Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad

I have the urban skyline quad which has a white ;soft grey;slate grey and black shadow all in matte powders.
I truthfully bought this only cos i wanted a black shade but was honestly surprised that i could create a day to night look with this one with minimal fuss.
The longevity of the shadows too surprised me .......they last the whole day.
I have my eye on two more quads.
Well worth it

i have been hooked on AVON for almost 10 years now (Omg, that makes me sound old lol) love the eye shadow quads, the colors are so vivacious and best part they last all day!!! love the way they apply so easily, you don't have to like apply 6 coats to get the color right, the ranges are so perfect for all your moods and suits almost every outfit, the colors available have a certain sophistication, class and elegance about them, the set of Quads i am hooked on and loved was the 24k Gold collection, i used that on my wedding day, i love it!! Love the fact that Avon shadows don't crease and they don't smudge! Avon make up and eye shadows especially my number 1 on my list!

i got two sets of these and they are really amazing,they are numbered which makes it easier to apply.it blends easily and it is pigmented, it stays on your eye and doesnt fall of to your cheeks. really happy with the results and it also lasts longer

So I purchased this product ages ago and at the end of the day abandoned use. Here is why:
1) This is a wettish kind of eye shadow that really feels strange on your eyes when you apply it. Do not like the kind of sticky feel at all.
2) Once again the colour I think I ordered and the colour I actually got were 2 different shades. Really annoying.
3) Even on special at R69.95, this product is way overpriced in comparison with other eye shadows of higher quality. Rather give me Essence at R19.95.
4) Being a wet eye shadow, one would think it should last longer. Mine began streaking after 2 hours and not in a nice way. I looked like a toddler got hold of my face and drew on me ;-).

FINAL VERDICT: Do not waste your money on this one! Go to the Essence counter and buy 5 eye shadows that last and is of high quality for the very disappointing normal price of one of these Avon eye shadows at R99.95.

This is my favourite eyeshadow from Avon, it is perfect for a day time look or a night time look because the colours are neutral so if you like a nude look, this is the eyeshadow set for you. The eyeshadows range from a light and dark matte shadow as well as a shimmer frosted eyeshadow. The eyeshadows are labelled so applying it is absolutely foolproof. It is a must have for any eyeshadow lover.

Avon's New True Colour Eyeshadow quads will give you those perfect eyes you have always wanted. What is so great is that the quads are numbered as 1,2,3,4 and the steps are given on the box on how to apply it. For me I'm just loving it because my hand seems to get unsteady at the wrong times but this allows me to have FABULOUS eyes. I mean who would want that!

This product is not new it's just NEW Technology that brings:
- richer colour
- different shades to suit various skin tones
- they are numbered for easy application

The rich colour you see is what I got on my eyes, purple is now a colour I can use. The eyeshadow is crease proof and the colours Avon's range has to offer will suit every skin tone. And not to worry each quad is numbered or if you like you can always mix them up.

I have recently bought the "Avon Extra Lasting Eyeshadow".

It is a kind of liquid eyeshadow. It comes in a cute, small red packaging, it looks like a lipstick. It is very affordable (as with most Avon products). It is very easy to apply and gives you a long lasting metallic look.

I would personally buy this compact, the colours were stunning and you can choose just how dramatic or subtle a look you want..

I totally love this product!! since a started using it few months ago I don't buy any other shampoo. My hair feels soft and looks beautyfull I can recommend this product to anybody.

I hardly ever use eye shadow, let alone blue. Well im totally converted and not colour scared anymore. Ive just played with the colour tonight and I love it. I love avon products and im definitely buying myself more different colours. Look at the photos I uploaded and see how beautifull it turned out to be.

the combination of their duo pallets is a tad bit strange however you can find a suitable colour in another pallet of colours which would go perfectly

I suffer from oily eyelids, this is probably weird but whenever ever I put on liquid liner during the course of the evening the black is just under my eyebrow lol so I purchased MAC paint pots in a very neutral colour and this seems to work and keep the eye shadow on for longer if I use that at the bottom, this keeps it longer but yet again not during the whole night
surprisingly I found that AVON eye shadow lasts quite long and I was really impressed I used a bit more than what I usually do and this stayed on till I got home the next morning.

like I said I would use colours from 2 diff pallets and I found the colours just went better-
overall very nice product no eye shadow dust on my eyelashes after I was done

I'm buying AVON for all the ladies in my fam this christmas!

I received two eyeshadow quads from Avon to test. The combos I received were Mocha Latte and Metal Eyes. I preferred the Mocha Latte quad, but that's just purely personal taste. The Metal Eyes quad is more suited to a night out, with metallic, shimmery shades of gold, silver and browns. The Mocha Latte is much better suited to everyday use for work and meetings, with the colour combinations being much more subtle - varying shades of browns and a deep bronze.

The quality of the makeup itself is great. It feels luxurious, applies smoothly and lasts all day. The compact is a good size, easy for popping in your makeup bag or handbag. The mirror is a good size, and the compact can open wide enough for you to actually see what you're doing if you don't have time to do your makeup at home.The only complaint I have is the applicator doesn't work as well as I hoped. The sponge applicator makes blending somewhat more difficult, and since you have 4 shades, every side of the sponge applicator must have a designated colour, and you must keep to it. Even so, I just cleaned one of my other brushes, and after applying each shade, I used that brush to blend the colours together.

On the back of the box there is a handy guide showing you where to apply which shade, with the makeup itself being numbered as well. I even mixed two shades from the Mocha Latte compact with two shades of the Metal Eyes that worked out really well, and it looked great for my dinner date. I also use shade number 1 not only on my brow bone, but also on the inside corner of my eye to make it look bigger and more awake. For work, I use just the Mocha Latte palette, after which I line my upper lid with liquid liner as well, just to finish off the look. Slap on some blush and mascara, and you are good to go!

This is a great product for any woman to have. It's ease of use alone makes it invaluable, but also having the complimentary colours already picked out for you, takes care of the guesswork.

I really liked this product, I have never used avon make up and am very impressed with it, the eye shadows has an amazing amount of shimmer in them which just helped highlight the eyes more

I was very impressed with the 2 full size eyeshadows that i received. The colors are brilliant, and it has a sheer velvety texture. It glides smoothly onto the skin with a shimmery finish, love that about this product. However i do wish it lasted a little longer on my skin because I apply it every morning around 7.30 am but by 12.00pm it has faded into the creases on my eye, making my eye area look very untidy. Perhaps the manufacturer could add a stayfast ingredient to this product :-)

I received a parcel with 2 eyeshadow quad palettes, mocha latte & Jeans.

the packiging was kept simple and need. When you open it you find a neat black palette inside.

when you open the palette you will find that each of the four colours inside has a number, and on the back oof the box you will find an illustration of how to use it.

these eyeshadows really give your eyes definition, and it is long lasting. And you can decide how intens you want the colour, witch is awesome.

these eyeshadows are amazing because you can even wear them even if you are inexperiened. the illustration really are easy to follow.

The Avon Eyeshadow quad Metallic Eyes excites me because of the numbering that guides you when you wear the eyeshadow. I felt like a professional as I tried to follow the 1-2-3-4 guide for my metallic eyes. I have a deathly fear of white eye-shadow on my dark skin, but I trusted Avon's guide and I thought I looked quite good together with the other three colours.

However, I am going to stick to my usual one colour eyeshadow look with the chocolate brown or dark silver colours in the quad. For a night out, I will go for the complete 4 colour look.

The eyeshadow has a beautiful and subtle sparkle to it. It gives you a lovely shimmer that lasts all day.

When I got the chance to try out Avon’s New True Colour eye makeup I was very excited as I just love playing with new makeup styles and colours!

What is great about the product is that the different colours are numbered, and there is a guide on the back of the packaging that tells you how to apply the different colours, so even if you aren't very used to or comfortable with the idea of applying eye makeup, they make it easy for you.

Avon True Colour Jeans is a lovely palate,it is easy to keep it subtle with this colour palate. The navy eyeshadow is great for creating a smokey look, and the mint/aqua colours really made my eyes pop. The second colour palate I got is Purple Haze and I really do love this palate for an evening look!

The powder is light but stays on with no creases as it says. Some of the colors are a soft shimmer, and some matte. They all go on beautifully especially with a primer/base. They come in a great, solid compact with a decent sized mirror in the lid and they are very well pigmented. I am impressed!

I am very excited to get some more palates and try them all out! I took a few pics with my blackberry which really doesn't do the colours justice, but you get the idea.

I cannot express exactly how excited I was when I opened my parcel from BB and I found this gem inside! These colours are absolutely beautiful and exactly what I love. I'm all about the nude, brown and bronze shadows. To some, this palette may seem a tad boring, but when you discover how many looks you can do with just these four colours, you will realise that it is a must have. Shades 1 and 3 in this palette are shimmery and shades 2 and 4 are matte. I was elated when I saw that 2 matte shades are included. I love matte shadows and think that they are underrated. The fact that there's a good mix of shimmers and mattes makes this palette ideal for all ages (shimmer tends to highlight little creases on the lid, so mattes can be a little more forgiving as you get older). What's also great about the mattes in this palette is the fact that you can use them to fill your brows. Bonus! The shadows are marked 1 to 4 and instructions on where to apply which shade is on the box. This is great for someone who isn't really sure about what goes where. But don't be afraid to mix it up! The shadows are well pigmented and the colour shows up beautifully on my lids. The only negative comments that I have is the fact that the bronze looks a bit warmer on my skin than in the palette (I still like it though) and that the mattes struggle to blend if I do not prime my lids first. The shadow also creases a little bit towards the end of the day. All-in-all I really like this palette and it is a product that I would purchase for myself. Highly recommended!

One of the best things about this eyeshadow is the number system which tell you where each colour in the palette goes. For someone who wasnt sure how to apply 4 colours to the eye it makes life a whole lot easier!!

Having celebrated my Birthday this past weekend.. My True Colour Quad eyeshadow came in handy for the night out on the town! Not once did I have to do a touch up or reapply it! It lasted all night and well into the early hours of the next morning. Long wearing make up? What more could a girl ask for in an Eyeshadow?

WOW!! this is a fab color to wear day or night. The 1-2-3-4 steps help me to get that professional look I always wanted. The eye shadow is so soft on your eyes your I use it almost everyday. Thank you AVON for another great product.

I only ever wear eyeshadow when I go out with my girls but I must say this product from Avon is long lasting which is great for a hectic night!! It doesnt wear off or run like some other brands!! LOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE IT!!!

Since I've been notified that I'll be receiving the Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad to try I was very excited.

I received the two full sized Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quads to test, Mocha Latte and Jeans, two of my favourite colours I must add! I studied the method instructions wich came in very handy to me as im a bit inexperienced when it comes to make-up. the numbers on the eyeshadow itself made it so much easier to use and remember witch goes where.

I tested them both I I can truly and proudly say that also me can now put on eyeshadow with a professional look, I also played around with the numbers and swopped them around and I came up with very nice different looks wich I liked.

Thank you so much Beauty Bulletin and Avon, you helped me a lot and now know loads more regarding applying beautiful layers of eyeshadow that fits and blends ell together.

I bought this product because I wanted to do my own eye makeup. What I love about it is that this product makes it easy by showing you exactly where to place each color - so you get excellent results every time.
This is the best eyeshadow I've ever used. It is the ONLY shadow I have found that would stay on my eyes all day without smudging or making crease marks. It also came with a great free eyeliner! It's definitely worth the money, and for 120 different colors, you can't go wrong with, This is the best eyeshadow I've ever used. Woooooowww avon!
The color is soft, perfect for everyday wear, work, or if a color base is used can make a beautiful night time eye. These colors are not very vibrant but perfect for someone who wants something wearable.

I will definitely recommend Avon's True Color Eyeshadow Quads to all ladies out there. If you a eye-make up junkie or not. You sure need at least 2 quads in your colletion. Try it!

I hardly ever wear eyeshadow because I’m not confident in how to apply it or sure about which colours suit me best. So when I got the chance to try out Avon’s eye makeup I was both excited and terrified.

Fortunately the different colours are numbered, and there is a guide on the back of the packaging that tells you how to apply the different colours.

I tried the Mocha Latte palette first. Because of my lack of experience, I went for very subtle – that’s one of the great things about makeup; you can layer it until you have reached the intensity you want – and felt very chuffed with the results. The most important thing about makeup, of course, is blending. Again, something this product does with ease.

The next day I tried the Jeans palette – a little reluctantly, I have to admit, because I have blue eyes and didn’t want to look like an 80s soap star. But again, the application guide came to the rescue. The navy eyeshadow is great for creating a more subtle smokey look than black or charcoal, and really made my eyes pop.

The colour stayed in place the whole day, although as an eye-rubber, I had to remind myself constantly to keep my hands away from my eyes.

I’m pretty excited about adding eyeshadow to my makeup routine more often now. Thanks Avon and Beauty Bulletin for the opportunity and for coaxing me out of my comfort zone :)

When I was going trough AVON`s brochure in the beginning of the year I found myself in love with these shades.If I could only buy one item I would buy this exact same quad.
The colour combination is perfect for spring and summer.
It just brings light to my eyes and can be used for day and night make up.
The Golden Peach colour and the purple haze are very soft,so you need to apply more than once to really bring out the colour. My favorite shade in this whole Eyeshadow quad is the golden brown.It just does it to my green eyes.
If I apply first my AVON Eyeshadow primer lasts really long.
Overall excellent colour combination,easy to apply and stays long enough.

I was given this eyeshadow quad to review from Beauty Bulletin and I have many good things to say about it.
If you are looking for a natural look for day to day make up that will enhance the colour of your eyes in a very subtle way this is the eyeshadow quad for you.
It's very easy to apply as you just have to follow the step by step(1-4).You can easily do you eye make up in 5 minutes,which any beginner like moi will say thanks.
The packaging is also great and doesn't mess it up like a lot of eyeshadows out there.
The price is very reasonable as well.
The only thing I would say is that these shades are not appropriate if you want a make up look that will take you till the night.Because it is natural shades it won't highlight a lot of colour and is definitely not a dramatic effect shade.

What a lovely surprise when I received my first Beauty Bulletin product in the post. I had forgotten already about the survey I took part in, and had to pat myself on the back for taking the 2 minutes! Not only did I receive TWO different examples, one for the glamorous evening out and the other one is more natural for every day use. Both colours matching my eyes and bringing out the best of them. With the step-by-step guide on the back it is so easy to apply, with matching numbers on the shadows & instrustions you cannot make a mistake.

What a wonderful addition to complete my Sexy sassy wardrobe. Was extremely excited to try this product and had to do a trial run for the Lux Girls Night out offcourse with the theme being a Million Dollars. The easy application makes me want to become addicted to it and is pretty much my eye make up of choice. This eyeshadow quad not onoy makes me look like a Million Dollars but feel like it to. So it does wonders, not only for the outer image as well as the inner boost to be that confident woman. Simply stunning sexy!

I recieved the metal eyes quad and it looks fab!!!! its such a nice consistency unlike most other eyeshadows , its thick and lasts a long time without streaking. Its blends easily and ive been using just 2 colours for an everyday work look so they are quite adaptable.

i received 2 avon true colour eyeshadow quads one in mocha latte and the other one in metal eyes. it has a sheer finish but quiet buildable and blendable. it goes on so smoothly.it stays quiet long for about 8 hours. MOCHA LATTE has 2 matte shades and 2 shimmery. in METAL EYES all the colours are shimmery.

So I've tried and tested the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quads. I really like the shades I received, which were, Jeans and Metal Eyes. I have a olive skin tone and it looked very pretty. Bummer though was that by 13:00 it was all in the creases of my eyes, I don't know if this is caused by my combination skin. So, if you're not a lazy chika like me and don't mind re-doing your eye-shadow midday then you'll probably like this product. Video Review to follow.

Smooth finish slight glitter. Don't like the colour Mocha Latte.will use it over a darker lipstick for the sparkle

I received my goodie bag from beauty bulletin and Avon this week and was so excited. I received two eyeshadow quads in Metal Eyes and Purple Haze. I immediately swatches the colours and product was creamy n so pigmented. The colours went on smoothly and looked exactly as they did in the pan when swatched.
I used the Puple haze on the first day placing the no1 shade under my brow as a highlighter, shade no 2 on my entire lid, no3 in the crease and shade no4 on the outer v of the eyelid. The colours went on well, with very little fall out and blended so well. I usually wear my makeup for atleast 8 hours and at the end of the day my eye look was still intact which for me is impressive. I did use an eye base primer before applying the eyeshadow which doesnt always mean the eyeshadow will last on the eyelids. I am so far very impressed with the quality of the makeup and am really looking forward to trying different looks with these quads. Stay tune for updates.

These eye shadows have great staying power. I usually do my makeup around 7am and when I take it off at 6pm they still look great.
I Love these eye shadows and I highly recommend them.
The packaging also looks good.

I received one quad in Mocha Latte and one in Purple Haze.

Firstly, I liked the packaging. I don't know how much these retail for but the compacts are a nice, glossy black with a good opening mechanism (no chance of a broken "clicky" bit in the future). The four shades in each compact are numbered one to four, making it dead easy for even the most novice eyeshadow user to achieve a pretty look. It takes the guesswork out of makeup application!

Secondly, the shadows are quite powdery and there is a bit of fallout, but the colour payoff is very good and accurate when compared to the colour in the pan. They apply beautifully with a blending brush or a flat eyeshadow brush and blend easily. I tried the shadows with an eyeshadow primer and without, to see whether it made a difference, and in both cases the shadow didn't crease at all in seven or eight hours. The colour did tend to fade a bit after seven hours (especially the purples) but there was no creasing and it faded evenly. In summary, I would be happy to use these on a regular basis as the quality and longevity are very good. I was impressed by them and would recommend these eyeshadow quads.

The quad contains four very wearable colours: a lighter shimmery flesh colour; a matte light brown; a shimmery gold; and a matte darker brown. The eyeshadow is really pigmented and can be used for a light natural look or glammed up for a night out.

This is my favourite eyeshadow. It's very simple and natural looking, and if you need abit of glamour it has a super gold eyeshadow which allows you to be abit glamourous. I wear this eyeshadow everyday when I want a beautiful natural look. The box also has tips on how to apply the eyeshadow to get the best look for you. The casing of he eyeshadow is so simple yet stylish. It fits easily in bags. The eyeshadow is also long lasting and the colour can last up to 12 hours, with no creasing or fading.

I use this Quad Palette everyday for work considering it is an extremely corporate environment and bright colours will make you stick out like a sore thumb! If you require a wearable neutral look that's very natural like me, this is the perfect colour for you. The packaging is brilliant and sleek and the fact that there is mirror in the quad makes it perfect for on the go touch ups if need be. There is a sheer Ivory shade that works great as a highlight color, a matte taupe shade, a shimmery coppery brown and a gorgeous matte dark brown that I usually use as a crease color for effect. I mostly use the highlight and matte brown though. It is pretty great value for money considering how much product you get. Being the clumsy person I am, I have dropped the Quad quite often :) and it has never broken any shade. Even the mirror stayed intact so the packaging is the best ever because it has prevented quite a few years of bad luck! Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a versatile neutral quad that can create both evening and day looks.
