Hello again! So today’s review is all about hair and the wonderful and most awesome Tangle Teezer. It is an award winning detangling brush that effortlessly combs out the tangles and knots in your hair with minimum damage, pain or hair loss. It is the brain child of celebrity hair stylist Shaun P and was developed in Great Britain. I have thin hair strands, but LOTS of them. I also have very long hair. I can brush my hair now, and a second later it knots again. Originally, I barely brushed my hair due to this problem, but working in a professional environment, one can’t walk around with your bed head. (boohoo) My colleague and friend recommended I try Tangle Teezer, as she has witnessed the epic struggle with just combing my hair. Eventually I gave in, and I ordered it. AND OH MY WORD, it was worth it. It has fine little flexible plastic bristles that somehow glides over, then through knots and tangles, without having to tug and pull and basically consider cutting your hair again… You can use it on wet or dry hair, and works with any hair type. You can even massage your head with it – HAHA! It is available in a variety of colours, and you can purchase it at hair salons, or online. It retails for anything between R150 – R250 (depending on the seller), but whatever – IT IS WORTH IT. This brush has also been called a “godsend” by mothers, as it really helps with decreasing the drama when brushing out tangles of crazy busy kiddies’ hair. Honestly the best hair brush I have ever bought. I have long, thick hair and I have no problem getting through my hair with this, no matter how knotty it is. It doesn’t break/damage my hair at all. I can even use it on my 5 year old sister with no moaning - it gets knots out with no pain! Will definitely buy another one when mine has had enough (going on 3 years strong now!). Definitely worth the price tag.

Even though it was really painful paying more than R300 for a brush (I'd never paid more than R30 before), I got the wet one and it has saved my hair in the shower! It is so effortless and leaves my hair feeling so smooth that I even got the kiddies one for my daughter - anyone with daughters knows how hectic their hair can be! You hair will definitely love you for this one. I recommend it for all types of hair - I have thick, frizzy hair and my daughter has thick straight hair.

This brush is THE BOMB!
I have naturally curly, frizzy and dry hair - which can be an absolute nightmare to brush. this brush has made it SO easy, it doesn't yank or pull on my hair and manages to get the tangles out without pulling half of my hair out! You can use it if your hair is wet or dry. I actually bought another one to keep in my shower to brush my conditioner through my hair.
I even bought one for my little sister - you know how much kids cry and moan when they have to brush their tangles out, and it has just made life SO much easier.
I would definitely recommend this brush to anyone!

My hair is frizzy and knots all the time and combing through it always results in substantial hair loss. Whether my hair is freshly washed or dried combing it is a painful effort.
In comes the Tangle Teezer... This has made my life so much easier. No more pain and hair loss for me through brushing and combing knots. I wish I had started using the tangle Teezer sooner but now that I am, I won't stop.

I have an afro and it works really well to detangle and doesn't break your hair like other brushes do. Its very expensive though and you do find cheaper products that are similar. The only issue I have with this product is its price, the price is certainly not justified.

For only R 10 you can have tangle free hair! I bought mine at takealot for only R 10. Yes R 10! and it combs like a dream without pulling out my hair and massages my scalp.
I have less frizz and more curls.

I have self inflicted chemical damaged hair and use NOTHING else to detangle my hair! This is the only brush that doesnt cause my hair to break off badly and i LOVE it!

I have super-fine and fragile hair and this is one of the first brushes that I can use when my hair is wet without pulling out chunks of hair. It definitely does what it says – detangler extraordinaire!

Fantastic hair brush.
I have a thick head of curly hair and use to hate brushing my hair as the tangles were painful to get out. This brush works perfectly and does not pull on the hair which prevents breakage and split ends. It also comes in a range of funky colours. I have even bought one for my Yorkie for his long tangle prone hair and he loves it.

My hair would be so so so sad if i didn't own one of these babies. This has helped a lot for my tangle prone hair and its so gentle. My little nephew has curly hair and never cries or complains when I use this but use anything else...Tears lol

Some may say that spending R230 on what basically looks like a kiddies brush is a waste. But a waste it is not!

This little miracle worker was the reason I did not have to cut off my long locks, after getting ridiculously stubborn tangles. It is very forgiving on tangles, so it is great for people with a low pain threshold (like me). It's a bit pricey - I bought mine for R220, but it is definitely an investment! Easy to clean, no nooks and crannies. Just wash it in the sink/bath/shower.

I purchased this Tangle Teezer a while ago from Takealot as they were having a special and it was R129 including shipping - a good deal that I just could not pass up! I think they are still running the special now.
This is the compact one, but it fits well in the palm of my hand, and I don't really see how getting the regular-sized one would be better for me. It comes with a handy cover for the bristles, meaning it can go into your handbag without messing them up.
The bristles themselves are all different heights, and are made from flexible plastic. They do work exceptionally well at removing tangles from your hair, whether it is wet or dry. Normally I don't like to comb my hair when it is wet as I don't want to damage it, but I don't feel that the Tangle Teezer does damage my hair.
For those of you with long hair, or thick hair, or with children who hate having their hair brushed because it hurts, the Tangle Teezer is just for you!
Tangle Teezer also claim that there is less hair loss when using their product, and although this could be the case (I never really measured with a regular brush), there was still some hair loss for me. But that is inevitable I guess - our hair is meant to shed!
All in all this is a very successful product and combs through knotty hair easily, and more importantly, completely pain-free.

In 2013 I highlighted my hair at a hair dressers, unfortunately something went wrong and the reaction my hair had was to instantly tangle from the root to the tip, anytime I did anything, to Mae brushing or combing my hair an impossibility. I tried pretty much every product I could think of to try and tame my hair, unfortunately nothin worse.
I decided to suck it up and order a Tangle Teezer, I was hesitant because it is a rather expensive hair brush to buy and I was nervous that it wouldn't work. I eventually got to the stage that I would pay anything to get hair without knots and tangles. I purchased my Tangle Teezer for R170 from Take a Lot, incl postage.
I was hesitant to use the brush at first, because I was so used to a painful and long procedure of trying to brush my hair.
I sucked up all the courage I could and brushed my hair, it was miraculous, you are advised to start from the tips and move up to the roots which is what I did. I experienced a 100% pain free hair brushing, the tangles were lightly massaged out of my hair and I was left with smooth! tangle free locks with (a bonus) shine.
I've used the Tangle Teezer wet and dry and it is a life changing hair brush that will make any problem hair beautiful and untangled. I have even suggested it to my friends with kids as it is a dream to use, a friend of mine (African) only uses it on her hair and has the best results. Basically this brush will work with any hairstyle, hair style and hair length.

I was rather sceptical about this brush because it didn't look all that special to me, but I was really blown away by it. This is truly a very versatile brush. I use this in the bath, when I am blowdrying my hair and for everyday brushing. I really find this to be an all purpose brush that works wonders. It untangles hair very easily with very little pain and I also find that I don't end up with a thousand strand of hairs in the brush after use. With other brushes my hair fall is rather alarming (granted I am still battling with my iron deficiency) but this brush truly is a log gentler on my hair.
Another thing I really love is that this is so easy to clean. While washing my hair I take this into the bath or shower with me and use it to brush through my conditioner. Afterwards I give it a quick wash and it's good as new.
