I decided to wear this product for the last two days just to test it out before reviewing and I am glad I wore it over a period of time so I can give you a proper review of it.
Packaging wise, its cute but not my style. I prefer my lipsticks in the traditional tube. This is a long tube with a twisting mechanism at the bottom that pushes up the lipstick. It reminds me of a lipliner. The lipstick in the tube has a rounded top. Even thought their website says that it is contoured, it is not. I still find that using a lip brush to spread this out evenly works best. I have a very sharp cupids bow so I need a very pointed edge to get my lipstick applied perfectly.
The shade Flushed is a very pretty and bright pink. When I swatched it on my hand, it was a very bright pink but on my lips it was a bit darker since I naturally have dark lips. The color blended beautifully into my skin. A friend with a much lighter skin tried it on and it looked quite bright on her.
Once again, the website says that it is a lipgloss and a lipstick. It is not. It is only a lipstick. I have this product in two shades and both of them look and feel like a lipstick. It has a hint of a shine but there is nothing glossy about it.
The lipstick itself is very moisturizing and highly pigmented and I absolutely love that. Although it says stay all day, i found that the color does not remain the same all day. The color fades throughout the day and I found myself reapplying all the time. One thing that I do like is that it did not stain my teeth! I am always looking for lipsticks like that. It did end up all over my coffee cup though.
In the end, I love this product and I would not mind spending R180 for it.
