Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

I don't usually wear mascara often without installing lashes right after but when I do I need my look to be just as bold and complete as it would with lashes on, and Maybelline gets the job done !!? Comes in different brush sizes. Easy to use. Available for purchase in-store. Maybe it because I'm a great make-up artist.... maybe it's Maybelline ??. Overall a great product.

Just bought it last week and I am loving it.

I will say I expected way more from this product. It receives a ton of hype & I am just not that impressed.

The formula is quite creamy and you have to apply about 3 coats to get the most out if it.

It's a good thing that it does not clump. I will say it separates quite well.

I just don't like that there is no drama to it. Forget volume! At best it will give you some length and curl with a lot of effort.

It's just too standard for me. If you want to invest in a good one - Nars Climax is amazing!!!

This might come as a surprise given all the other rave reviews, but I do not love this mascara.

The Maybelline Lash Sensational was so hyped up, and, given my eternal search for the perfect mascara, I had to try it. It seemed to tick all my boxes, it came in a dark black-brown shade, and it had a silicone wand (which I prefer over a fibre wand). I was also excited to try the innovative fan design of the wand that claimed to get at the very root of even the shortest lashes. While it did seem to do this, I found that the wand picked up too much product and made my lashes thick and clumpy as a result. I'd get the best results if I scraped off excess product before using it, which I don't always want to do when using mascara.

Despite my opinion, I'd still recommend it to others, as I am starting to think I may just be a little fussy when it comes to choosing mascara!

I have been using this mascara for about two years now and I have bought other other brands but I always end up coming back to this mascara, and for good reason. I think it just does its job so well. Its super black, it separates the lashes perfectly and I have long lashes so I always struggle to get the tips of my lashes but this mascara does that perfectly - I think its because of the shape of the brush.

I must say though that the first time you use the mascara it is quite wet so it can get a bit messy. But after that it just turns into a perfect mascara. I highly recommend this mascara and would buy it over and over again.

Great mascara...

I bought this mascara mainly because the mascara I usually used dried up, and I just could not find one whose brush I was okay with ( I am very fussy when it comes to mascara brushes), or the one that I always bought. So the only mascara that I could find that day whose brush looked like it won't clump my lashes was this one. The next day I used it and I found that it was a lot more wet than I'm used to and that day unfortunately my lashes did clump. The day after, I tried it again without wearing my usual liquid eyeliner and found that it worked amazingly, my lashes were long and separated and almost looked like I had false lashes on.

The cons: This mascara is not build-able in layers at all, if it has dried you can't build on it, also the moment you want to wash it off it feels like it won't come if then a few seconds later everything just comes off like normal, I don't think a makeup remover wipe will be able to take it off actually. If you do decide to wear liquid eyeliner and this mascara, make sure you comb through your lashes with another brush first before you apply this or it will clump.

Weird fact; I obviously do not advise this but, if for some reason you fall asleep with this mascara on, you will wake up the next morning with your lashes exactly as they were when you applied it the previous day, it does not clump or move, it does crumble a little but your lashes look exactly the same.

Love, just love. A beauty vlogger introduced this one to me. After a while of contemplating about purchasing this, I finally did, and am super happy with my choice. This separates your lashes, and adds volume as well. You dont need fake lashes with these. I believe that the brush is what makes this mascara that great. I would purchase this one over and over again.

I had read so many rave reviews on this mascara from all over the world, that when I heard that it was coming to SA, I got very excited. I checked out the Maybelline stands in all the Dischems/Clicks/Red Squares that I could find until one day I stumbled upon it.

Before this, I had loved the Essence mascaras (and still do, for what you're paying, they are INCREDIBLE), but this has been a game changer for me. The formula, the brush, everything just works for me so so well, and my eyelashes have never looked better!

Definite repurchase!

I heard all about this product so I decided to go for it when I saw it at my local Clicks. The price tag was a little steap (I thought) at 150 odd bucks - the normal Maybelline mascara retails at about 120 (at most) so I was slightly disappointed at that but I decided to purchase it anyway! :)
Before I go on, I feel that mascara is a very personal thing as people have completely different eye shapes and that effects their lashes and how their lashes look! So for some, they may LOVE this product, but for others not so much.
This mascara has a curled brush which I think is meant to 'curl' your lashes as you apply. It's shape is very continent as its beant the same was as your eyes - if that makes sense! ;)
I found this mascara beautifully dark and smooth. However it clumped on my lashes :( I still use it but it isn't the first mascara I grab out of makeup bag. The Maybelline Smokey eyes Volume express (big yellow tube) is still my go to mascara!:)! xx

My new faverite! I treasure this baby! At first I found it hard to apply this mascara because of the curved applicator and different sized bristles on it. I got use to it now and I have amazing results. It separates your lashes so well because of the finer bristles and then volume from the longer bristles (Look at the image).This is a great investment for your make up drawer! This smaller bristles are also great for your lower lashes!

My search for a mascara I truly love is over! I've had the worst luck with mascara in the past - my lashes are long, but not thick. So most mascaras lengthen my lashes but don't add enough volume for me to be suitably impressed. Any volumising mascara I've bought in the past just clumps up everything and ruins my eye makeup, but not this bad boy! Maybelline has won the mascara race by creating this beauty.

The Lash Sensational mascara comes in a dusty pink tube and has a multi-faceted wand. One side is dense with bristles, while the other side has shorter, more evenly spaced bristles. I like to add product with the shorter bristles and comb through with the denser ones. Clumping can sometimes occur if you go in with too much product but I've found that you can easily remedy this by flipping the wand and using the other side to evenly distribute any lumps of mascara. The pigment is super black and really adds drama to any makeup look.

This is the ultimate finishing touch for makeup lovers and a must-try for beauty addicts!
