It has been exactly four week since I began using the Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth
Activating Concentrate and I have to start this post out by saying that I will happily be splurging
on a repeat buy of this product once I have finished this bottle. That will still be in a long while
though as I have been using this serum for 28 days and I have barely made a dent in the product. I
use the product religiously nightly (sometimes in the morning too) and a little goes a LONG way!
I am thrilled with my four week check in results; I reported back in my last two posts that I was
seeing fantastic results and I was still hoping that product’s properties would kick in even more and
give me a few more results that were suggested on the packaging…
I am happy to report that the checklist box of ‘Clarified Skin Texture’ has now been ticked! I am
absolutely seeing positive outcomes in my skin tone and texture. Most noticeably, the discolouration
under my eyes and around my nose area are almost completely gone. A week or two more and who
knows how ‘Genefique’ my skin will be looking!!

Hi Everyone
I am now in my 3rd week of using this little black bottle of magic.
I have been travelling between Cape Town and Jhb,
And I must say, as soon as I landed in Jhb my skin took a toll on me. It is very dry and dehydrated so I was really worried that i might have a break out or that my skin will not cope.
But It hasn't been too bad, I put a little Extra serum on my skin just to prevent dehydration, and it seemed to have been working really well!
So Thanks to Lancome Advanced Genifique, you have saved the day once again.

I have now finished week two of my Genifique, and loving it even more so than week 1.
I am starting to notice that my finer lines on my face are softening out slightly and my skin is very smooth.
My skin also has a lot more of a glow, which is great because it usually looks quite dull during winter.
I am so happy with this product so far, and it hardly looks like I have even used of the product because you only need a small amount.

Just a update on my 30 day review trail for Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum. I am on the brink of 40 and it is vital that I take care of my skin and especially my face.
What I can say about Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum is that I love it because:
The product dispenser is super cool, it’s an syringe pump so I just use enough product no mess and most definitely no fuss, I am totally loving the “ little black bottle “ concept it is chick!!
Secondly the serum is non-greasy and it just has this clean fragrance.
So I have religiously used it day and night on my face and so far I can say that:
My skin is smoother
My pores ore finer
I have radiant glowing skin
Happy days

I am on the First Week of consistent use of the Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate. My last bottle, which I bought from Foschini at a 20% discount (normal retail price is R780), was already running low, so I was using it as sparingly as possible. Now that Beauty Bulletin has deemed me worthy and blessed me another 30 ml, I am splurging daily and my skin glows with gratitude.
Apparently, Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate is sold globally every four minutes and I could believe that because I #lovemyage, but looking my age is not a goal of mine.
The Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate patented secret promises to:
1. Repair visible signs of aging;
2. Reactivate radiance and luminosity, and
3. Create a youthful halo of silky, perfectly plumped skin.
My skin has been showing some signs of dehydration since the start of autumn and the sparing use of this serum did help, but because I was not consistent my skin was starting to require more as the weather was getting drier and colder. The one week of daily use, morning and night, has already shown me why the Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate is so popular.
My experience so far is that –
1. My skin is plumper and no longer feels tight or dry feeling cleansing;
2. My skin feels smoother and looks hydrated;
3. Without any change is my scrubbing routine, I have less visible dead skin cells;
4. My expression lines are disappearing quicker than before; and
5. Foundation sits better on my face even without the use of a primer.

If you saw my Youtube Video, you would have seen what my first impression of the product was. This beautifully packaged little black bottle lives up to Lancôme's reputation: Classy, Elegant and absolutely Fabulous!
The Product:
The first time I applied the serum onto my skin, it was ever so smooth, and my skin absorbed it beautifully. The serum is a very light-weight liquid that spreads onto the facial area beautifully, you don't even need a lot of it each time you apply it. This product may seem pricey, but once you get to experience the quality and how little you actually need to use, then the price worry falls away immediately.
The Outcome of week 1:
I am so impressed with this product! My skin is feeling a lot more hydrated, and I have a beautiful radiance from using the product. Usually in winter my skin feels dull and dry, but this serum is so amazing, and even though it is light-weight, it is very moisturising at the same time. Of course, while doing product reviews I have to take into account the reactions it has to my skin. I do have very sensitive skin so often when I start using a new product I get little red pimples, but its safe to say that they disappeared within two days.

First week of the #LancomeSouthAfrica #LoveYourAge and I am hooked. Usually by 10am my T-Zone "shines bright like a diamond" but just a week of use has changed that. Matte...considering I do not use anything except face cream with SPF50 on my face. I love how it glides into the skin.
I cannot say much for the lines though, still early days, My overall appearance has improved. The skin looks slightly more healthier than it did before. With just one week of use, I just love it. I cannot wait for the final results.

Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate by Lancome is an easily absorbed serum that left my skin feeling silky smooth. There may even have been some added luminosity. After using the serum for a month I have not noticed any improvement in the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles. This does not mean to say that the serum is not improving the skin condition such that future lines and signs of ageing are minimised. Initially I thought the cap dispenser was just a gimmick but after getting use to it I really like it, dispensing just the right amount. The packaging is gorgeous and glass always gets a thumbs up from me. R780 for 30ml is not unexpected for the #1 serum of a luxury brand. I do like this serum but it is not a miracle cure so only if the budget can really handle it would I repurchase.

After the first week of using the Lancôme Concentrate I was an immediate convert. My skin felt softer, the product added notable luminosity to my skin and my imperfections seemed blurred. I was absolutely thrilled that the product was working well and so quickly!
However, the results seemed to be mixed following that first week. I do feel that the Concentrate is brilliant at tightening the skin while adding a dewy gleam, but it did very little for my fine lines or pores. The effect it had on my redness was also somewhat unpredictable, sometimes the serum would rapidly reduce redness, other times I saw no difference. It definitely added luminosity to my skin, but was slightly drying and helped very little with breakouts.
I wrote this after week 2 of using the product:
"My gut feel is that this would be an 'insurance' product for me. Something I would not use to combat any daily skin struggles I face, but an insurance policy to prevent age-related issues in the future. Not something that WOWS me on a daily basis, but something that I would thank myself for down the road."
The above sums up my exact thoughts about this product.
I do not think this is an item that I would repurchase as I feel it's just not suited to my skin or my primary skin concerns.

It's been just under 4 weeks since I started my journey with Lancôme's Advanced Génifique serum. I've had very mixed feelings about the product so I made this little table...
What worked for me
The packaging is unique and extremely clever, not to mention beautiful!
I love the clever dispensing system with the right amount loading into the dropper when you close the lid so that the next time you open it, it's all ready and waiting for you.
My skin is definitely smoother and has a new clarity and radiance.
The challenges
The skin around my eyes reacted to the serum so I had to stop using it there, which is a pity as I really need some work on that area!?
There is no "miracle" - I still have spots and marks and wrinkles!
I do not see a major difference in my skin and don't feel that the brand promise has been kept.
It is not cheap!
I'm about 2 thirds of the way through the bottle, which means I've still got at least another 2 weeks, maybe even another 4.
Here's the pics of me from the end of August until now. I do think that there is a difference and I have had a couple of people say that my skin is looking a lot better. I do like the smoothness but a miracle would have been nice!
Overall, I think the pros outweigh the cons but the biggest factor in my decision to buy this product again is simply the price! R780 is a lot to pay for a serum. I find it hard to justify the amount of money given the benefit received from it - in other words, if it really was a miracle worker I'd find it to be pretty cheap!
The trial has been a good introduction into the world of Lancôme, however, as I've never used their products before. I'd definitely be interested in exploring their product range further. I'd certainly love to try the eye serum in the same range - would be wonderful if it had the same softening and tightening effect on my under-eye area.

Since the age of 30 I have been at war with fine lines, dull skin and just general aging.
Since I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Lancôme Advanced Génifique, my search for a product that works has been halted. My fine lines and dull skin is a thing of the past. I love my age thanks to Génifique.

My main skin concerns are fine lines, dull skin and a bit of pigmentation as well. I feel like this serum addressed and treated all three factors really well. My skin is supple, radiant and very smooth.
I love that it's scent free so I can use it around the eye area without any sensitivity. It also sinks into the skin super fast, which makes for applying makeup or face cream a breeze, without clogging up the pores.
I would be happy to purchase this serum for myself once my bottle is up, it's such a gem!

This product has firmly become a holy grail product for me. I tested this for 4 weeks and saw amazing results. I suffered from dullness, mild pigmentation, lack of clarity and radiance. That compounded with a lack of sleep as I have two little ones and a 6 day a week job had left me feeling very neglected and under the weather. this product started working from day 1 and within a week I already saw changes, after two weeks I looked a year or two younger, by three weeks people asked if my Little one had started sleeping through the night, by week four I felt like a new person, more confident, happy and beautiful. I loved using every drop of this serum. My skin is visibly radiant and hydrated- fines lines from dehydration are gone . Skin is still uneven but i'm definitely purchasing one hopefully my skin is even in another 6 weeks :)

This is truly a wonder product!! For me this Lancome serum did everything it said it would, if firmed up my skin, faded fine lines and pores, even skin tone, faded my dark spots and acne marks! Really just overall did everything and im looking much much better :) Yay for Lancome! hehe smoothest skin ever at the moment. I really would suggest for everyone to get some and try it. I am loving this product. Not only is my skin smoother to touch after 4 weeks of use, but I have noticed that the dark circles under my eyes are less, my enlarged pores are looking a great deal better and the dullness I am struggling with is a thing of the past. My skin has a youthful glow again and I have regained my youthful red cheeks.
I definitely think this product is worth the money you pay and I will gladly recommend it to anyone struggling with the same issues than me.

Lancome has spent many years and has gotten many patents regarding this serum, so it must work, right? Lets just say that I am a convert. This serum is encased in a beautiful black bottle with a dropper(makes it look all scientific). I love that this serum has been designed for all skin types, even super sensitive. One drop of this precious serum worn under your moisturiser is all it takes. It really hydrates the skin and makes the overall texture look absolutely stunning. Easily absorbed into the skin, this serum is a must in the fight against ageing. Its best to buy the big bottle which retails for R999. Yes, its damn expensive but it really lasts ages and for the skin transformation , its worth every cent!

The Youth Activator serum is a clear and gel/silicone like and takes about a minute to absorb. It is easy to apply as it comes with a dropper which has just the right amount for each application.I applied the serum only under my eyes (though it can be used all over the face).
After about a week of applying the serum under my eyes every morning and some nights, the skin under my eyes looked plumper and the dark lines were visibly diminished. The skin feels a lot tighter to the touch as well. The serum sometimes stings a bit on application, especially if I have just exfoliated – which is because of the denatured alcohol in the product. I am head over heels in love with this product. I was sad to see that it cost R655 for 30ml, nevertheless I think it is worth saving for and if you only use if under the eyes it should last some months. I have been using the 7ml sample for 2 weeks now and its only half way, so 30mls should last 4/5 months.

A great serum indeed! You only need one teeny tiny drop of this. It is mostly for aged women, but if you do have fine lines then it is perfect for you. It is important to note that it is not a moisturiser, it actually tightens your skin to help reduce fine lines.
After 7 days of correct use, you will see results. You need to apply this by using a tiny drop of this clear serum in upward motions, never downward.
