This is a clay mask which is great for deep cleansing the pores from makeup and all the other gunk...Unlike some other clay masks I have used before that felt very drying, this mask leaves your skin moisturized and brighter. This is due to avocado oil which the mask contains. It has a lovely subtle smell, great smooth creamy consistency, easy to spread, dries nicely, easy to wash off. The container is also very user-friendly and easy to squeeze without creating a mess.

I haven't got anything bad to say it all. It is really recommended. It might seem expensive but it last a long time compared to sachet's masks from Dischem and Clicks that normally cost R15-20 for only a couple of uses.

Freeman also doesn't test on animals and include natural ingredients in their products.

I love Freeman products. I used to use the strawberry sugar scrub years ago when they were available at Dischem. Unfortunately they stopped selling them for a while, But I was super excited to see them back on the shelves a few months ago. Sadly, I noticed they had gone considerably up in price. I used to pay R20 for the scrub and now they cost R59. Also they don't have the strawberry scrub anymore. :( Anyway, let me carry on with my review. Today I had some retail therapy to help with my winter blues. One of the things I purchased was the Freeman Chocolate & Strawberry Facial Clay Mask. And with this came a free travel size sachet of another facial mask. I chose the tube with the Avocado & Oatmeal sachet attached. This little thing contains quite a lot of product and I could put lashings of this mask onto my face and neck and actually ran out of skin before I ran out of product. Haha.
It applies nice and smoothly with a slight cooling effect, but no burning or stinging. The mask is a light green color and the smell is very subtle and fresh. It doesn't smell like avo's or oatmeal. The consistency is fabulous, it's just thick enough. This mask also washed off fairly easily and didn't require lots of scrubbing like some masks. I got the whole mask off before I even used cleanser. The masks don't give a time frame for how long you should leave them on for, but it isn't rocket science. Once the product is dry and your skin feels tight then it's time to wash it off. The blurb promises tighter pores and removal of excess oil and dirt. My skin feels amazing. It's super soft and my pores actually do look smaller. My face feels clean and refreshed. The true test will be how my skin reacts. I have used many masks in the past that have caused me to severely breakout. I will have to see in a few days, but so far loving this mask and I will definitely recommend this.
