This stuff is so good if you have scars or strech marks it moisturizes beautifully and removes any scars or marks.. it has a rich cocoa butter smell which I'm not a big fan off but none the less the results it leaves can make one stick the cocoa butter scent
So as the title says I've been using this ever since my mom recommended it. She swears by this! and now i do too. Its not only super moisturizing but it doesn't have that awful medicated smell that most brands of cocoa butter products have. In fact it smells amazing
My skin has never been softer and smoother. I've also tried it on an old scar of mine and its considerably lightened it ... it does however take time like anything else.
But for the affordable time i can stick out the wait
This product was recommended to me by my sister in law , i must say I am very impressed . It has a great chocolate cocoa smell and is nice and thick which will be great in the winter months as well I enjoy applying it as soon as I get out of the shower . I have noticed a reduction in some scars so definitely works for me .
I also got my son a bottle , great for healing up scars on them as well .
Overall it is very affordable and a good quality item .
Palmers is and will always be a wonderful product for stretchmarks and scars but it is also great for plain moisturizing. It makes your skin even tone and provides a soft sheen to it. It smells great and it's luxurious creamy formulae will make you want more and more. One application is enough to moisturised your skin !!!
The scent of this is very nostalgic as it takes me back to my school days. Cocoa butter was our firm favorite and I remember applying it to scars and it would actually fade them. I started using this lotion in winter and I must say it does replenish and restore moisture and makes skin feel soft and smooth and healthy . I especially love the scent of cocoa butter as well. One of my favorite moisturisers.
I associate this scent with pregnancy. All of Palmer's products are exceptionally nourishing and offer the absolutely best moisture. I really love the cocoa butter scent. I highly recommend for during winter, to restore lost moisture and to lengthen tans during the summer!
My late sister was obsessed with this product & every time she did the groceries this product would be on the list!
We got used to it in that sense & we had no choice since we were still at school had no views at oil but looking back I think it was a good choice indeed the thing is i got used to the cocoa butter scent & ended up hating it in a way!
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is enriched with Vitamin C which is good for the skin.
One of the best cocoa butter lotions out there- I find it superior to other lotion brands like Nivea, Vaseline, OSH etc. I have been using this for years without any disappointment. It absorbs easily into the skin without leaving any residue and has a non-overpowering chocolatey scent. Great for use in summer and winter. Excellent for lightening scars. I also use it on my face without any side effects. Price: R40 at Dischem
I absolutely LOVE this! I used to suffer from eczema on my thighs, shins and wrists but since I tried Palmers about a year ago, my eczema has not flared up since. Truly a divine product. Smells great and is not greasy.
Best body moisturiser on the market! I've used it for years and am sure I will continue to do so for many years to come.
It's a rich cream but still light and easily spread. It's the only cream I've ever found that defeats the Jozi winter dryness. In summer I use the Olive one as it's much lighter but still very moisturising.
I never really used it with the express purpose of fading stretchmarks so I really can't comment on the efficacy of it in that area. However, it does smooth the skin where I have little bumps and dry patches.
Stretchmarks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh no i want them all gone like yesterday!!!But patience does it.So after hearing a lot about this product, i purchased it a month ago and i honestly say it was so worth it. I feel that it absorbs very quickly, its not thick but light and creamy. It has lightened my stretchmarks which is a huge plus for me and i will continue to use it.Awesome fragrance so yummy and it stays on my skin the entire day. Its also quite reasonably priced for such an awesome product.
Mmmmm I love this product! The smell, the feel of it, how easily it absorbs and most importantly how it makes my skin feel and look. The difference is noticeable. *Goes back to smelling the lotion*
This product is amazing. It nourishes my dry skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and supple. It is priced just right - really affordable. I love the small bottles as they are great to pop in your handbag. The only negative is that the scent is a bit overwhelming - not unpleasant, but just a bit too strong for my liking.
This is one of the best body lotions available on the market. I started using palmers cocoa butter lotion a while ago and I must say, I am extremely pleased with this product. It has managed to even out my skin tone especially on my elbow and knee area which has been relatively dark due to hiperpigmentation. I use the lotion twice a day after showering and it moisturizes my skin so well without making it oily. The scent is amazing, I love it! This product is a keeper and I would recommend it to anyone who wants even tone. The only problem with this lotion is that it is a bit too thick and this often makes it difficult to pump the lotion out of the bottle. Overally, I give this product 5 stars!
I usually find this product quite costly and have therefore never tried it before, but after it went on special, I bought 2 of them and have no regrets (apart from myself not buying more when it was on special, hehe). I got the 500ml with the pump-release which makes it very convenient to use. I counted, and for my entire body- I use 3 squirt fulls and am good to go. This Cocoa Butter Formula lasts from the morning, after I shower, till the night when I shower again and apply after. Usually the cocoa butter scent is a bit overwhelming for me and gives me a headache, but this one is simply divine! A must use.
PS: Use under arms at night to reduce dark marks and on feet and elbows to keep your skin well moisturized.
I received a tiny sample of this cream. I did not like the smell the first few times I used it. It smelled faintly of nuts, old almost musty nuts. Like something on a forest floor decaying. I did not smell the chocolate in the beginning. And then after about the third of fourth use I started to love the smell, chocolately and warm and nutty and nice. Now I smile whenever I smell it.
The real value of this cream lies in the fact that it is a thick cream, good enough for either a hand cream or a body cream. It is thick, non-oily and easily absorbed. The cream is as luxurious and much more expenisive creams. It reminds me of Shea Butter containing body butters. The bottle is hard to use though, my big bottle is still more than half full and I really need to squeeze to get something out.
It is sold in Clicks and DisChem and reasonably priced, R30 for a 250 ml bottle.
I like it so much that I went out and bought a bottle when my little sample ran out. I had to search a bit before I found some and I bought it even though I had two full bottles of body cream at home. I also discovered that Dischem sold small 50 ml bottles for R8 and I bought 7 of my friends little bottles as well. Hoping to spread some cheer around.
I've been using palmers cocoa butter since a cousin of mine introduced me, ever since then i've bee using and have seen positive results on my skin. great product
I've been a fan of Palmer's for some time now ever since I got a small travel size bottle of the cocoa butter formula years ago. I always kept that in my handbag for those times when you leave the house realising your hands look like dragon claws!
After that bottle finished I never got another one until recently and I must say, the formula is still as great as I remember! The consistency and colour changed a bit, but it still does a good job! It really does what it says - 'heals & softens rough, dry skin' it is especially great on dry patches of your body and also for moisturising hands that are washed waaay too often! (In my case that is everyday!) It can be quite greasy at times, but usually if you give it a few minutes it will absorb well and leave your hands/body smooth and soft. A little goes a long way, so use it sparingly.
Some people find the smell too overwhelming - I personally love the smell. It is after all a cocoa butter formula so you wouldn't expect anything less than a rich cocoa-butter scent! I've heard that Palmer's has created a scent-free version of this so that will be great for those who like the cream but not the scent. I would love to give it a try - it might come in handy when you don't want the scent to overpower another scent you're wearing etc.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product and keep buying it. It is usually well priced at DisChem and lasts a really long time so it is worth it!
I feel the total opposite about this product Arthi. I love the fact that just a little bit of this product keeps my skin soft for the entire day. I use it religiously, I even bought me the oil, as well as the body butter.
Wanted to try some products from Palmer's and bought a small 50ml bottle of Palmer's coco butter formula from Dischem. Now for ladies sensitive to strong fragrances, this is not your product. It has a nutty smell, which may not be liked by many. Other than that the formula is quite thick and creamy. I use it as a hand cream for my dry hands which undergo a lot of abuse(daily chores) Hi Hi !!!!! And a little goes a long way. It might be too oily if you are not careful with the amount of product you use at one go.

R8 for a 50ml bottle which fits quite nicely in my handbag:) From CLicks as well- and they have it at the cash till- sneaky sneaky!! I love this smell and the consistency of the cream.
I first discovered Palmers Cocoa Butter Lotion during my pregnancy, the scent was so calming & need I mention that I dont have a single stretch mark on my tummy & I was huge at the time :-) It also helped immensely with the itchy/ scratchy/ nerve wrecking feeling moms to be experience as the tummy is growing. Since this formular is thick is left a lasting, soothing layer on my tummy which kept the skin moist & at ease. I recommend this to all moms 2 be!
I must admit that i haven't bought this lotion in a while (note to self - go buy some), but it's a great all over! You 're getting really good value for your money with this top quality product, the scent is absolutely amazing (people always ask what it is). It definately has that tropical summer, reminding me of milkshakes, custard and all the yummy things! It has great moisturising properties, i can't comment on the scars/marks as i mix and match my products so frequently. An awesome product for dry winter skin!
