is a graet product for people who have dry skin and the smell is addictive.
I thought it didn't really smell like honey more of a floral scent, I personally wouldn't choose this scent again in a body butter but I would love to try the bath products.
So, i decided to get one of these just to try after reading all the hot and happening reviews. I love the packaging and bright yellow and gold colours, its very beautiful and ey cathcing too.Honeymania is a floral with a honey note with with a fruity nuance and in a lesser extent, gourmand. The honey is supported by a touch of vanilla and coconut, I am nuts over the aroma which smells intoxicating and is so rich, Despite all of the above, i didnt find it to be quite 100% moistursing as I would have liked it to be. I use it mostly for my hands, heels and elbows. On my hands, which becomes especially dry after washing it so many times, it has some form of moisturising effect but then I have to re-apply again after a few hours.The product is a little bit expensive so I am very careful to use only small quantities at any one time cos I want it to last until I can buy another one.
Apart from everything else, we all know how good honey is for our skins and this little number makes a beautiful addition to my bathroom cabinet. I am in love and totally smitten. Gonna buy one for each of my sisters and mom as this also makes adorable gifts!
The name of the product is already a start of what is to follow. Sounds luscious and delectable. The bright yellow packaging is reminiscent of the season we are in. Excitement of what is to follow even before opening the tub. The divine smell is inviting. The sweetness of honey and light buttery texture makes the application blissful. My skin was left feeling soft and smooth and with a beautiful glow. The delightful smell made me feel like I'm inthe midst of a perfect Spring even though our current weather conditions might beg to differ. I'm genuinely excited about the long term benefits of using the honeymania body butter. I am definitely going to be adding on a few more products from the range
They are rather pricey, retailing for about R130 if I'm not mistaken, but definitely worth it. It's a great gift as well, along with some other products in the Honeymania range. I highly recommend this, especially if you're someone who forgets to apply moisturizer on the daily ;)
I am a huge fan of the body shop body butters, and love the moisturising effects! The scents are amazing too. But this scent disappoints me, that is my problem with this product.
I was very excited to be contacted to review this product as I had seen some of my favourite beauty gurus adding it to their collection, overseas. Enthusiastically I ripped the packaging open to get my first impression of this new range… BOOM! The scent was a full blown powerful knock. I was put a little off, as I wasn’t too keen to walk around smelling like a fresh pot of honey, living on a farm, I found that this could be a recipe for disaster. But after applying it to my skin, I couldn’t stop sniffing myself, taking in the new scent that was less honey and more like a sweet floral scent. It is everything that defines the current season! It is refreshing, light on the skin but fruity. I absolutely love the texture of this body butter, you never have to use too much, because it applies so well and spreads evenly to the skin. The timing of this launch is impeccable as most of us are trying desperately to save our skin from the harshness of winter. Do not fret, this is your go to product for luscious skin, full of moisture and glowing for the perfect spring day! The scent is long lasting, but not overbearing – it is just enough to remind you, oh wow… I smell good, look good and feel good. It can be applied every day, even if you prefer your own perfume as it is complimentary to any other smells too. I find this smell to be very girly, young and flirty. I am absolutely in love with this range, and can’t wait to complete my collection. This is not something that I would have picked up in the store and said, let’s buy this simply because I don’t like honey… but after this review – it is definitely my go to product!

The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter looks delicious, smells delicious and feels delicious. it is the ultimate luxurious body butter available. i was happy with it from the moment i saw the thick butter and got a sniff of the amazing scent. The scent is hard to describe, mainly because of how unique it is.
I applied a small amount onto my hands, and it immediately got absorbed, but my skin did not feel moisturised, so i applied a bit more. my skin felt smooth, soft and moisturised.
The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter is perfect for a pre-bed time routine with all its relaxing and lovely scent and luxurious texture.
Upon receiving my Body Butter I proceeded to apply it on my hands and arms and concentrated on the elbows as winter had taken it's toll on my skin.
General feel: You can feel this is a Butter textured product, nice and thick in consistency. You only need to apply a little bit to cover quite a big area. What I also noticed is that your skin has somewhat of a glow to your skin as an added bonus
Effectiveness: The package indicated 24Hrs - I do agree, my skin felt hydrated the entire day, even after I had my bath the evening I could still feel soft, luxurious skin. Smell: Loved the smell and what's nice is that it lingers. You can definitely smell a hint of honey but also some sort of floral mixed to the fragrance.
Absorption: I have found with other body butters that it takes some time to get absorbed into your skin and then still remains somewhat oily afterwards. I did not experience this with the Honeymania Body Butter at all, nut I also have to state that I have used other Body Shop body butters before and never had this problem.
Packaging: Packaging is a big round yellow pot and cant help to think of the Honey pot Winnie the Pooh always seem to carry with him! LOL
Overall, LOVE the product. Bought a pot for my Brother in law who really struggles with what we call Crocodile skin - he loved the feel of the product but not so much the smell. Said it is to overpoweringly floral for a man and if the smell evaporated quicker he would continue using the product. LOL - I see him most days and can definitely smell he did indeed continue with the Honeymania Body Butter I gave him.........................
There was so much hype surrounding the Honeymania collection and the anticipation of honey laden products definitely piqued my interest as well. The body butter is said to be the star of the collection and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Much like other Body Shop body butters the cream is luxurious and rich.
The body butter comes packaged in The Body Shops signature tub and once opened you are hit with the floral honey scent that is special to the range. I must admit I was hoping for a slightly sweeter more honeyed scent because I love the scent of raw honey so much. The floral scent will be welcomed for those who prefer a subtle scent and don’t like their body cream to be overly sweet smelling. After using this butter for a while now I have grown fond of the flowery scent and can definitely pick up the honey at the end as the scent fades off.
The body butter although thick and heavy looking just glides on and is absorbed quickly without leaving any stickiness or residue behind. This is a relief in the Durban heat. I tend to stick to thinner lotion types because of the humidity and sticky discomfort that ensues from user thicker creams. However I could easily use this butter in summer (as I have been doing, it’s already quite hot here) because the formula absorbs so well. The cream is extremely nourishing and the scent does linger on your skin throughout the day.
After using the Honeymania body butter I am even keener to give the rest of the range a try especially the shower gel. Overall this is a wonderful product and I am very impressed with the quality of it.
After trying the body butter i went to the Body Shop and purchased 2 containers. It is my new addiction i truly thank BB for introducing me to such a wonderful product
I used the Honeymania Body Butter for approximately a month and it basically changed my life. My skin felt beautiful, soft and supple. It smelt wonderful and the scent lasted all day, it even stayed on the clothes I was wearing. The fact that it had real honey from Tanzania sold the Honeymania concept well. The beauty benefits of honey were more believable in the form of the body butter for me. The texture of the lotion/body butter was luxurious and it left my skin feeling silky ,soft and it provided all day moisture. The packaging is the usual Body Shop Body Butter tub in a jolly yellow colour.
It is however quite pricey at R140, but if you can afford it, it's a good quality product; you will get what you pay for. This product has my stamp of approval!
This lotion has been literally a dream come true for me.
I suffer with extremely dry patches on my hands especially in winter and nothing seems to help. It looks so dry, it actually looks wrinkly. From the moment I put this lotion on my skin absorbed it easily and the entire look of my skin changed to smooth and soft.

I started using it all over my body after noticing how good it was in relieving the dry patches on my hands. It hydrates your skin for 24 hours, no doubt.
The best things is its such a light lotion but yet hydrates like a body butter.

When I opened my jar, The scent that hit me full on in the face was to die for (to say the least!). It has a rich, heavy and sweet floral like scent. It may be strong, but it is the most wonderful aroma ever. The body butter has a thick, creamy texture, and once applied, just melts into my skin.
I have pretty average skin - I'm lucky in the sense that my skin is not sensitive, and the only thing that makes me swell like a melon is Papaya (so i steer clear of anything with this ingredient in it). This being said, it is really dry, so that is why I love Body Butters from TBS as it always leaves my skin amazing!
I received my Honeymania Body Butter last Thursday, and since then have fell into a happy self pampering routine of applying the body butter after I have had a hot shower or bath as this allows for maximum absorption. My skin is left velvety and soft to the touch. It looks glowingly healthy and is highly moisturized. My over all skin condition has improved drastically as it is no longer dry, and it seems to retain moisture for longer. I apply a bit more in the mornings after my shower and my skin is in tip top condition for the rest of the day.
The scent lingers on my skin long after application and I find that it permeates my clothing or any other fabric i come into contact with (my bedding smells good enough to eat lol) I LOVE THAT IT DOES THIS!! So one word of caution, If you do not like the scent, then this product is not for you.
Side note: Yesterday I popped into The Body Shop at Canal Walk and have since purchased another Honeymania Body Butter along with the shower gel (Will do a separate review for this) They currently have half price sale on all of their Body Butters including the Honeymania variant, so if you are quick you can pick it up for only R70!!! Their shower gels are usually R90, but if you buy 2 u pay half price for your second one, (yaaay) so I purchased Honeymania and the peach vineyard variation (as well as the body butter) as I find if you layer the scents, it becomes more intense.
Over all, an amazing, wholesome and good quality Body butter from The Body Shop. I would definitely recommend to everyone as this is now officially a firm favorite!
