So far this is my favourite Mama Mio product that I have tried in the range and I am incredibly impressed. Having always had small breasts, I feared what my breasts would look like 5 months into my pregnancy. Luckily I have been pleasantly surprised. I was advised to start using these spectacular products early on and after having gone up more than a cup size there are NO visible stretch marks as of yet! *Fingers crossed. The cream is in the form of a pump which is very user friendly and minimses wastage, at R680 you will want to save every ounce. The cream feels cooling on the skin and is of a light consistency.

I will continue to use this product and post a further update on it in the coming months.

THE UPSIDE: I was thrilled to receive a tube of this iconic product as a gift and have been slathering it on daily for the past two and half months - from the second month or so of my pregnancy. Just one pump-full of the lotion from the cleverly designed dispenser is enough to bring immediate relief to achey, heavy and sensitive-to-the-touch breasts - symptoms that First and Third Trimester mamas-to-be will be all too familiar with. The light yet nourishing cream absorbs quickly, and the gentle cooling and refreshing sensation gets to work fast, and provides a lasting soothing effect all day long. As well as soothing the sensitive bust area, the fact that Mama Mio products contain no nasties also soothes the conscience of chemical-wary girls. R680 sounds like a lot of money to spend on a bust cream, but - like wearing the best quality lingerie you can afford - a little goes a long way, and it's definitely worth the investment.
THE DOWNSIDE: This product is all about alleviating sore boobs. Although it is hydrating and contains Omega oils, it lacks the deep hydration you need to prevent stretch marks and soothe nipples, so you'll need to pop another product on top of this one to do that job (I love preggie-friendly extra virgin coconut oil or Oh-Lief Olive Oil Tummy Wax). I'd also look forward to using it more if the herbal, slightly medicinal fragrance was a little more feminine and uplifting (preggies love citrus and rose scents, for example).
THE VERDICT: The perfect spoil for new and expectant mamas, I'll continue using this throughout my pregnancy and beyond.

When you're a new mom, nursing and the general uncomfortable feeling that comes a long with it can be overwhelming. If you have older family members, they might even suggest putting cabbage leaves to help the tenderness. Thank goodness that we don't have to do that anymore! This cream is great at soothing the fullness and uncomfortable feeling that comes during pregnancy and well into the first year of your newborn's life. I am not a particular fan of the scent - it seems very manly, in my opinion. But the effectiveness outweighs that by a mile. When applied, it gives a gentle, cooling and fresh feeling which immediately helps soothe the pressure.
