Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm

This has been my go-to lip product for the past year!!! The colour selection is great in my opinion and I love the packaging. The Crayon look makes it very easy to glide on lips even without a mirror or lipliner.

These Lippies are the best!!! I wish they were a little bit more affordable though but since the quality is excellent, I pay what I need to. These really feel like a balm on your lips...light and easy to wear. Moisturising and non-drying! I have about 6 of them and I love them all the same! You need one in your bag always. They are low maintenance and are long lasting without flaking or drying.

They have a slight minty smell which I adore in lip products (they could have added some more mint here :)) and this adds a little tingle to the lips. I can't think of a better lip product for summer or ladies who are not big fans of lipsticks but might like some colour to their pouts. I will always adore this product. Sultry is the best everyday colour I have seen in a long time.

I am absolutely in love with this product. I recently bought the 225 Sultry Sulfureuse. It has an incredible minty fresh feeling after applying. The colour lasts all day long and for a matt balm, I am SO impressed. This is definitely on my shopping list.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 215 Shameless applies smoothly and effortlessly onto the lips. Like all Revlon balms, it has a minty scent to it and gives my lips a slight tingling effect. On application, it gives my lips an intense matte purple colour. The colour is long lasting and it stains the lips beautifully. The Shameless balm really makes me feel daring to wear such a bold purple shade. Surprising, this colour really looks good on me. For a matte balm, it is not drying to the lips.

I got onto the band wagon a bit late but when i did, i wasn't disappointed at all
I purchased the color 'Honey Douche', a very wearable, everyday pink
I have thick lips and i cannot go very long without using Lip Ice so i was impressed to find out that this product doesn't dry out my lips but keeps them moisturized, in turn i use it a lot more often than what i do any of my other lip products when going out...
It's affordable and comes in an array of color's

As part of my beauty haul , i also purchased 2 of these . They are smooth and creamy and apply really well.

its definitely a great product for everyday wear , as it really moisturizes the lips even though its a matte balm .

I love that they blend easily without a lip-liner but at the same time they can even be worn without lip-liners and still give a great finish .

It can last till lunch time thereafter you will need to touch up again which is still very good in my books .

Matte colorburst in 205 has become my go-to lip balm recently. I love the soft shade of pink which compliments a number of looks & occasions.

I found that it hadn't last me as long as I hoped it would but with a little bit of concealer before application and a few strokes of balm over that was the end of that problem.

I love these balms and have been using it for some time now because it feels so good on the lips .I have it a bright pink color and it looks gorgeous .more importantly it is quite moisturising and lasts relatively long.

Oh Revlon. How I love these Colourbursts and their colours. I love the lasting effect and my personal favourites are the Shameless Desinvolte (215) and Honey Douce (001).

I have never been so obsessed to a lipcolour in a while.

And the price is quite reasonable which makes it easier to have different colours.

So I am not a fan of bright lip color and I generally prefer glosses as they give color without being too deep. I bought this and I am sold its soft going on, it moisturizes my lips and the color goes on evenly but it’s not too intense. It’s perfect for work day lip color; it is an elegant and pretty piece.
The shade as well works well with my skin tone. I am no exploring other colors in this range

I love the matt sticks. I got one in a mauve shade which is the perfect shade for me and a coral which I got for summer. I find the coral a bit bold for me so I have hardly used it but the mauve one is almost finished! I use mine as a cheek and lip tint. Its moisturizing and the colour is quite pigmented for a balm. I also love the subtle scent and the feel of it.
This is definitely a product I will keep buying!

Love these lipbalms,the colour shades are amazing.When i feel fierce and on top of the world i put on the purple shade(shameless) or unapologetic(brightpink),i love them but i just wish they lasted longer cause i have to re-apply them many times.

Absolutely love! Can't live without it. Its a. Bit pricey (because I'm an unemployed part-time student) but worth every penny. Its like its stays on forever! Eat drink and it stays on!

These are awesome... im not a huge fan of big bold and bright but i tried these out and love the long lasting effect and not forgetting the gloss and the rich moisture... dry lips are a put off and Revlon keeps my lips moist and shiny and pretty perfect

I am a huge fan of Revlon, always have been since I began using make up.

These Colourburst Lacquer Lipstick Balms further entrench that belief. To begin with they glide on like a dream and the instant cooling on the lips is perfect for our RSA summers!

I have two shades, the red shade is aptly named Femme Fatale! Both provide a deep colour that lasts all day, I am always on the go and busy in Court as a lawyer so I do not have the chance to reapply lipsticks all day, this product takes care of that.

I also further found that a lovely special where you get 2 for the price of 1!

Overall I cannot be happier with these products, I do recommend that you wear a lipliner though to give you a neater finish.

I am a huge fan of these. I think that they are moisturising and don't dry as you would expect from something matte, it lasts for quite some time and looks simply amazing. Sultry is also a phenomenal colour because you can wear it with anything and it will look good. Pricing is fair, and I would highly recommend these crayons over just about anything for the lips. There are some truly beautiful colours in the range, too. The only issue I have is that if I want to freshen the look up in a few hours (and this is only if I am using the matte ones), I will have to either have to put on lip balm and then this, or for best results take the previous coat off and start fresh again, which isn't a hastle for me.

I received one of these from a friend and its a really nice product, glides on easily , very moisturizing and smells great but I didn't like how it stained my lips even after removing my make up , my lips still had a color to it - felt like I couldn't get it off

Revlon Lacquer Balm in Demure. I love this balm, it works layered over any lip colour, or even on its own. It gives a glossy light pink look to the lips, with a slight shimmer. It smells minty and doesn't dry out my lips, which is a win for me!

I love the Revlon Balm stain crayons - the regular ones as well as the newer laquer and matte ones! I actually recently bought the matte one in a gorgeous bright coral shade that is PERFECT for spring, and have received so many compliments on it.

These are great for colour and moisture (although the matte ones can be a little drying - you won't get the matte effect otherwise - I use a little lip balm before applying it) and I have at least 4 of them!

I was very fortunate to win a prize from Revlon recently. I received ten shades of Revlon colorstay laquer balms and Matte lipsticks.

I was like a kid in a candy store because nothing gets me so excited as make up, especially if it is a brand or type that I haven't tried before.

My favourite's were the matte sticks because they are quite dark and you only have to add one layer. They are also very long lasting and doesn't smudge at all.

I use my laquer sticks when I'm in the mood for a glossy look. They are also long lasting and blends very well.

I can definitely recommend these products. They are simply fabulous!

I have this in a different colour but the quality is amazing and it glides on, makes the lips feel great and smells divine.

I purchased this a while back and I am very glad I did. Definitely a burst of color for my lips. An appropriately named lip balm that colors my lips perfectly as well as nourishes it. It is quite long lasting and the price is reasonable as well. I am going back for more and definitely going to try other colors :)

I love this balm. These were a HUGE hitter in the beauty world and for a good reason. The formula was highly improved from the original Revlon Just Bitten range yet with the same yummy minty smell. The colour glides on smoothly and it lasts for ages. I would suggest this in the colour Complex (nude) as it is so sleek and sheen and you can wear it with any eye makeup.

CLAIMS:
Let's take a look at what the product claims to do and whether or not it lives up to these claims.

**Velvety Matte Color**

I have developed a strong liking for a matte finish on the lips, and in my opinion - the Colorburst Matte Balm, doesn't deliver as well as I had hoped it would.

**Balm like feel**

When I was applying the balm onto my lips, it almost felt like I was applying a bit of buttery cream onto my lips. When it's on my lips, they feel moisturized - just like when I wear lip balm.

PIGMENTATION:
Due to the fact that I have darker skin, the balm is a lot more pigmented on my lips and I love it!

FINISH/TEXTURE:
The formula of this balm, gives it a buttery creamy texture with a minimal matte finish.

LASTING POWER:
I am yet to wear this for a full day to test how long it lasts. The longest I have worn it was 2 hours and it was quite hard to take it off. I am going out on a limb here and saying it will probably last you a full day, with one or two minor touch ups required?

PACKAGING:
The packaging complements the balm color and the matte finish. I view it as being sleek and elegant, but not unique as this type of packaging seems to appear on pretty much all balm crayons nowadays.

PRICE/AVAILIBILITY:
I purchased this balm from Edgars and I paid R120.

From what I've seen online, you can buy it at just about any store worldwide that sells drugstore makeup. You can also opt to purchase it online.

LIKES:
The balm has a strong pepperminty scent to it.
It does not dry out my lips.
The color is quite bold.
This color can be worn by women of all complexions.

DISLIKES:
When I applied the balm, for a second I had a burning sensation on my lips due to the pepperminty vibe.
The finish is not quite as matte as I had hoped.

OVERALL:
For the amount of money that was spent on the balm, I would say that it was a good buy and I got my money's worth. I am definitely in the process of considering going to the store and purchasing another matte balm in a different shade.
