This is my all time favourite mascara at the moment. I love the fact that with the short bristles you can reach the roots of your eyelashes, this ensures that you can apply thick coats that do not look clumpy. It is also really build-able.

Another one of my prize goodies (yaaay:)
As I am currently using the Prevage lash and brow enhancing serum, I thought it only fitting to used The Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Lash Enhancing Mascara with it (for maximum benefit and results).
Mascara is a daily staple for me, I love thick, long and lucious lashes, and this mascara delivers to the max!
The wand is fairly thin and long, I wasn't expecting much when looking at it, but boy was I wrong.. The wand actually separates each individual lash, coating it in the process and even reaching the inner and outer corners effectively. It is also great for using on the bottom lashes - giving the same awesome drama without the mess.
The Formula itself is thick and extremely easy to apply (and to remove). I wear contact lenses so it is gentle on the eye area, I find that it does not smudge or clump. I find that towards the end of the day it does flake ever so slightly, but something I will gladly over look for the mere fact that this mascara delivers, talk about sexy, sultry come to bed eyes in a tube! this is it!
I have no pushed aside my normal mascara for this little beauty... I will definitely be getting another tube once this has finished!

I was introduced to EA products last year and I am so impressed with them that I almost want every product they produce. But alas, the high prices (at least for my budget) keep me away from them. On a trip to my nearest Clicks I just happen to browse the mags shelf, and saw this very familiar looking red and gold packaging with ELLE magazine. On closer inspection it was EA Mascara. It was a 3ml tube which works out to around R85 (based on the original price of R185). Price of the mag- R30. Now being a frugal buyer that I am (ok I try to be ;-)) and getting a chance to try EA product for R30, I could hardly resist.
Even though the tube is travel size, the wand is same as that of the full size product. I am head-over-heels in love with this mascara. It light, no-clumping, lash-enhancing, curler and lash separator. I say all in one. The color is 01 Black. It stayed for the entire day with no smudging. And comes out easily with makeup remover/olive oil.
I am definitely going to get a couple of ELLE mags to stock up on this amazing mascara. Highly recommend it!!!

As far as mascaras go, many claim to promise you the most amazing eyelashes in the world yet few manage to deliver, however I can happily say that Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara hits the nail on the head!
I love the rectangular shape, the sharp edges and the striking gold colour of the mascara tube, it all lends a whiff of luxury, glam and opulence which every woman needs in her life! I like the understated elegance of the packaging, a plain gold mascara tube with a simple telling Red Door logo that is printed on the lid of the mascara tube. You can’t help but feel that you’re holding a solid gold bar of beauty heaven. This mascara doesn’t need to brandish its greatness on the mascara tube itself, all is said on the exterior packaging box.
The wand is easy to handle, sturdy and felt very comfortable in my hand when applying the mascara. I am a diehard lover of multiple coats of mascara to pump up the drama of my eyelashes, however I found with this mascara one or two coats of mascara was more than sufficient to achieve my desired bold look.
I adore the lightweight formula of this mascara, I was able to apply this mascara with ease and there was not a clump in sight. The mascara formula was a good consistency, never dried out and never needed an extra pump of the mascara wand to get the desired amount of mascara onto the mascara wand head. I also loved that the mascara wand head was small enough to allow me to easily manoeuvre into the inner and outer corners of my eyes thus allowing me to coat those tiny eyelashes with mascara. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara is well pigmented and leaves you with the blackest of black eyelashes. As this mascara left my eyelashes well defined and separated there was no need for me to reach for my eyelash comb to separate my eyelashes. Another huge plus for this mascara was the long wear that it provided. It lasted well into 10 hour plus days without needing a touch up and didn’t once flake or start crumbling off my eyelashes. This was not a stubborn mascara to remove, as I was able to easily remove this mascara with a gentle make-up remover.
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara promises that it ‘immediately volumizes, lengthens and curls lashes’ and it is marketed on the Elizabeth Arden website as ‘beautiful color fuses with care’. I found that this mascara did volumize my eyelashes, it definitely lengthened my eyelashes and did provide a much needed curl to my eyelashes. This mascara provides the ‘care’ with the triple peptide complex and carob tree extract which is included in its magic formula. A mascara that delivers long, luscious, voluminous, curled eyelashes with 1 sweep of the mascara wand while providing my eyelashes with health benefits to boot, I’d say that’s a win!
Overall I was very happy with this product, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to invest in a quality mascara that will deliver on its promises. Retailing at R195 is a bargain for what you will gain, get ready to start fluttering those gorgeous eyelashes! A must-have product if you are looking to spoil yourself at a bargain price and indulge your eyelashes in one of the best mascaras around!

I've been using Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Colour Lash-Enhancing Mascara for some time now - three weeks to be exact - and I am impressed.
I've purposefully held out on writing this review because, in all fairness, I thought, There must be something negative about this mascara. But, in all honesty, it's absolutely perfect!
I'll take you back to the day I received my package. I was thrilled to find the glossy, rectangular-shaped tube with the iconic Red Door logo - so glamorous and luxe, I knew I was in for a treat!
As I first applied the mascara, what struck me was the way it glided on smoothly and evenly, separating each of the lashes perfectly. I have naturally fine, sparse lashes but after application, the lashes appeared thicker and fuller. Even more impressive, there were no clumps to speak of!
I have been a life-long devotee of Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara but my only gripe about it was always the clumps. Not so with this product - I had individually defined, full lashes, even after three coats! But I think best of all, it didn't look as if I was wearing mascara - only big, open, bright eyes.
I also wear contact lenses so I would usually expect my lids to feel heavy by the end of the day after wearing mascara. But I can honestly say that this product felt weightless and natural. Another issue with contacts and mascara, is that the eyes become itchy after wearing it for some time. With this mascara though, there was no no irritation to speak of.
I often insert eye drops throughout the day to keep my eyes moist. And, although this product is not waterproof, I simply needed to wipe underneath my eye to get rid of moisture and my eyes looked great again. There were no tell-take black flakes surrounding the lash line at all.
This product has truly simplified my beauty routine. I've lightened up on my eye make-up because I really like the natural, bright-eyed effect I achieve with only a few coats of this mascara.
Elizabeth Arden have really outdone themselves with this product. And at R195 per tube, they have definitely found a repeat customer in me!

Hands down, one of the greatest mascara’s I have tried so far. It separates like a dream and it does not clump. I achieved full, long and separated lashes. It feels very light on the lashes and I would always forget that I was wearing any mascara. A lot of the time I feel that mascara is too heavy and my lashes fee weighted but not with this formulation. The product also lives up to claim of no flaking. By then end of the day my lashes looked as good as it did when I first applied without the dreaded black bits on my face and I was not attacked by dreaded Panda Eyes. The drying time of this mascara was excellent and it cleaned off really easily. Sometimes I didn’t even use makeup remover and simply washed it off it the shower (yes, I was being lazy). The brush is really fine and deposits the mascara from root to tip. This is a great brush if you want to only build up your lashes in the root so it’s great for achieving a very trend based lash. The packaging is sleek,attractive and expensive looking and oozes luxury. It retails for R195 which is pretty good value considering how effective this mascara is, it's well worth it. This is a FANTASTIC all purpose mascara.

I am actually very surprised by how much I love this mascara. For a long time now I have been on the search for the ultimate mascara. One that lengthens and thickens but will not smudge or weigh down my eyelashes. Just before testing this one I was reviewing another high end brand's mascara and thought I had found the one until using this one!
The packaging is sleek and elegant. It has a heavy luxurious weighted feel to the container.
I am an old fashioned girl when it comes to a mascara brush, I don't want a big fluffy one or a spiky one or even a vibrating one (can't even remember that brand but it was apparently revolutionary at the time). I like a basic wand that does the job.
Formula wise this is brilliant, dark and long-lasting but no clumpiness what-so-ever.
My lashes are naturally quite long but aren't very dark or thick hence why sometimes I will use same size eyelash extension to achieve that darker thicker look and once I had applied this mascara it honestly looked as if I has extensions on.

This mascara is the height of sophistication and every woman’s dream come true! Whether you’re looking for exceptional coverage, curling, length or volume; this mascara can do it all. The formula is magical and glides on super smooth. The combination of the formula and the brush means no clumps left on your eyelashes. Thanks to their new formula in this mascara, in one swipe lashes are also strengthened.
The packaging is equally appealing as the product itself. The canister is firstly square in shape, which is very new and attractive for mascara. This gives the product a very modern, edgy feel but still keeping with the clean lines and appeal of Elizabeth Arden products. It is in full gold with the signature Red Door logo on the lid, this just screams luxury. The applicator is fully black; this is quite nice as it offers a neat look instead of having your white applicator stem full of mascara. The brush has very fine spaced out bristles that manage to leave no eyelash un-covered. I will feel rather gloomy when having to throw away this beautiful looking mascara canister.

This is an excellent mascara. Well-priced with glorious results. No clumping, it doesn't dry and lengthens and thickens lashes to the point that they look amazing! This is a mascara I will be buying again and again!

It does not clump and there is no flaking. This mascara is also a true black. You can apply one layer for the day but at night you can layer this mascara to make your eyes really pop. The brush is the perfect size and you can really get to those hard to reach lashes.
An added bonus to this phenomenal mascara is that it contains a triple peptide complex, that protects lashes and is clinically proven to enhance the look of lash length, density and curl with continued use.
