After seeing this product all over the youtube sphere in early 2014 I was annoyed at the lack of range of makeup brands available in South Africa. A few months later at my weakly trip to Dischem I saw the full range of concealers and thanked the makeup gods for answering my prayers.
Eager to try the product I bought 2 tubes of the colour Fawn as a highlight for my dark skin, a tube of the colour Toast and 2 tubes of the colour Dark Cocoa to contour my face.
My first observation was that the concealer was very thick and creamy which was perfect for concealing my dark areas and blemishes when wearing a heavy makeup look. Despite the product being very thick, it is non clogging and thus did not result in any breakout on my combination skin.
My second observation on the product is that a little goes a long way. The small packaging definitely had me fooled. It was completely unnecessary for my to buy more than one tube of the same colour as one tube can easily last over 2 months of everyday use.
What I like most about the product is the colour range. It is definitely hard to find low end makeup brands with a colour range as extensive as LA Girl's. I recommend spending your time choosing your correct colour as I made the initial misconception that Fawn was the correct highlight colour for me when in fact it was actually too light for my skin tone, leaving me with an ashy look. I now know that toast best suits my skin as a highlight.
At only R30 per tube I definitely recommend this to everyone looking for a high quality low price concealer.

I have always been hesitant to buy a good and proper concealer (probably because I've never known what to buy!), and have usually relied on my Yardley Oatmeal 3-in-1 Blemish Stick to cover up my problem areas. But I had to try this product because it is blowing up the beauty blogs and channels on Youtube, probably because it is extremely affordable and super effective.
The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer is has a unique brush applicator that is soft and easy to use. The brush may not be to everyone's liking, but I use it simply to transfer the product to my skin and use a makeup sponge/beauty blender to blend it in. Perfect. The consistency is smooth and relatively creamy, and, once blended, has a smooth matte finish that literally lasts all day (I do, however, use a finishing spray to make my makeup last longer). Also, it doesn't crease, although I suspect that if you are building it to provide a more fuller coverage, this might become a risk.
This product comes in eighteen shades so I highly doubt you won't find a colour to suit your skin tone. I bought mine in Medium Beige, and it blends perfectly with my BB Cream.

I love this concealer! The best budget friendly one out there in my opinion. (but not the best concealer ever...I'm yet to find that...)
I have 6 of the colours but mainly use the Pure beige (highlighting) and Beautifully Bronze (contouring).
It is in a tube like packaging with a brush tip. You squeeze and product is dispensed into the applicator. I don't like the applicator though as you will have to clean it after use as product becomes thick on it.
There are so many shades but I haven't found one that is perfect for my skin match. I found them better to use as highlighter and contouring shades. (Colours stated above)
The concealers blend well . If you want them to appear more prominent , use a brush to blend and if you want a more natural look, use a beauty blender sponge/ foundation sponge.
I notice that they oxidise abit and become about 1 shade darker. The concealers last for about 4-5 hours (over a primer) and last for a shorter time when there is no primer. Throughout the day, they fade and might become abit streaky in certain areas of the face (especially with oily skin! ). It will last you much longer if set well with a loose powder (lookup "baking with powder", which helps to reduce concealer creasing)
It may be more suitable for people with drier skin than those with oily , so keep that in mind. Also, be careful with transfer as I was wearing a white hoodie and it rubbed off onto it around the neckline.

I've been struggling to find the perfect concealer as I've been using different concealers over the years and haven't gotten that wow effect yet after I found this one, and I must say its PERFECT!I love the way its packaged, I love all the colours it comes in because you can use it for contouring as well,and I love the affordable price too! I love everything about this amazing product, and will be committing myself to this one for sure :)It stays on for hours and its coverage is really outstanding! No wonder there were almost no stock left at Dischem!:) Will definitely recommend this product for its price and quality! A huuuuuuge Like!

I just went pro, and not just any kinda pro, I mean LA girl pro.
The most effecttive concealer money can buy. Picked this up at Dischem for just under R 50 and my budget is still alive lol
I like its soft finish, in bronze especially around my nose area and it blends lovely.
I also like that fact that it comes with a finish brush, gorgeous so no mess, no fuss.

As it sometimes happened with a hype created around a product: expectations that is too high. I have tried many, many, many concealers and when this hype was created I was quite excited as we don't have a lot of quality drugstore concealers in SA (Really sad that Maybelline Fit Me and Age Rewind Concealer is not available here). I have found the colors of the LA Girl Concealers to either be very pink or very yellow. The pigmentation of this concealers is not great either, so it will work absolutely fine if you just want to use it to finish of your look. If you have quite dark circles this is going to be a problem. Because sure, you can build the product but that automatically means more creasing.It is maybe not fair, but what I expect from a concealer is what I get from Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer: Excellent coverage and minimal creasing.

I really wanted this concealer after hearing so much about it.
I use the shade Cool tan.
The main reason I purchased this concealer is cover up my acne scars and dark circles under my eyes.
The consistency is creamy.
Blends really well and is not cakey at all which makes it easy to work with. Leaves my skin looking very natural and works well in covering up my flaws. I have oily acne prone skin and it does not make me break out so that's a plus.
The cons about this product is that it's not as long wearing as I would like to have been and I also found with the tube I got you have to press it really hard to get some product out and when it does come out, it comes out too much.
But it is really affordable and works well.

People rave and rave about this product, and with perfectly good reasons... At just under R 50, this product is extremely cheap and good value for money. One of my favourite beauty vloggers Shaaanxo swears by it. However, it just didn't really work for me.
The colour range is the main source of my disappointment. The lightest shade of LA Girl Pro HD Concealer available in SA is the very peachy Classic Ivory. WHY do South African retailers think all pale people are either extremely pink or extremely orange??
The peachy shade means it works well at neutralising my dark circles, but I can't use it anywhere else on my face to conceal redness or blemishes because it just doesn't match. Because the lightest shade is darker than my skin tone, I can't use this concealer range to contour which gives me serious FOMO. If Dis-Chem brought in the shades Porcelain and Light Ivory, I might be able to join in on the fun...
My second gripe is that this concealer shifts and creases under my eyes, even if I set it with powder. I have dry skin, so liquid products usually have great lasting power on my skin. But not this one...

This product is hugely popular in the States and I have been waiting for it to arrive on our shores, stocked by DISCHEM this product is HUGELY popular and almost ALWAYS out of stock.
I got lucky one day closed my eyes and bought a few different colours to use for Highlighting, covering dark circles, contouring and baking.
It is dynamite in a really small package. Applies well, blends well and a small amount goes a very long way.
I have gotten more out of this little R50-ish product that most of my expensive concealers

I'm always watching youtube make-up videos and have been looking to this concealer in the colour fawn!
Went to dischem the other day and they had it and the joy!!! Paid R40 for this.
It's such a bargain and does such a great job, I'm still trying to find the perfect translucent powder to go with this concealer, in the meantime I'm using my Mac powder, but it has great coverage and it doesn't crease which I love!
Def a BB must have.

It has an easy to apply built in brush at the top and a sneezy tube - so convenient when you on the go and need to conceal some blemishes or dark circles!

Everyone loves this concealer because of how affordable it is and how well it works. This is the perfect concealer to use! I have not heard a bad thing about this. I find it is so easy to apply with the brush applicator and I use my finger to blend it in. It really brightens your under eye and fixes those horrible spots that you are trying to cover up! Its so worth the purchase! You will not be disappointed!

I have very bad under eye circles and prefer that my concealer packs a good concealing punch. This product however did not do it for me.

But the thing I look for most in a concealer is good concealing properties. It just does not sit very tight on my skin and it only provides medium coverage.
If you only need a light concealer and you are on a budget, then I would suggest it, but if you need something more potent, get the Catrice Camouflage Cream and it costs a few bucks more.

This concealer has literally changed my life....lol. well i've tried many concealers from drugstore to high-end. But this lil bad boy is amazing ,its creamy consistency blends like a dream and does not crease. I apply it over my foundation under my eyes and then set it with a powder and lasted all day.10/10 for this one

As a beginner to the contouring craze, I've decided to watch videos and self teach myself.. These concealer sticks were the most fruequently used in all videos I've watched.. They work like magic and they're really cheap.. I've got the bronze for contouring and two shades lighter than my skin tone for highlighting.. The texture is really smooth and doesn't cake, the applicator at the end of the tube just makes life so much easier and no other blender or brush is needed..

I have been seeing a lot of beauty gurus boosting about how amazing this concealer is and ofcourse I had to check it as to what all the fuss is about!! It only cost me R34.95 think Dischem had a special and OMG lifechanging... Its awesome to highlight under eyes esepcially those nasty panda eyes.. What can I say I am amazed by this little guy. I have just started using this brand for my highlighting and contouring. I am highly impressed with the quality and price!
It's not flaky or doesn't cake, it applies on very well. Because I have very oily skin it's really hard to find a concealer that will stay on my skin, well this one certainly does!

I have been using this highlighter for almost a year now, and my goodness it is any makeup-lover's highlighting dream. The product is not too solid or too creamy so it doesn't cake but at the same time not to liquid so it doesn't just run down your face. I always apply it with a blender sponge and it just spreads right on and lives a light weight, natural highlight to your face.
Apply this on the highest points of your face ( forehead, bridge of your nose, chin, and cheekbones) where light naturally hits your face and set it with a powder and your Instagram photos will never look the same!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!!! It covers my eye bags smoothly and works amaze-balls as my highlight and it lasts longer too.
I contour with the same concealer but in DARK COCOA! I swear by this concealer it's worth every cent and they have shades for all skin twice or twice lighter for all skin types!

This concealer is just awesome.It covers up blemishes and scars pretty well..and with all array of shades available you are bound to find a match for you. If not, you can still pick up 2 tubes (they are very affordable) and make a custom shade just for yourself. Its light and blends well. Only con is the brush which might be a bit unsanitary. Totally recommend this ..

This is probably one of the most amazing yet most affordable concealer I've ever come across. I use the concealer in Pure Beige, which gives me the perfect coverage. This amazing concealer is crease proof and has a lovely texture. The coverage is amazing, the concealer covers redness, blemishes and dark circles. I also loved that the concealer was a light texture and didn't feel thick or heavy on my face. It. Also doesn't make my skin oily or make my make up look plastered on, which is something I really like about the concealer.

I am really blown away by the quality of this concealer. I have tried many brands before and so far I am enjoying this one the most. Firstly they come in wide range of colours (there are at least 10 shades). I already bought 2 shades in Nude and Natural. It allows me to create my custom shade based on how tanned I am. Considering how cheap this product is you can literally purchase as many shades as you like! Their shades are yellow based and look really natural on the skin.
Secondly they are super creamy. For a concealer it is very important, otherwise you start getting bald spots as you blend it on your under eye area. It has amazing coverage. My undereye circles are now fully covered and it also works great on pimples. You can really create flawless skin with this product.
It wears really well and doesn't cake up. Also looks good when set with powder.
The consistency of the product is like a cream. It is not too thick or liquid. It comes in a nice practical tube with a little brush in the end. It is ok for appling if you blend it with a brush or finger afterwards. One just needs to be careful not to dispense too much product by squeezing the tube too much.
Overall I really recommend to try this product for everyone who uses concealers. It is so affordable you cant really go wrong! You might be surprised by it performing better than your more luxury brands!
