Lux Beauty Body Wash - Scarlet Blossom

I love the smell of this body wash - it smells so beautiful and girly :) The smell lasts for such a long time on the skin and makes it so smooth. I like that it it becomes very foaming on the loufa. Would definitely buy again.

What's not to love about Lux! ...exotic is the word best suited to describe this body wash. We all know how awesome Lux leaves our skin feeling ,with the luxurious creaminess of this wash, you can expect nothing less. Bath time is always a wonderful experience, you are sure be left with silky soft, beautiful skin and it goes without saying how amazing the fragrance is.

The texture of this body wash is very creamy and luxurious, it has a lovely smell that stays on you for 2-3 hours after you have showered.

When applying this in the shower, it leaves the skin feeling smooth, so there is no need for applying lotion... The body wash rinses off easily without leaving any residue behind. It doesn't even make the skin feel dry.

I have tried the Lux Body Wash (Scarlet Blossom) and let me tell you, the fine fragrances of Egyptian violet and elemi oil so extraordinary it will take you to another world.

19.99 from checkers for a 200 ml size and it's a perfect companion in ur gym bag or for travelling! It wont dry out skin and is so aromatic you could even skip ur roll on! My kids love it too and we always have more than one in our house at any given tym! My husband prefers his wake me up one and the kids have chosen sheer twilight and kiss me versions! I'm partial to Scarlett blossom! Everyone has their favourite based on colour or smell

Absolutely love love love Lux - Lux is the only product I use and lets be honest, they smell devine. The shower gel foams up beautifully and feels like silk on your skin. Have been using Lux for years - the one and only by far!

I love this bodywash. I've always enjoyed using shower gel type soaps more than bar soaps, simply because they feel more hygienic and this is one of my new favorites. It smells heavenly, not too sweet or flowery, with a hint of fruitiness that I absolutely adore. I feel like the scent could have lasted better on my skin, but maybe that's just me. I felt clean and refreshed and moisturised after using it. Truly great.

this is def my favourite shower gel to use, i love the range of smells so much that when standing in the isle in the grocery shop i cant decide to buy one or all of them! And the smells last on your body long after getting out the bath. Such a big rich lather too. great value for money and totally worth buying it does seem to last forever

When you first open the bottle you're taken on an imaginative journey to somewhere exotic and mysterious by the subtle musky flowery fragrance. I really enjoyed that the fragrance lingered on my skin for a while after I had gotten out of the shower.

Although I usually prefer a creamier body wash, I will surely buy this one again somewhere in between others. Mostly because I'm a sucker for enchanting fragrances in products and also because I travel a lot, and find the shape, durability and size of the 200ml bottle perfect for this purpose.

Just love this wash! I am really going all out to make sure I never run out!

Wow, what a fantastically fragrant body wash, it leaves you feeling relaxed yet entices you to feel just a little on the naughty side because you come out of the bath or shower smelling like nothing you have ever smelt before. My first impression of the bottle was very striking as the colors caught my attention. The bottle looked mystical with the flame & orange background together with the dark bottom. I knew i was in for an overwhelming experience. As LUX never disappoints! In winter one needs that ‘Pick me up’ moment in the bath or shower. So you feel revitalized & warm when you done. Lux is a trusted brand that has been around forever so i was excited to review this product.
As i opened the easy to use flip cap a burst of exotic smells engulfed the room. As the enigmatic scent of Egyptian violet & elemi oil filled the air i knew i was in for a luxurious & relaxing shower. I poured a few drops onto my pouf immediately it lathered such a concentrated product. Not often does a body wash lather so fast. No spillage & the shower friendly cap makes it all more enjoyable. As i began to cover my body with the soapy lather I felt as though i was being dressed in pure silk, soft & delicate. Talk abt being clothed in the shower! My skin felt baby soft. No after shower dryness at all, in fact my skin felt well moisturized. I tried using the body wash in the bath tub as well with my daughter and she said it smelt like pretty flowers so i knew for sure this was an awesome product as the truth always comes out of the mouth of babes. The fragrance lingers on in the bathroom even after you done. I will definitely be using this product regularly as it’s great and is affordable. I have been recommending it to all my friends and family!

Lux body wash has a magnificent scent that stays on your body after using it,I have no complaints about it whatsoever.

Sheer Twilight is sheer enchantment! The shower gellish soap, rich in Black Orchid and Juniper oil coats the skin with a fragrance that lingers long after you have toweled yourself dry. Dreams of lush colours and a vibrant atmosphere give way to sheer indulgence.
Although the texture seems very gellish, it's not too runny which allows for an economical wash. It lathers very nicely and one pump can soap up the entire body. The price is just perfect! You are able to purchase almost all the various fragrances for under a R100. The Lux Body Wash left my skin feeling revitalised and smelling like 'a Million Dollars'! Beautiful product and good value for money!

I was so excited to try this body wash. I have always been a fan of lux body washes. The first time that i used it,the smell was too overpowering for me but it lathered very nicely and it moisturizes my skin,leaving it soft and smooth. After a few times of using it everyday i became used to the smell and now i love it! I will continue using this until it's finished and then i will buy again. Lux is so affordable and a little goes a long way. I love the way it feels on my skin.

My kids asked if they could bath with "mommy's special soap"- needless to say I had to go and by myself a new bottle. They love it so much, they refused to give it back.

I have been using this product daily for a week now, and it definitely meets all its promises.

The wash lathers really well on my sponge, which means you don't need a lot of product for each shower. It lathers to a creamy type of foam which goes a long way.

While using this body wash your shower is completely wrapped in the fragrance and it finds its way into all your senses.
The fragrance definitely lingers on your skin ever so gently.

The Scarlet Blossom scent is heavy on the egyptian Violet and you are met with the scent as soon as the bottle is opened.
I can definitely still notice the scent long into the day and it is quite a beautiful expensive smelling scent which I love.

Although there is a perfumed scent, it is not overpowering at all, this does not make you smell as though you have used an entire bottle of perfume, it is more of a subtle linger on your skins surface.

The only negative for me was that this body wash is not very moisturising. I have loved that about other Lux body washes, and this one doesn't have that factor. Perhaps especially since it is winter I don't have that lovely soft moisturised feeling once I have stepped out the shower. This is a pity because I do feel that having to add a regular body cream kills the fragrance somewhat.

Overall, definitely delivers on what is advertised, however I would only repurchase if they come out with a more moisturising skin softening variant.

I only buy Lux body washes...And their variety of fragrances is great!!!

It cleans, it smells lovely but is not the most cost effectice choice out there.

I received my Lux Scarlet Blossom in the mail and felt like I’d received a surprise belated birthday gift. I didn’t want to be swayed by the caption on the bottle so I resisted reading anything more than “Scarlet Blossom”. I flicked open the lid expecting to see the familiar beige or white wash but was pleasantly surprised to see the pretty red shade.

I closed my eyes so that nothing could detract from my first sniff and first impression. A caravan of camels walking slowly over tangerine coloured dunes sprang to mind. And on the camels’ backs, beautiful Egyptian women ordained in gold jewellery and burgundy and purple silks. The air was silent except for the gentle tinkle of gold cups strung over the camels’ backs.

I found this quite odd as I only read the caption afterwards which reads, “For an enigmatic scent of Egyptian Violet & Elemi Oil with Fragrance Pearls that last.” And that’s no exaggeration. The scent does last for long after your shower and quickly brings back to my mind those exotic images. If that’s what they were trying to achieve, then they certainly got it right.

The next step was to try this wonderfully smelling body wash. So I settled my eight year old in the bath and then stepped into the shower. They suggest a teaspoon of the body wash, but even that was too much, such was the wonderful rich scarlet wash. The heat of the shower intensified the wonderful fragrance.

A few minutes later a little voice with a touch of sadness came from the bath, “Ah, you smell nicer than me.”

I smiled. “Would you like some?”

“Yes please,” came the reply.

So shivering I quickly tiptoed to her in the bath and squeezed a little onto her sponge.

“It’s red,” she exclaimed with glee and proceeded to soap herself. It seems that she too was surprised by the pretty red shade.

“Ah, I’m all red,” she said smiling. “It smells so nice.”

I continued with my shower. I couldn’t see her through the misted shower glass but I could hear that she was taken by the body wash. “I’m going to get me some,” she said with determination. “It’s ‘lekka’.”

With its pretty shade and its exotic smell, the product falls nicely into Lux’s range of products. Its rich lather transports you briefly to a time where a touch of luxury was the norm.

So actually this product was reviewed twice; once by me and I was totally sold, and once unknowingly and totally unbiased in every way by an eight year old who was totally enthralled by it.

If tonight’s bath time was such a pleasant experience, I can only imagine what tomorrow’s will be like. And I can’t wait!

Would be nice if it is available in rural areas, disappointingly the fragrance doesn't last that long, otherwise it is an amazing product which i will definitely buy

I was thrilled to receive a bottle of this luxurious beauty body wash from the gorgeous staff of Beauty Bulletin to review! I absolutely adore Lux's beauty body washes and this one is no exception. From its scarlet colour to its exotic fragrance, you will find yourself totally spirited away to some stunning location far away. If you are anything like me, a very busy mom of two small children, your shower is your little peace of heaven, so you need to use products that will add to that heavenly experience. Lux Scarlet Blossom Beauty Bodywash is perfect, just a small dollop of the wash on a loofah will produce a lot of lather, so a little bit goes a long way. Luxury that doesn't break your budget! I love the scent and it does seem to linger after my shower. Skin is left so soft and scented! The packaging is practical, with a flip top lid, but it still manages to look pretty on my shower caddy. I feel like this body wash ticks all the boxes: cleanses gently, smells delicious and doesn't dry my skin out. Best of all its an affordable indulgence! Way to go Lux!

Absolutely Gorgeous!

As lux promises of all its products, this truly is luxury in a bottle. Its gorgeous red colour and divine exotic scent. Leaves my skin soft and moisturised and smelling beautiful.
The scent seems to start off fruity and as you wash it transforms to a subtle floral fragrance.
The scent lasted on me all the way to mid morning the following day and I couldn'tget enough of it.
My only request would be that they make a cream that smels like that so you don't ruin the beautifl scent when you have to put cream on after your shower.

I nearly finished the whole bottle in one shower session :) The scent was quite strong while showering but I think that is so it lasts on the skin. It didn't last on me unfortunately but the shower smelt great afterwards LOL Also I prefer the Sheer Twilight scent. I loved the colour though, it's a gorgeous ruby coloured gel. I also was not pleased with the lather. I usually do not notice this kind of thing but the foam/lather felt kind of thin and not rich (I was using a loofah). I'll will give the scent 7/10 , It's lasting power 3/10. Overall i felt the product was just pretty coloured super sweet smelling soap.

When I first smelt this product, the aroma was too strong, but once you use it in the shower, it is very pleasant and leaves the skin feeling glowing. The residual scent is lovely on the skin. It is a great new product to try.

I found this body wash too strong!

I have only just picked mine up from the post office, as I was lucky enough to be chosen to try it. The smell is divine and exotic and I am tempted to go shower right now so I can smell like this. The liquid is dark red gel and I cannot wait to try it out.

Lux Scarlet Blossom, just the sound of that sounds exotic. The scarlet blossom is a finely fragranced body wash that is infused with Egyptian violet and emeli oil. It is said that this was inspired by the exotic blossom when it blooms. The body wash contains fragranced pearls that allows the scent to linger onto the skin after your wash.

Scarlet blossom body wash comes in a peach red liquid and has a thick consistency. The colours combined on the packaging are capturing and its very accessible. It is easily spread over the body and spreads smoothingly over my skin using a loofa or a sponger if one might prefer. The fist time I used it I only used a small amount but the scent only lasted about half an hour. which was disappointing.
The second time I knew better I used a little bit extra so that the scent lingers longer. I could not stop smelling my skin #giggles.

The body wash lathers great and left my skin feeling soft, clean an exoticly scented. I love how the smell just grabs you when you wash.
The product is very affordable and I would buy it again since winter is upon us I need my skin smelling great.

Price is good as is sizes available for travelling - perhaps bring out a 100ml for travellers
Quality excellent - thick and small amount needed to produce high lathring foam
Effectiveness, lested a good 18 hours in fragrance

This is my number one favourite body wash. It is not an overly expensive body wash that will break the bank, but does not present itself like the cheap counterpart you would expect. The Scarlet Blossom one is my favourite in the range, and it is the one that I buy all the time. It does not dry out my skin, and leaves it silky smooth and it smells so amazing. The smell lasts for hours, and I truly feel fresh and clean after I have used it.

I would highly recommend the Fine Fragrance Body Washes as they are the best bang for your buck without sacrificing quality and do exactly what they promise, and leave you smelling gorgeous!
