Ok, now we know the teenage years can be a turbulent time and there are lots of things that may seem like MOUNTAINS, or HUGE obstacles to get over…and one of the things that may bother you is your skin, or perhaps your freckles or heck you whole damn appearance!

Well, you know what? You are your own unique person and it may just be these little idiosyncrasies that make you, YOU! So don’t stress too much about pimples or freckles or braces ok, because you will grow into a beautiful swan, I promise, and you will look back on these years with a knowing smile so don’t stress too much ok? Focus on the good stuff and there is lots! Also take a look at these 4 beauty busters to make you feel better!

Freckles? Freckles are gorgeous and they add character, and trust me your boyfriend one day will tell you the same thing! Don’t try too hard to cover them up, it will just make your skin look pasty and ‘dirty’ from too much make-up, rather use a tinted moisturiser which will partially cover them and also assist in evening out that gorgeous skin of yours!

Pimples? Yes, sigh, we have all been there. Try your best not to squeeze as they spread! Repeated squeezing also causes scarring so resist the urge. Rather apply some toothpaste before bed-time, and in the morning it will be smaller and more dried out I promise!
If it is still red the next morning apply some Visine to a cotton swab and dab the offending spot. This will reduce redness, and you can dab some concealer on it before you rush off to school. Sorted!

Braces ! Instead of worrying about how you look with the braces now, think of how smooth and gorgeous your pearly whites will be when they get removed! In the mean-time distract attention away from them with a super sexy lip gloss!

Oily skin ?
Having an oily skin is almost better as you age, as it shows fewer lines. We know that you don’t care about that now! So just make sure to clean your skin regularly with an oil free face wash, invest in a powder to dab on oily areas if your mum says its ok, and even ask her if she can get you some blotting tissues to use, Body Shop has great ones, that don’t break the budget! Voila!
Till next time and our next skin care secret
