This is one of my favourite colours that Essie has come out with. But colour alone is not enough for me to justify spending over R100 on a nail polish. Because it's a pastel colour (a lovely blue-y purple) it's very difficult to apply without getting streaks. Often if you manage to get it right, if you apply a top coat before the polish is dry enough, that leaves streaks. It chips very quickly as well. The best way I've found, to get maximum wear and minimal streaking is to apply 3 thin coats with no top coat.

I love this colour.a pale bluey purple that looks gorgeous on my brown sandalled feet.when i take it to the salon it applies perfectly without chipping for 3 weeks.when i use it at home it seems to move and the effect is not the same.it looks gorgeous on my hands.only my application technique clearly needs work.buy it.u wont regret this versatile summery but quietly classy pastel

I must say even though i love the colour i am not a fan of essie. The colour is absolutely gorgeous and when it dries its a gorgeous purple blue. I don't like the brush or the way the polish applies even with a base coat on. It has a "sticky" feel when applied and the finish is not as smooth. Its price is very high and I cant say i would buy essie again. Lasted well on my toes but less than 2 days on my fingers. Thumbs up to their colour selection though!

my favorite lilac/purple colour from Essie! I think this was my 2nd Essie purchase Years back and I still keep on buying it. I like it even more than 'Nice is Nice' and wear it more often too!

At R89 this is quite a pricey brand of nail polish and I was always reluctant to spend that amount of money on it. So much so that my friends bought me this back from the UK (because I probably drove them nuts about wanting an Essie nail polish but moaned about the price).

I was overjoyed with the results and not at all disappointed with the quality of this nail polish. I've had it on for 2 full days (and I type furiously during the day) and there is not even 1 chip on the edges of my nails! The colour is a beautiful shade of purple - my favourite purple to date and I have tried out many different brands' purples (I am a pastel purple fan for my nails)

Added to the fact that this product is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free I'll definitely be purchasing more of these polishes.

The photo I attached is 2 layers of Essie Lilacism with no top coat - look how amazing the shine is!
