I always experience a lot fall out whenever I detangle my hair, but ever since I've been using the detangling butter, I don't experience any fallout, it nourishes my hair, helps with detangling and it leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturised.

I found the 4C Hair holy grail ? This is the best detangler I have ever used. It is sooo effective and just after my first use my hair was completely detangled, my hair was super soft and my curl pattern just intensified. I recommend this for anyone who struggles with knots or has to detangle their hair for hours on end. This is NOT a drill - it works!

This detangler is absolutely great. I used it as an overnight pre-poo treatment and it worked wonders. I have type 4 hair and it worked out my knots from an old twist out without that much hair shed. It has a creamy formula which gets absorbed by the hair really quickly.
I left it on overnight and it was easy to wash out. I didn't lose that much hair as usually do while washing. Definitely a new staple in my hair routine.

This hair detangling butter works like magic. My hair was dry and tangled after unplaiting the cornrows that I had for two weeks . I parted my hair into 4 sections and started applying the butter directly to dry hair and my hair felt so soft within seconds, I could easily comb through it. My hair loves this product. It made my hair wash day much easier and faster. Washing it wasn’t a problem because my hair was properly detangled and soft.

First things first ? You guys know i love TRESemme and i am a fan. It has been a priveledge for me to work on a new product range with TRESemme and guess what?…It only gets better.
Now the honest truth is that i think i have found my favourite TRESemme product. You will have to guess which one it is. My queens with curly hair would know. It is magical for kids that are scared to comb their hair. i tried it on my 6 year old niece. The de-tangler is amazing.

Not really sure where to begin on reviewing this product, from the packaging or the end results?
Ladies, this is it! I’m new to the natural Afro world, and have been struggling with having to detangle my hair, especially before styling. I personally have 4C type hair, and we all know how it’s a hassle to detangle and style due to how coarse and curly 4C type hair is.
Thank you to TRESemmé and Beauty Bulletin for selecting me for this project, when I received my package it was nothing but pure bliss. I could smell before opening the package it smelled amazing. I received 3 products (pre-wash detangling butter, Oil Mist and Hair Food)
My review today is on the detangling butter. And because I dislike detangling my hair I’ve only ever done it once this year (also due to the amount of hair I lose when I detangle). I used the butter exactly as instructed on the product and from the beginning it smells divine. Ultimately it left my hair smelling fresh, and most importantly detangled my hair for styling afterwards and with just lesser hair loss than before using the product.

When I say your knots melt in 2 seconds, believe me. I'm not one to say something is good when it isn't. I love the effectiveness of this product. It makes my hair soft just before I wash it and it defines my coils like nobody's business. Absolutely love this detangling butter. It would be nice if it came in a bigger tub though :)

I have honestly been loving the detangling better over the last few weeks! It's fitted really well into my hair care routine, and has helped with tangling some knots I usually get. My hair is quite thick and dry so love how its moisturised my hair. For only R79.99 its such a bargain.

This butter has officially become an essential in my natural hair routine! Out of the 3 products I received this one is my absolute favourite and gave me great results! I apply it to my ends and massage it upwards and it just melts my knots and tangles right away. Leaves my hair defined and suppppper SOFT!

I dread wash day as my hair is mostly in plaits (winter) or a week or so after I've done twists or bantu knots so there's tangles galore! I'm not a fan of pre poo so I looked forward to using this pre-wash detangling butter because my hair actually loves butter. I applied the product and left it on for about 20-30 minutes (in all honesty I started watching a movie and forgot about it). When I eventually removed the shower cap my hair was soft and easy to detangle. Wash day became an official no-tear zone and I'm here for that. This has been my absolute favourite product from this range as it makes sense for natural hair to have something like this. It showcases that as a brand Tresemme actually listened and gave us what we wanted, kudos to them for that.

My pre-wash routine before using this product was an overnight treatment of conditioner and an oil. Thanks to this product I will no longer be doing that. This Butter is amazing. Generous amounts are used and left in your sectioned hair for about 20 minutes, and washed off before you shampoo. During that time you’ll see how defined your natural curl pattern becomes and how much easier to manipulate your hair becomes ( I mean you’re seeing results before you’ve even washed it off). I loved the experience, of working with my hair without any difficulties, not to mention how soft and fluffy your hair feels without compromising your gorgeous curls. LISTEN - it’s a personal favourite of mine.

This is definitely the hero of the Botanic range. I have never used a detangling butter before and this has changed my life. My extremely kinky hair did not need a comb during my application of this product. It also smells incredibly good.
The only con is that a bigger jar would be ideal because you can finish the jar in one or two uses.

I had braids for about 3 weeks and it was my first time trying braids so when I took it out my hair had a lot of knots, it just so happened that I received the detangling butter the day before so I tried it out and it became part of my wash days.
The butter softens your hair to the point where it feels like you're having a deep conditioning treatment on your hair, it helped so much with the knots, in terms of me not losing any hair like I would've if I simply detangled without the butter.
I ran out of it not long and had to restock.
I absolutely recommend this, esp to my curly/wavy/coily girls. Your hair will love you for it.

I dislike detangling so much however the Pre wash detangling butter is absolutely amazing!! I love how quick and easy it is to detangle my hair leaving it soft and moisturized with no curling cream needed after you washed your hair. This product has officially become my best friend.

I have 4c hair and combing my hair has always been a nightmare. I used the detangling brush but even with that I would still get those knots there and there. This was my favourite product on this range. I have 4C coarse natural hair and I never find a detangler that detangles and also acts as a hair treatment until this product. I just wish the size was bigger than what it is, It was a little bit too small for my hair, used it a couple of times and it finished quickly.

The pre-detangling butter is a must have, especially when you have type 4b/c hair like mine. My hair gets dry and knotty very easily and since I've used the pre-detangling butter it made the detangling process much easier. I usually use a wide tooth comb to detangle my hair but with the the pre-detangling butter I could use my fingers. It leaves my hair soooo soft and it smells amazing.

I absolutely LOVED this product and the effect it had on my hair. I noticed less breakage within the first few uses and it has certainly made my hair more manageable. Less breakage has also resulted in more growth in the past few months than I have seen in the past year of my hair transformation.
I have recommended this product more frequently than the other two as it has made the most difference and has become an integral part of my wash day routine. I don't wash my hair without first using the Detangling Butter anymore and I look forward to purchasing it every month.
My only critique is, I wish it was sold in a larger size pot for convenience-sake. I buy two every month.

The Tresemme Botanic Pre-wash Detangling Butter was my ultimate fave to try out!
I struggle a lot with hair loss (as thick and full as my hair is), but when I started using the Tresemme Botanic Pre-wash Detangling Butter, the hair loss was less frequent. Honestly wasn't expecting it to help for reasons other than the ones provided in the instructions, so I was super impressed by this!
I also started using it as a protector just before spritzing the Oil Mist on my curl. For that extra oomph, you know?
The fragrance was an added bonus as well!
I struggle a lot with hair loss (as thick and full as my hair is), but when I started using the Tresemme Botanic Pre-wash Detangling Butter, the hair loss was less frequent. Honestly wasn't expecting it to help for reasons other than the ones provided in the instructions, so I was super impressed by this!
I also started using it as a protector just before spritzing the Oil Mist on my curl. For that extra oomph, you know?
The fragrance was an added bonus as well!

I just love this product! i didnt only use it as a pre shampoo product, I used it as a leave in and simply as a moisturizing conditioner to detangle my hair! This has definitely become a staple hair product!
