Step 2: Soft and Shiny Conditioner

Once again, the key ingredient is glycerin. Following up a shampoo with a conditioner is a very important. My daughter has 4c hair and it is high porosity meaning it allows moisture into the hair but struggles to retain it. The conditioner step is vital for the hair to be moisturised.

Step 2 of this routine is great in this regard. You will not regret it:)

this conditioner is the best.....it has a soft velvety touch and a devine smell....when applied to our afros the soft velvety touch was transferred to our hair kikikiki hair neva felt so soft and so fresh....its nt a leave in conditioner but with its lovely smell I ended up using it as a leave in conditioner and our afros jus loooovveeee it

Well this was the first time that I used a conditioner on my 2 year old daughter. Well she doesn't like the fact that washing her takes longer.. lol but I have seen the difference it has made to her hair and scalp. Her hair is more shiner and has added moisture.

I was really skeptical when starting to use the conditioner!

Firstly- I have never used (or heard) of conditioner being part of a baby shampoo range. I've always used the 2 in one creamier shampoo or the original Johnson's shampoo. I was a bit reluctant adding yet another 5 mins to our hair washing routine but went ahead and used the conditioner.

I LOVE the results. It does not need to sit in his head forever. I apply, massage his head a bit and then rinse.

Rinsing is a breeze- there's nothing worse than rinsing over and over because of conditioner residue in your hair and I didn not find it with this product.

The product has the same smell as the shampoo.

The results were super soft hair. Even before drying his hair I could see a major difference in the texture and feel of his hair.

I have used this conditioner for myself- and I love it too. I have a sensitive scalp and it worked wonders for my scalp and hair. I would definitely be buying more of the conditioner... to share :)

We have been using this product for over 2 years now and we still love it Asemahle is now 3 years old and has the most soft and shiny afro a little girl would love to have all thanks to the Soft and Shiny Range.

After washing her hair with the shampoo I apply the conditioner leave it in for 5mins then rinse off her hair immediately has beautiful tight curls,its soft and moisturized. These products are baby and toddler friendly, mild which is safe to use on our little ones.

When I first saw the ad on tv I new I had to get this for my daughter.She loves plaiting,styling and combing her hair now.Which has always been war until we started using these products.A happy mommy equals a happy child.We both are happy to have said goodbye to hair quarrels and bad hair days??

Johnson's® Baby Soft & Shiny Conditioner is a creamy lather feel to to the hair that absorbs well in baby's hair, retaining the essentials oils from the shampooing stage. Makes it easier to comb and the comb moves freely with no tangled hair screams.

The smell of the product is just wow! It is very nice and last longer into baby hair.

This product is for keeps ?, will definitely recommend it to all the mother's out there.

We have been using it since Jan and unfortunately for now, I didn't get a chance to use the new samples that I received. I can still write my review about the products and I would love to share it will all of you...
I love the conditioner - it softens Kazi's hair and makes it easier to comb - she has natural hair and she is four years old.

This is the second step in the Johnsons baby Soft & Shiny Range
My little guy has severely dry hair so i look for intensive moisturization when i look for a conditioner and that's just what i found in The Johnsons baby Soft & Shiny conditioner.

It comes in a nifty see through bottle which is great because it helps you differentiate between shampoo and conditioner because we all know how hectic and frustrating bath time can get right? without the added problem of looking for which one is which.

It smells great just like the rest of the range which is a plus and from the instant it touches your baby's hair softens and intensively moisturizes!

I'm such a fan of this , so much so that i wish they made this for adults. Lets be honest, the dry climate helps no-one but knowing my baby's hair is protected and he's less moody and on edge when it comes to his hair is a HUGE relief and saves me time.

Now i have a happier toddler and an even happier Mama!

I totally love the shiny conditioner, it literally unraveled the coils of my baby's hair and I remember being so excited that it grew my baby's hair but her dad had to burst my bubble and said "no baby her hair was this length just that its was coiled and tangled in knots." I love how it gently covered her hair and scalp, its rich and creamy formula with glycerin left her hair knot-free and scalp full of moisture which means no more scratching.

The Soft & Shiny Conditioner with Glycerine is a truly lovely follow up to the Shampoo. I've been using this range since it came out, so I was ecstatic to review it.

After cleaning my toddler's hair with the Soft & Shiny Shampoo after a day of exploring in the garden, I use a generous amount on his hair, work it through and leave for a little bit before rinsing. Now, please note that if you use too much on short hair, it will get messy. I would suggest use as much as your baby's hair needs, and depending on how much hair your baby has. I use a little bit more than usual when I just co-wash his hair.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: As we do with our own natural hair, it's so important to de-tangle your baby's hair while it's wet and while there's conditioner on it to create "slip" i.e. make it easier for the comb to slide through the hair as you go.
Johnson's Soft & Shiny Conditioner creates a lovely "slip" for me and makes it so much easier to de-tangle his hair, and make his little curls pop! Please DO NOT use a thin toothed combed or baby combs on your child's natural hair? Just like ours, it'll only break or tangle the hair further. Rather use an afro comb - which I use - or a wide toothed comb to de-tangle and comb through effectively.

Did I mention the smell is absolutely amazing? And it lasts on the long after you've rinsed out. Not forgetting that Johnson's Baby Soft & Shiny has the Johnson's "No More Tears" signature stamp that we all love and trust. I've noticed that my son's hair is definitely softer and doesn't tangle as quickly as before. No more tears or moans from him while I comb through his hair.

I promised that I'd be honest to Johnson's about their product and what our babies need.
As a natural hair advocate mommy, what I'd love to see in future from Johnson's Baby is more natural oils added to their conditioner in addition to the glycerine, such as coconut, avocado or argan oil in the first 5 ingredients, and lesser chemical components. I'm happy that Johnson's has identified that baby's curly/ethnic hair is different and needs just a bit more TLC. And the more natural goodness inside the bottle, the happier the natural hair, baby and mommy :)

So this is day one of using this product and I'm super excited as IV notice less knots on her hair.. Well done @johnsons!!!

This product is amazing it has really strengthened my daughters hair it not longer breaks off. I will continuously use it on her as is has helped changed the quality of her hair making it extremely stronger.

Baby's hair was absolutely conditioned after using this and silky to the touch...totally worth the price and will be buying loads more...baby's hairline is growing back which is surprising because at age 1 their hair tends to fall off..he has a healthy fro going on there - too cute for words!

My favorite !

This is my favorite product from the three - step. It is thick and gently conditions my baby's hair, leaving it soft and really easy to comb. The glycerin helps to add moisture to the hair , I even use it on my 11 year old too. Go get this product and your baby's fro will love it, i will definitely continue using all the three step baby products
