I am the type of person where my mind is always running a million miles an hour and my wheels are always turning, honestly I can barely keep up with my own thoughts. And so I’m sure you can imagine that it takes a lot to quiet my mind; whatever activity I am doing in that moment needs to entirely consume my mind and one of the few activities that does that successfully is doing my nails.
You can’t speak about nail polish without assessing the brush first. So let me just start off by saying I don’t know who designed the essence nail polish brushes, but they did a great job because it is literally perfection. It makes application so easy leaving your nail polish looking smooth without a single patch even with just one coat.

I received the shades, 75 perfect match, as well as, 77 dreaming of love?, from beauty bulletin and I absolutely love the 75 perfect match was my absolute favourite.
The application was really easy and the colour was perfect from the first stroke, however you can add another layer if you want the colour to show more. The nail polish also dried extremely fast. I do not have much patience so the fact that these dried very fast was absolutely perfect.
I also liked the brush, it is wider than other nail polish brands, but it personally made the application process easier as it evenly spread on the nail.
Now what I didn't like was the fact it cracked and chipped really fast. My nail polish chipped within 2 days and after washing my hair it was completely ruined. Although the application process was easy for me, it did become a little messy as it went onto my skin as well but that didn't bother me.
Overall, I would purchase this product, it is about R30 at clicks which I consider affordable. The nail polish glides on easily, and dries quickly but it does chip and crack really fast as well. If you love doing your nails at home then this would definitely be the nail polish for you because they have a ton of different coloursto experiment with.

The Essence The Gel range is on of my favourites for a quick fix if I can't afford to buy the name brand nail polish or go to the salon to get my nails done. Its easy to use (the application brush is good). It dries quickly plus it gives you that gel look. I'd definetly recommend this to anyone only downside is that its a little smaller than usual brands but its very cheap if you buy it at Dischem or Clicks

The Essence Gel polishes are great value for money. They come in a very wide range of shades. They do not last more than 3 or 4 days on my nails (I am particular hard on my nails), but for the price I really can't complain! At the moment I am very impressed with shade no. 58 'need your love'! Definitely comparable to one of my all time favourites - Essie 'wicked'

I have two of these polished and I must say that they are a get value for the money. It is super affordable and they have such a good range of colours to choose from. Its always important to use a good top coat with them as they will last longer. Will definitely be purchasing more of them. I have quite a nail polish collection including Nail Inc. and OPI and I definitely still enjoy using these on a daily basis.
Plus these are a great stocking filler for Christmas or for a gift!

Staying true to Essence's MO, this nail polish gives one great quality at a great price.
To get the best out of these polishes, I would recommend using the other Essence nail care products.
They boast a wide range of colours and leave your nails with a professional gel finish. The polish isn't extremely durable and leaves you with a medium to long wear.
Hack: to get a matte finish, hold your nails to dry over some steam directly after painting them :)

I did not enjoy my experience with this product because it chipped very easily. I had to keep on reapplying throughout the day and my polish ending up looking uneven. Another thing is it takes super long to dry, so for up to 30 mins after application you cannot use your hands, if you do the polish ends up smudging and it looks really bad.

Essence is a student's best friend, with make up and nail products suited for small budgets it definitely does not skimp out on quality. I find it difficult to make time to go to my nail tech every month so on those busy month ends Essence comes through with an effortless mani in less than half an hour. The price is extremely affordable and the range is quite wide so there's a shade for every skin tone.

Essence gel nail polishes are beautifully pigmented with a wide range of fun colours. My favourite shade has to be the No. 36 ‘Dare It Nude’ shade because it’s a classy neutral colour that goes well with any outfit and is also perfectly acceptable in the workplace. The formula is thicker than average but still applies smoothly. One coat is more than enough if you choose a bold colour. However, pastel and neutral colours look better if you apply more than one coat. The downsides are that the nail polish takes very long to dry and chips easily. I would recommend using the gel nailpolish for special events rather than everyday. Given the price point, it’s possible to choose every colour your heart desires!

I was very surprised at how long this nail polish stayed on for - especially considering its affordable price. It is available in a wide variety of colours and comes with a really nice, full brush which gives a great coverage. I love using this polish and have quite a collection of their colours!

I wasn't part of this trial but I've been buying the Essence nail polishes for years now. I've always loved the fact that they are always up to trend with the colours. I love the brush and I love that you don't have to apply more than 2 coates for the colour to pop. It is really affordable and easily available.

This product is perfect for students during the school week It stays on for majority of the week without chipping off . The colours have a beautiful pop and glow to it. After removing it, it does not stain your nails and i would even go as far as saying that it leaves your nail nice and smooth, with that natural glow.

I'm a big fan of the great variety of colours that Essence offers in their gel nail polishes, there is always a stunning new colour to try and something that everyone will enjoy. I have bought a ton of the Essence gel nail polishes and will definitely continue. The polish itself does tend to chip easily without a top coat, I've had a few small chips one day after application if I skip the top coat. With a top coat, the polish lasts much longer, usually 4 to 5 days but likely to last longer on someone that isn't as clumsy as me. I have also noticed that the polish doesn't harden quickly in the bottle which I love. The polish does tend to thicken over time, but a few good shakes usually does the trick to blend it together again.

I've always bought crappy nail polish over the years but as soon as I discovered Essence there was no turning back! It's honestly such a good quality nail polish, for a good price. The brush spreads out wide so it's easier to apply which I think is a bonus! It doesn't take long to dry which is great for people who are impatient to wait :) Essence has amazing colours to choose from. I HIGHLY recommend this brand!

Two things i love most about this nail polish is its durability and High Gloss shine. My nails look good for up to 5 days with no chips or cracks. Another plus to this set of polishes is the shape of the brush. The broad bristles make it a breeze to paint my nails and covers the entire surface effortlessly.
The only downfall id say i have, is that i do think the base coat takes a bit long to dry. Other than that, this is my new favorite brand of nail polish, budget friendly and comes with a huuuuggge variety of colours. A definite must have for all girls who love painting their nails!

Being this cheap, one wouldn't think that a nail polish could look as good as getting your nails done at the salon. I was pleasantly surprised with the product and comes in great shades to match the popping summers to dark winters. Would like to change the shape of the bottle though it makes the product look a nit child-like. Quality, is just great! Love this!

I often change my nail colour so I am always looking for unique and affordable polishes. The Essence Gel Polishes are perfect for this and there is a huge variety of shades! My favourite shades are the dark reds/ maroons and more recently I have tried a shade called, "Dare it Nude" which is awesomely on trend at the moment. I wish they came in bigger bottles though as I tend to go through it quite quickly. Great price for a terrific product.

I've been buying their nail polishes for a long time now, even before it became all about the gel nail polish. I love these nail polishes because they come in such a wide variety of colours and they apply really easily. The brush is also wide, which is perfect for me.
The only trouble that I have had with these gel nail polishes is that I found that they tend to go thicker a lot quicker. I have only used the bottle about 3 or 4 times before it starts going thick.

I love these nail polishes i use them all the time in conjunction with the top and base coat. I looks beautiful and just like your gelish that you would do at a traditional salon. It doesnt last as long though. I use water a lot so that's my only issue.

I love the colors, its hip and trendy, I just wish it came in bigger bottles and it would stay on a bit longer.

Love this brand of nail polish, the brush is round which is the perfect shape for that even polish, doesn't take forever to dry, doesn't clump, paints smoothly, nail polish doesn't dry out quickly so you could leave it out the fridge ;) all in all my favorite nail polish brand also not to mention they have tons of different shades! and you can find these little angels in clicks or dischem :)
