I. totally didn't expect this to work on my amazon thick 4C hair but yerrrr! it worked, i was tempted to add stuff to it to "help" it but so glad I did not.

This is a must have product for all natural sisters.Detangling was a breeze in less than 10 minutes i was done detangling my hair without saying uummmm or ouch. It's nicely scented too.

My hair is quite coarse and coily so you can imagine how much of a struggle it is to comb. The TRESemmé Botanic Pre-Wash Detangling Butter makes my wash day routine much easier - it helps detangle my hair while protecting and nourishing. Pre-wash Detangling Butter and coarse hair make the baddest team. I mean its winter and all you wanna do is to keep having protective hairstyles so plaiting and having to just comb hair after unplaiting is no game so Pre-wash Detangling Butter made everything a walk in the park.

This is BY FAR the best detangling butters I've used for my hair! Its unbelievably great at getting to work in combing out my hair knots. Loved loved loved this butter! This is one of the best in the hair care range and my absolute fav! It instantly de-tangles the hair and the hair is soft as ever! This product was by far, the best hair care product I have ever tried. I absolutely loved it. The way it made my hair as soft and healthy, like it had never been damaged before. It left my hair feeling natural and the smell is so lovely. I literally recommend this product to everyone that compliments me about my hair, and that is basically everyone. why everyone? Well... who does not want to know how to get your hair looking this gorgeous and healthy everyday? I was very excited when I heard about this product as I suffer from very tangled hair as well has extreme breakage. I like that it’s a pre-wash routine, which means that your hair is left manageable for the rest of your wash. On my first application I struggled to comb the product through dry hair and suffered from A LOT of breakage, I then experimented with dampening my hair after I had left the product on for three minutes and then combing through and this worked A LOT better for me. It makes your hair feel like silk which means it’s easy to comb through without much hassle.

If I could give this product 10 stars - I would!
Quality - the consistency of the product and the slip is 100s for any mask type product that needs to coat ALL your hair and stay on for a period of time. The slip is enough to spread along the hair strand without running out of product half way through. I don't like dipping dirty hands into my products too many times so I loved this.
Effectiveness: I am a type 2b/3a with medium length hair, my sister is a type 1/2a with long hair and my mom is a 3c/4 with medium length hair. This product detangled each of our hair effortlessly with minimal breakage.
Price: The only reason I rated the price as a 4 is because my family has a lot of hair this product doesn't last longer than a month with once a week detangling. Too much of a good thing can be bad (for my pocket) but it's 100% worth it.

I absolutely love this product. I have very course 4c hair which can get tangled easily when braided. The Detangling Butter detangles my hair without causing breakage and makes it easier for me to wash and style afterwards. Will be purchasing it in future.

I have 4c type hair & that means knots, tangled & more knots for me. I loathe washing my hair coz I’d lose so much of it in the process of trying to detangle it. But let me just say this product is amazing, the comb just slides through my hair, waited about 5 minutes after applying it to my hair & wow. This is the best detangling butter I have ever tried in years. The first time I used it it, I used it as a detangling butter and also a co-wash and it left my hair so soft. Then I had braids for 3 weeks and washing my hair was going to be a nightmare but I applied the butter to my hair and after 20 min did my wash day routine and my hair was soft and detangled so easily without hassle.

Self-care Sunday is when I really dedicate myself to washing my hair properly, and if you know me I'm terrified on knots and combs - the detangling butter really at getting my hair ready when it came to combing out the knots in my hair. Although the textures of the butter is quite thick for my liking it did an amazing job.

I'm a little underwhelmed with this product. I expected it to have a little more slip than it does. You also have to use quite a bit for thick natural hair. Feels a lot like using the tresemme conditioner.

i love this range of products, it smells amazing, makes my hair feel amazing. But my one issue is the detangling butter, i don't know if I'm the only one that experienced it but the butter may smell nice and make my hair soft but it doesnt exactly make the process of combing my hair out any easy. It doesn't necessarily make it worse, i guessthis product is great if you want your hair soft.

out of 5 This was a very confusing product to incorporate into my regimen because i didnt know where the prepoo would fit in! Nonetheless for what its made for it works! It detanlges the hair strands and as well makes washing easier. Its a bit too thick for my liking... considering the considerable amount that one needs to apply according to hair length and thickness
