Everyone’s a lover of the Chubby Stick, the size; convenience and sheer colour make it an un-forgettable lipgasm of a product. Well, no need to spend R215.00 for Cliniques Chubby when Revlon have one that’s half the price yet packs the same punch.
Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain is a mouthful to say, but I assure you, it’s a name that will be on your lips forever! This is Revlon’s revolution in lip colour. The packaging is very Chubby Stick, with its thick retractable crayon style in the colour of choice with a silver base that twists to produce more of the product. The lid is a coloured plastic in the same colour as the canister. The base of the canister has a label in the colour being purchased whilst the canister merely has a few choice words done in mirrored silver. This packaging is very simple, yet striking and allows the stain to take centre stage. The contrast between the bold colour of the canister and the silver writing make it stand out as being bold and daring.

The stain itself is almost of a stiff jelly consistency as its loaded with moisture and sheerness. Even in the accompanying photos, the moisture and softness of the stain is visible. This initiative from Revlon is a blend between a balm and stain; it goes on smoothly, has good staying power and doesn’t bleed. When the boldness of the colour fades, it has a subtle “just bitten” look which is where the stain part comes into play.

The colour that got me hooked was this subtle, almost translucent orangy red- 045 Romantic. At first glance it does seem a true red, but after application it has some orange under tones. This is what makes the colour so fresh and invigorating, it even suits every skin tone and eye colour. The more layers applied onto lips the more intense and noticeable the colour gets.

These Balm stains are perfect for the working lady as it can easily take you from office drab to party fab in just 2-3 swipes.

The result is fully hydrated, full lips that have an intense dose of colour and moisture. Because of it being a balm, it offers sooo much of hydration that it looks like you’re using a patting of gloss over your lippie, BONUS! Great and easy for when you’re on the go or need colour fast

I love this lip stain :D it was the first lip stain that I bought. The felt pen tip lasts for so long and it leaves lips full of colour. The balm isn't so nourishing, so I use Labello fruit shake to keep my lips nourished and it adds a glossy look for an amazing look :)

The idea of a lip stain really appealed to me because I don't really like it when your lipstick transfers or fades, but who really does? This product works wonders! Instead of sitting on top of your lips it penetrates the skin and amazingly also moisturises your lips deep down. It is a really nourishing treatment balm and comes in a variety of shades. I tried the Mystical shade after hearing about the review on Beauty Bulletin and it is now my absolute favourite colour.

Got my Just bitten stain in sweetheart couple of days back and i love them.
The feel of peppermint oil when u apply the lip stain is very nice. They are extremely easy to apply , stay put even after lunch and its huge coming from someone who has to apply lip color every 2 hours. The pencil is like jumbo crayon , easy to carry and my shade instantly briightened my face.
As already pointed out please try the shade as their look in pencil and onlips is quite different. otherwise a great everyday, on the go product in eight lovely shades.

Got it at clicks sale for R40! I love it so much. I have the Frenzy colour and it looks great on. The balm is super moist and the pen applicator seriously stained my lips, I could not stop looking at them! It is a great product and will try and get another one at the sale as the original price is crazy! I agree that your lips need to be smooth and exfoliated before you apply the stain. I use a nice clear gloss over to add a little more shine

I have wanted this product ever since it came out as an alternative to lip stick or lip gloss that would actually stay on my lips and not transfer anywhere during the day.I love this product! it really does everything it claims to do! it is really pigmented and easy to apply with the pen type design and it lasted me for 8 hours with inbetween eating and drinking. The balm creates an extra shine to the colour and also adds a little extra moisture. It is scentless once applied to the tips and it is so feather light you actually forget it is there! when i drink it doesnt transfer which is amazing. what i would have liked with the balm though is for them to have a screw mechanism to turn the balm up and down instead of having it just stitting up like it does so just a tip when you pull off the cap off the balm side be very careful also when applying the balm afterwards do not press hard as the balm is very soft and it will break off. another tip ensure you expoliate your lips before applying otherwise the dead skin on the lips will make your lips have dark and light patches all over which is not sexy lol but all in all you will need to try this product! i will definately be going out and buying more colours :)

I've always liked lip stains, but they usually dry your lips out terribly ! And of you add balm or gloss, the stain lifts off...
Now Revlon has solved that quandary with Just Bitten, the only lip stain that comes with its own balm that won't lift the colour, and keeps your lips soft and moisturised.
I loved the precision of the koki-like applicator (it reminded me of colouring in my lips with koki as a kid ! You know you did it too...) and the balm is lightweight and silky.
Do test the colours first, as the one I tried came out more berry than pink - the outer colour of the applicator isn't always a reliable indicator of the colour on your skin !
Long-lasting, so miniml touch-ups required, but it's easy to slip into your bag or pocket.
Highly recommended.
