Volumising Lash Powder

This is probably the first product from essence that I do not like at all.

I used it the first time, the fibres went into my eye and was such a mission to get out. And after ,my eye was mildly red and irritated.
And then i tried it again a couple of days after, and didn't notice that massive of a different. It made the eyelashes look clumpy and spidery, Maybe try the whole talcum powder trick , and apply that instead?

But i do have to admit, the pricing was amazing. I bought mine for R20, so it didn't break the bank at all.

I bought a pot of this ages ago and absolutely love it!

After applying one coat of mascara, you apply the tiny fibres and then apply another coat of mascara on top of that. Make sure that you don't use your favourite mascara for the second coat as the fibres do get stuck in it and make it clumpy after a while.

I love how thick and long it makes my lashes, and the little pot lasts forever!

I have tried many different ways to use this product, and all i can say is this product is horrible! I have first put my mascara on, then applied the powder which went EVERYWHERE, it even went into my eyes, which causes alot of discomfort until you can manage to get all the pieces out of your eyes... i really dont like this, and honestly i would not suggest to buy this... wasted money on this :(

I think Dischem and Clicks have the widest range of Essence products imaginable and Essence products are really cute, colourful and reasonably priced.
I got this item for under R 100 and having so much fun with it creating fabulous looks with ultra awesome lashes.
What's great about this little gem is that it works with your mascara to enhance and create an even more glamorous look.

Here is how I do it: Remember its powder and it needs to be kept sealed at all times to avoid wastage and messing and possibly even sneezing.

Firstly I apply my favourite essence mascara to my lashes. One or two coats should do it. Then, just before the masacara dries, I close my eyes and using the brush that comes with it, I dip my brush into the powder and apply to my lashes. Note this process can becomes a bit messy so wear something over your clothes so not to dirty them. Lastly, I apply another coat of mascara to seal in the product.

Overall a good product if you just wanna have some fun or having a pamper party with some friends.

I cannot express how much I LOVE this product! I use it every day to achieve thick luscious lashes.

The powder looks like fine fibres, almost like ground up cotton wool.

After applying a layer of mascara, you dip the wand into the powder, apply the powder to your lashes, then apply a second coat of mascara on top of the lashes.

I would suggest using a cheap mascara to do the second coat as some of the powder sticks to the mascara wand and can end up making it a bit thick and clumpy. I use a cheaper Essence mascara for my second coat (costs about R30 a tube).

Also, when dipping the wand into the powder, I only dip the first third into the powder as I find that dipping the whole wand in tends to pick up too much powder.

Afterwards be sure to wipe off any powder that has settled onto your cheeks with a big powder brush!

The bottle will last a long time as only a bit of powder is used at a time

Can be tricky to master application
Is a bit messy - I get some fall out on my cheeks and hand mirror

I will be buying this again when it finally runs out and I highly recommend it to all of my friends!

Found this to be a very interesting product i have not yet got the hang of it but i like to use it to create flock nails ie fluffy nails

This product does what it promises—it adds extra length to your lashes. The first time was a bit tricky and I ended up with a few clumps, but I now I know how to apply it correctly. You use very little to the jar will last long.

At first my lashes were left slightly whitish before I knew how to work magic with this amazing mascara. Now I can apply it like a pro for amazing lashes which look like falsies.
