Dove Colour Radiance Daily Treatment Conditioner - Review

This is a very delayed review that would be about I find it a bit difficult to review hair products. I have used this product in between using other products which is probably not the best thing to do.

I have been using a really cheap conditioner for a while now just because it was in the shower. This morning I decided to bring this product with me and try again. And wow there is definitely a huge difference in my hair! I was so shocked that I don't think I will be using the other product again.

Results:

1. Less frizzy
2. More manageable
3. Smooth look and feel to the hair
4. Makes my hair look less colour damaged (especially the damaged ends)
5. Lovely gentle smell
6. Baby hairs are relaxed and not standing up

I have used other Colour treatment hair products as well and I can say that this conditioner is so nourishing compared to the ones I have used!

My hair looks so much more healthier. So it helped using the cheaper shampoo and switching it up after a while.

I'm amazed at what this conditioner does for my Frizzy hair, it adds such shine and even tames my unruly hair on some level. I love that it does not weigh my hair down ,in fact it leaves it light and bouncy. It adds a vibrancy to my hair colour as well and I was actually asked if I recently coloured my hair,which btw I did not. So I'm quite pleased with this and will continue to purchase it.

Ok so I have used this conditioner a few times but sadly my color has already faded out so much and I don't plan on coloring again as I would like to go lighter for summer, but here is my review. It smells really nice and fresh and it is not a thick conditioner, I thought it wasn't going to do much for my hair because I'm so used to thick conditioners to tame my hair but I was wrong! It left my hair soft with a beautiful shine afterwards. If I ever go darker again I would invest in this range to lock in the color, especially because the range is priced so well.

I have been using Dove colour radiance Conditioner for a month now and i can really see the difference in my hair. it leaves my hair shiny, clean, soft and healthy and i love the smell it really works well with my hair as i have thick, curly, frizzy hair and it works wonderful with my hair

Having used my Colour Radiance conditioner has been such an awesome experience. Could not wait for every second day so that I could just use my Dove Colour Radiance Range and show off my manes. Lol!
On a serious note though. This Conditioner is so light weight and every day usage-friendly. It applies easy with using on a drop at a time, combing it through with a paddle brush you instantly feel soft as silk locks going through your fingers. Leaving it in for a minute or two washing out is a breeze as well. Really washes out easily and when it comes to styling your hair I have felt that my hair blow dries much quicker that when I used my previous products and my hair is so much more manageable.
My hair has that just coloured feeling, except for my regrowth obviously but further more like I said in my Shampoo review even my hair dresser gave me a compliment on Saturday saying that my highlights still look really good since I’ve done my hair in September!
Again, the bottle is so user friendly, the cap is not too tight, does not take up too much space in your suitcase when traveling as well as when you just store it on your Shower shelf!
Ladies a real winner if you’re looking for that easy to use every day / second day conditioner.
A real must have when I go shopping again for my New Year stock!

To start with, here is some background on my hair "situation".

My hair :

* has been hi-lighted and coloured since I left school (which is a long time ago ;-).

* is of medium thickness, but there are lots of it! (resembling an explosion in a matrass factory ;-)).

* is dry with some colour damage (I try to avoid heat styling as far as possible!).

* is wavy & tends to frizz when humidity is high (I try not to scare the neighbourhood kids :-).

* tangles easily (Medusa meets Jerseylicious hair teasing disaster!)

* is red at the moment (which colour pigments and intensity are the most difficult to maintain!)

* has been re-coloured only a week ago.

* is used to Pantene Pro-V products, as I searched high and low for something that can tame my mane & especially get the tangles out!

Here are my thoughts on the CONDITIONER IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE:

1) Mmm smells great & feels great. Once again a little goes a long way!

2) Tried to untangle my hair with my fingers while conditioner is still in my hair and VOILA...easier than ever & so much easier than with Pantene (which I thought was the definite winner in this department). YAY, YIPPEE & SING HALLELUJA!!!!!!

3) Conditioner rinsed out easily & I could brush my hair out easier than ever! DO A HAPPY DANCE!

Here are my thoughts on the CONDITIONER THE DAY AFTER USE:

1) A soft, enticing, yummy smell, lifted from my hair as I was brushing it this morning.

2) My dry, coloured hair is softer than it HAS EVER BEEN! Softer than a new born puppy's nose ;-)...SOOOOFFT, Ladies!

3) With my usual Pantene routine, I use quite a lot of conditioner to UNTANGLE my unruly mane (sometimes resembling a witch's do that appeared to have been dragged backwards through a banana bush!). With Dove I only had to use such a little to obtain EVEN BETTER RESULTS!

So long story short:

a) no limp hair - oodles of volume (see pics)

b) curls seem bouncier than before (going BOING not BORING!)

c) hair is MUCH MORE MANAGEABLE! (Singing Mercy, Hallelujah & Happy Days are Here again!)

d) Here comes the BEST PART of all! Wait for it, ladies....NO LOSS OF COLOUR INTENSITY, like before! Hair seems even more vibrant (if that is at all possible). Makes it easy for my friends to find me in a crowd ;-).

FINAL VERDICT: DOVE ROCKS MY WORLD & addressed all my hair problems for the first time ever! Now all they need to do is stop testing their products on animals & I will be a happy puppy!

MY THOUGHTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE:

If I am honest I must admit that I prefer the normal conditioner for the following reasons:

* The Daily Conditioner does not cover as much hair as the normal conditioner (less cost effective)

* The feel & substance is not the same

* Smell is more subdued

* I left it in for 3 minutes & it did make my hair a bit limp & difficult to style

* I will have to decide tomorrow and the day after if it really had the positive effect that it claims, on my hair....SOOOOO the jury is still out on this product.


I am still in Love with the Dove Colour Radiance Shampoo & Conditioner.

* My hair still smelled great days after it was washed.

* Days after wash, it still looked healthy, moisturised & shiny

* Did not tangle nearly as easily as usual

* Still felt very clean several days after wash

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS THE DAY AFTER USE:

So, after I suggested that the Dove Colour Radiance Daily Conditioner does not impress me that much, my thoughts changed a bit.

Here are the reasons why:

* I was amazed to discover that my hair had plenty volume and my curls boing (see pics)

* My hair smelled great & felt silky soft (the dryness at the ends were gone)

* My overall hair condition felt revived & revamped.

* Initially, I was concerned when I saw some of the colour pigmentation washing away. The day after use my hair appeared to have a new vibrancy & dimension to my colour. (See pics & you can judge yourself!)

FINAL VERDICT:
Although I initially preferred the original Colour Radiance Conditioner, I found that the Dove Colour Radiance Daily Treatment Conditioner does have its rightful place in the range. It seems to work more overnight, than immediately like the normal conditioner does. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO BE USED AS PART OF THE RANGE.

The first thing i noticed about the Dove Colour Radiance Daily Treatment Conditioner was the fascinating white and pink colour of the actual conditioner. As you squeezed it out, it would start off with a white section, then become pink, then white again etc. - Almost like stripped toothpaste.

Anyway, I applied it to my hair, from the middle of my hair to the tips as was instructed. It was easy to apply and spread on my hair.

I washed it out easily, blew dry my hair and styled it.

My hair was definitely more vibrant and shiny in the sun. This conditioner helps to protect your hair from the sun as well to help slow down the sun's ability to strip the colour from your hair.

Unfortunately, I could not use this conditioner everyday, since I'm a black girl and don't wash my hair everyday.

The Dove Colour Radiance Conditioner contains micro moisture serum and fibre actives to strengthen and nourish your colour treated hair.

This conditioner was effective when it came to nourishing my hair and helping to stop the breakage that had been happening since I colour treated my hair.

This conditioner, together with the Dove Colour Radiance Shampoo helped to bring some life back to my hair.

* I would just like to say, before I begin, that I used this product in conjunction with the rest of the Dove Colour Radiance Range, and since it was developed as a system I would recommend using them that way for best results.

This conditioner locks in colour and shine, and you can feel it working as soon as you apply it. I wash my hair with the colour radiance shampoo first, then I squeeze out all of the excess water with my hands, then I apply this conditioner and comb it through my hair from just below my roots to my ends. afterwards I tie my hair in a loose bun and leave it on for 3 minutes before rinsing the conditioner out. It makes my hair so wonderfully soft and the light just bounces off my hair. It smells amazing and my hair is so much more manageable after using it. I love this conditioner and I could see a huge improvement in my hair after using it for only a week.

Having to colour my hair 6-8 weekly through necessity i sometimes have to sacrifice the condition of my hair.And then i often wonder whether all the nourishing rich repair products i buy will make up for its condition! This is an amazing range. The shampoo and conditioner work brilliantly. It leaves your hair soft, shiny and product free BUT I adore the leave in conditioner spray the best. I use it on gym days when drying is just too much effort. Soft, manageable hair with no fly-away hairs! Definitely a great buy and product!

This product has made me fall in love with Dove products all over again, official! Even though it’s been a while since I’ve last coloured my hair, I swear this conditioner has brought out some colour in my hair that I didn’t even know existed! Hands down, the Dove Colour Radiance Daily Treatment Conditioner is the best conditioner I’ve used in a long time.
