Iv been impressed before with a Katy Perry fragrance and I'm again pleasantly surprised! I was very lucky to have cosmo gift me a bottle and I was excited before I even smelt it cause of how stunning the bottle it! If you hold the bottle up to a light it shines through the most beautiful color. and the scent that followed was feminine devine! so sweet and fresh and floral and I find it has a soft powder note to it that is lovely!
And it lasts long on me and that's hard to find!
Great addition to my collection and with such a beautiful bottle I feel like I should carry it around in my hand bag just to show it off!

Can not comment on the product itself but loved the campaign, I just don't get to the stores that much. Love the bottle and is on my list to try.

I'm a huge fan of Katy Perry and her fragrances, and other than Purr, this is one of my favourite fragrances.
It doesn't seem to stay on for as long as Purr does, but at least that means it's a very light and non-intoxicating scent.
It's quite sweet and fruity, which is just my kinda fragrance.
My problem? Its shape makes it difficult to place the bottle upright. XD

I am a perfume bottle collector and Royal Revolution has by far exceeded the rest of my collection. A Gem-shaped blue glass bottle, bringing the theme of royalty and what it entails perfectly across. As the bottle suggests, diamonds can make a girl feel and smell like royalty.
Lovely fragrance, just as beautiful and dominating on the inside as on the outside. It is an inspiring fragrance with strong accords of woody and white floral accents.
This fragrance is as beautiful as it is bold - just like Katy Perry herself! Love, Love, LOVE this scent!

In a world where fairytales have become nothing more than stories for little girls and most countries no longer have a royal family ruling them, the idea of royalty has slowly faded into a distant dream. However, for those out there, who, like me are still intrigued by the grace and beauty that royalty portrays, the dream is still alive. Unfortunately for me the dream was just too far from my reality. I am the girl in the black clothes and combat boots. I have the dark eyeliner and bold lipstick. My style choices are risky at best, which often means I have a very hard time marrying my dreamy, romantic side with my edgy goth,tomboy style.
I had come to accept that I would never truly experience the feminine, elegance of a princess, leave alone a queen. Fairy tales just weren't part of my destiny. That is until I opened the surprise package that appeared at my door in October. Inside lay the answer to my conflict. A fragrant elixir in an edgy blue yet feminine bottle called out to my inner princess. It drew me in and whispered promises of far away kingdoms and gorgeous balls. At the same time the strong, sexy scent of blackthorn wafting out of the bottle spoke to my darker side.
For the first time in my life, one tiny bottle of dreams agreed with both my goth and feminine side. Never before had my idea of royalty been so shaken up. No longer was I thinking of royalty as the those perfect, untouchable Disney princesses. Instead I was picturing a hot, sexy and sassy Queen. The type of woman who knows what she wants, will demand and she shall receive.
The fragrance was the confidence booster I needed. I was finally able to express both sides of my personality without feeling self-conscious. Basically, the new Katy Perry perfume is an elixir that will demand a style revolution forcing you to embrace your inner queen.

And so are the lyrics to the famous Queen song: Killer Queen. Those lyrics explain this fragrance for me so well. I'm pretty sure Katy Perry used these lyrics as a reference when deciding on this perfume. But before I break out further into song....let me start my journey to royal revolution from the beginning....
I love the packaging! It suits the feel of the perfume so well. It almost felt like I was given an old music box from the 1600's yet it has a modern twist to it. The bottle itself is out of the ordinary as well. With its gem-like design it is straight from Alice in Wonderland. It really does remind me of something that the Red Queen would use....being a 'killer queen' herself.
I instantly enjoyed the smell of the fragrance when I used it for the first time. It is a very soft smell with hints of spice....exactly how a Queen comes across. The only bad critique that I would give this fragrance is that it does not last long. The smell fades through the day so one ends up using a lot more of the fragrance than probably needed. For me, a fragrance's smell should last the whole day. I am using another pop-star's fragrance as well, and the smell lasts for up to 24hrs. Therefore, I was expecting it from this fragrance too.
Besides that, I really enjoyed experimenting this fragrance and give a big thumbs up to everyone who worked on it!

I was sent a secret box that contained a gorgeous bottle that resembled a precious gem... this blue diamond was the key to the entire mission.
I was instantly memorised when I smelt this fragrance! Immediately I knew that this scent held mystifying power and would memorise anyone that happen to inhale its sweetness and brightness.
It's predominately floral fragrance with top notes of Pink Freesia and Pomegranate are captivating!
The middle notes of Sandalwood, Orange Flower and Jasmine Petals add a richness without being sickly sweet.
And the base notes of Black Thorn, Skin Musk and Vanilla Orchard add a leatherish depth.
And to let you in on a little secret, Black Thorn is a magic ingredient that was even used in spells in the middle ages!
You can wear this enchanting fragrance it both day and night so that you maintain your power 24/7. You may just need to re apply about every 5 hours for maximum effect.
However it does tend to work best in summer and spring.
It is the embodiment of a powerful woman!

It's a well-known fact that ladies love to smell good. We're all perfume snobs and we know what we like and what we dislike. I have to admit, I am skeptical when it comes to celeb perfumes because most smell quite generic and tends to be a cheaper imitation of a more luxurious brand. But the Katy Perry Killer Queen fragrance blew me away.
My favourite scent is a fruity floral scent and that's exactly what this Katy Perry Royal Revolution is - a fruity blend with a dash of floral.
The bottle is inspired by the beauty of a precious Blue Diamond.
With scents of: pink freesia, black thorn, pomegranate, orange flower, sandalwood, jasmine petals and base notes of soft leather, skin musk, vanilla orchid, this perfume is an adventure to the senses - is it more fruity or more floral? I love that the scent is light enough to wear during the day, but can pair well with a little black dress and high stilettos for a night out. Every time I wear it, I smell something different, mesmerizing, beautiful. The scents that stands out most for me is definitely the orange flower and the musk, making this a soft and girly scent with extra oomph.
The only cons I have is:
- the smell is not really long lasting - it fades within about 5 hours and that's why I rated it a 3.
- the bottle is a little bit impractical to store (but there's ways we can work around that). I still love the powerfully elegant design.

When it comes to celebrity fragrances, I often am not blown away by them. This is usually because the quality of the ingredients aren't as great as their more expensive counterparts and the fragrances seem unimaginative so that they get that mass market appeal.
Katy Perry's latest offer, Royal Revolution, really has me intrigued. It's one of those fragrances that is so dynamic and complex that each time you wear it you pick up different notes. The notes are floral and slightly fruity at the same time - a perfect balance between the two. I personally love fruity fragrances but I don't want to smell like air freshener, so the addition of the floral notes real balances things out nicely. The top notes are aromas of red pomegranate and pink freesia. The heart of the fragrance contains Jasmine and orange flower and sandalwood. The base is blackthorn, vanilla orchid, leather and skin musk. As you can see by the list of fragrances this truly is dynamic!
The bottle is based on a blue diamond that is truly beautiful to look at. This perfume not only smells expensive, the bottle makes it feel expensive. I really love the unusual shape of the bottle and how the the lid looks like a crown topped with Katy Perry's royal crest.
When it comes to perfume, I can be quite a snob - I am not going to lie. But in all honesty, this is a perfume I can see myself wearing every day. It is absolutely perfect for summer and the price makes it something you can afford to wear everyday without having the dreaded "Replacement Cost" in the back of your mind.
