I actually use this soap to bath as opposed to on my face. I use it because of the strong sandalwood scent that I'm a fan of. But not sure about using it on my face. I haven't really noticed an improvement in skin tone or texture all over my body, hence the effectiveness in terms of "skin lightening" is questionable. But I use this product for the divine scent, so perhaps I'm using it incorrectly!

This soap is cheap yes, but it dried my skin to the point that my skin felt too tight for my face! I used it once on my face, then finished it as a body soap, personally I feel this soap is not gentle enough for use on the face
