I was extremely excited to get this little tub in my latest Beauty Bulletin parcel! Lancôme's products have always been on my "lust-have" list, but because of their high price tag, they have been out of my reach ( mommy on a budget!).
What they say:
Lancôme have launched this eye treatment specifically to target the problem areas that affect the delicate skin around the eye. According to the blurb, this product will "replenish, repair and rejuvenate" the skin around your eyes. It is formulated with Pro Xylane which is patented technology that helps to restore moisture to the deeper layers of the skin. This product also contains a patented Bio-network of yam, soy, barley and sea algae to also visibly replenish and hydrate the skin.
The product promises that you will see immediate results and that straight after applying this cream the contour of the eye will look firmer and brighter, Within four weeks fine lines and wrinkles will be reduced and that the skin around your eyes will look firmer and younger.
My experience:
This product feels very silky to the touch and you only need the smallest dab, which you then pat around the eye area. Initially there is a very slightly greasy feel, but then it is absorbed and the eye area looks firmer and very hydrated. It goes well under make-up if you give it a chance to sink in.
Their claims that your skin will look firmer and more luminous straight after application are very true. I think this product must contain mica or similar light-reflecting particles, so the eye area looks instantly refreshed and brighter.
After around two weeks of using this product, I can definitely say there is an improvement of the look of my eye area. Fine lines seem to be faded and even the deeper crows feet look less obvious. My skin looks smoother and definitely has a bit of a glow to it.
I will definitely carry on using this product! Fortunately, you only need to use a small dab at a time, becauseI will cry like a baby when it is finished. At the hefty price tag of R810,00, I probably wont be able to repurchase, but if you can afford to splurge, I would definitely recommend you give this product a try. Its well worth it!
