I must say I was extremely excited to receive this product. Although I love wearing a natural colour lipgloss, I don't often buy one because I end up losing it!

Here are my thoughts....

1. The look
The packaging is great- really chic and luxurious. The shiny gold lid of the gloss oozes sophistication, and the mirror on the side is an awesome new addition. I haven't seen this on a gloss or lipstick before and I think it's ingenious. I now have a little mirror in my MAC blusher and a little mirror on my Elizabeth Arden gloss- sorted!

2. Wearing it
The gloss is thick, but not too thick. I often find it tricky to wear a gloss when my hair is not tied up, as it get's stuck to my lips! But with this Elizabeth Arden gloss, I have not found this to be a problem at all. Another thumbs up. I also found I did not need to re-apply as much as with other glosses.

3. The smell
Mmmmmm, vanilla! The gloss smells gorgeous, and you have a lovely sweet vanilla aroma following you around all day.

4. The colour
I absolutely love this colour for a light, natural look. It's definitely a day colour, as it is too pale for the evening. But with a bit of a tan and some lovely blusher on the cheeks, it looks great!

5. Any drawbacks?
My only criticism of this gloss would be the brush. The neck of the bottle is quite tight around the brush, which means not enough of the gloss comes out on the brush when you pull it out! It is also fairly pricey- but I reckon it's worth it.


All in all, a great gloss!

I received this lipgloss to review from Beauty Bulletin and when I opened my package, I was very excited that it was an Elizabeth Arden product but I was very afraid because it was a lipgloss. I am a lipstick person and I only wear matte lipsticks. I have braces so I do not like to draw attention to my mouth and I also do not like the stickiness of lipgloss in general. Once I had applied this lipgloss though, it was a completely different story.

Firstly, the packaging is stunning. The lid of the gloss is gold with the Elizabeth Arden logo printed on it and the bottom half is see through and contains the gloss. There is also a mirror on the side which makes it so much easier when you are packing a bag. You no longer have to carry a mirror and a gloss!

The gloss itself is a very pretty red color. I have always been a fan of red lipstick so the color is very appealing to me. Once you open this gloss, the smell will hit you. It smells of vanilla and it is divine.
Once applied, I was very surprised to see that it was very pigmented and made my lips a very bright and gloss red. I always assumed gloss just tints your lips while making them shine. The color is not a very bright red so I can see how it would suit a variety of skin tones.
The lipgloss was not sticky at all. This is definitely a plus for me. It felt more like a very hydrating lip balm on my lips while still looking like a lip gloss.

The gloss contains four Key ingredients:

• Mango Butter and Shea Butter: lock-in moisture, protect and soothe lips
• Maxi-Lip™: Supports natural collagen for firmer looking, smoother and more defined lips
• Super Sterol Ester: Softens and moisturizes lips
• Vegetal Emollients: Provide extended wear and condition lips

I can definitely say that the lipgloss does everything it claims. Its definitely moisturizing, it does give an overall smooth look and effect to your lips and it lasts quite long. I cannot comment on whether it rubbed onto my teeth or not because my braces prevents that from happening (at least thats a perk of having braces!).
This gloss is definitely going into my evening makeup bag. I absolutely love it!

I love love love red lip gloss! The look, the feel, the EVERYTHING! I don’t think anything is sexier than a pair of bold red lips to complete your makeup look. I tried and tested Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in Red Door Red 02. This product is officially my holy grail of red lip gloss!

Silky smooth in texture, rich in colour and with the most lustrous shine, this lip gloss truly has it all! The actual lip gloss is not sticky. In fact, it sits very comfortably on the lips, and hydrated and conditioned my lips in a noticeable way.

I must admit though, the one quality that really stood out for me about this lip gloss was its vanilla scent. I was so tempted to lick my lips because of how edible this lip gloss smells!

The soft tip paddle applicator made applying this lip gloss so simple. It got to all the right places and didn’t mess at all. But, the best part about the packaging of this lip gloss has to be its built-in mirror! It’s perfect and convenient for on-the-go application.

Sadly, I did find that the lip gloss got onto my teeth as I wore it.

Nonetheless, this is still a great lip gloss. It may be pricey, but it’s worth every cent. I would recommend Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in Red Door Red to all the red lip and bold colour lip lovers.
