It's cheap but it does not chip quickly. It's probably the only nail polish I use. I love the nude colour. I always feel pretty once I've done my nails with it .

I use to hate doing my own nails, but the gel nail polish changed that. Its got a thick texture that lasts longer than other nail polishes its price and more. The brushes are a good quality. It dries quickly, for last minute plans.

I love this product especially since getting nails done at a salon can often be expensive ! Whats great about this product is it givens you a salon finish at a cheaper price. I also have incredibly weak nails and noticed an improvement since painting my nails with this product. There is also a range of amazing colours to choose from!

I am so happy to have found this range. I have been doing my nails for years but since moving to Jhb it has been quite difficult to find a nail technician that is constant and does not charge an arm and a leg.
So what I do - I go to any salon for just a natural gel overlay and then I play around with the the Gel colours! And it looks great! I struggle with very weak nail growth so i can go up to 6 weeks doing this without my nails chipping away.
And it has that salon look! I love the black - its such an amazing winter colour that just goes with anything.

Whilst living in Russia, I couldn't get my nails done anymore, it was way too expensive at R1000 for a manicure!
I had to learn to do my own nails.
I bought essence, the cute nail polish bottles got my attention and I loved that it was gel.
I now have almost every color, not only does it look super pretty on my dressing table, its a great nail polish if you know how to use it correctly.
Don't apply a thick layer to your nails, rather apply two or three thin layers and use drying spray in-between paints so that it does not get sticky.
It will last upto one week without chipping if you use a regular top coat, longer if you use invest in a higher quality top coat like Sally Hansen or Essie - and I'm a girl who takes really long showers and swims often.
Finish off with a good cuticle oil.
On fake nails it dries instantly.
The Matt options look superb!
Get a few glitter options to add texture to color.

Every time I go to Dischem or Clicks I always find myself at the essence cosmetics section and the first thing I'm attracted to is their nail polish! I love that they have a wide range of colours at reasonable prices.
To make sure that the nail polish lasts longer I always apply a base coat and top coat. The nail polish lasts about a week. Sometimes I o have to do a few touch ups as the week goes on.
The amazingly good thing about their products is that they say no to animal testing!

Essence is one of my favourite nail polish ranges. They always have the most amazing colour and plenty to choose from. I have been using Essence - The Gel range since it was released and I own almost every colour. I love that there’s always a new variety of colours to choose from as well my continuously re-stocked favourite go-to colours.
On top of everything they are cruelty free and don’t test on animals!

These cute nail polishes are perfect for a quick change of colour without throwing out more than R100.00 for one. It allows you to switch up your nail colour and play around with nail art (of which Essence also has a fun range).
Most of the time, with a double coat & Essence base coat on top, the polish would last about 3 days before chipping on my nails. Considering you're paying R22.00 for them, it's pretty great!

Essence has long been one of my favorite beauty brands because of its accessibility, variety and price. The Gel Nail Polish range reminds me exactly why I love this brand. For only R22 a bottle you can get pretty much any color under the sun. The brush spreads the nail polish perfectly across each nail, there is no strong odor and it dries quickly. I also love that with most colors you only have to do one coat as the colors are pretty opaque. This makes your mani time quick and easy.

Essence has always been slamming it with their great nail polishes. The Gel line is even better. The product is "thick" enough to coat your nail in a fully opaque colour in the 1st go and leaves your nails with that "gelled" look which looks expensive and professionally done.
The colour range is amazing and the price is unbeatable. The polish dries down fast and removes easily as well. So you could easily have a different nail look every few days. The brush shape is the best part. It is a square/oval brush instead of the old-school slim brushes that messed up the sides of your nails. The range is a must to have in your collection a absolute life saver, the fact that it is quick drying and stays on for weeks before fading is amazing, especially when you a mom, wife and working woman. I simply love and am obsessed with the gel range from essence!! Available at clicks for R29.99 which is damn affordable!!! It coats your nails beautifully with a slightly broader brush and just two coats of this looks like you've been at the salon for a mani pedi! And removal is just normal nail polish remover without acetone.. Simply love it and they available in a range of colours and glitter! I can't express how much I love this enough! Your nails will love you for this!

I Love these Essence nail polishes, I have throw all my other nail polishes out and now only use this brand. I even buy it for gifts for others. The quality is the best, I can paint today and three weeks later is still looks perfect. The are also affordable to the pocket.

Essence is one of my favorite brands when it comes to nail polish. Nail polish does not last more than two days on my nails, so to have an affordable nail polish that I can reapply after two days is great. They also have a large variety of colors to choose from and although choosing can be difficult. But I always tell myself that I can buy three to four Essence polishes for the price of one bottle of other nail polish brands.

2. Price - it is only a nail polish, not an Ipad...These items are extremely affordably priced.
3. Quality and lasting power - These apply fully opaque for the most part with a few formula misses here and there on some of the very milky, light colours such as yellow. It lasts longer on my nails than some of my more expensive brands.

So guys, I have two shades of this essence nail polish and I can honestly say that I would gladly work on building quite a collection. The formula is not to thick and not too thin, just the right consistency. What I love the most is that the applicator brush is slightly curved on the edges which makes application a breeze.
To ensure that you have long lasting nail polish it is recommended that you also purchase a base coat and a finishing coat that essence does produce. Using the base coat and finishing coat, the nail polish would easily last for about 2+ weeks.

I absolutely love this nail polish! The perfect formula is a base coat, two coats of colour, and a top coat, and I find that mine lasts at least a week. Even after that, it has such minimal chipping that you can get away with it. I would recommend that you apply quite thin coats though, as I found that when I applied it too thickly, the polish peeled off once it had dried.

Such an affordable brand of nail polishes. I love Essence's products and was eager to try their new gel range. I am very hard on my nails and rarely a nail polish lasts more that 2-3days with me. I bought the mint colour and was so happy that I got at the most 4 days wear with minimal chipping. Two coats of the polish does the trick and had a definite gel look to it. Definitely purchasing some of the other shades on the range!

So I finally decided to try these nail polishes. I got them in two colours, 46 Black is back and 52 Amazed by you , which is a berry shade.
I love the consistency of this polish. I found it really easy the apply. The colour pay off is great. I found that my nails stayed shiny even after hadwashing. They lasted about three days without a touch up. I did not use a base coat so I assume they would last longer with one. They only chipped along the tip which was easy to touch up. The price and size of this range was not appealing.I bought one bottle and was impressed at the high shine,lasting quality of this product.One application of two layers of nailvarnish lasted for a week.I will definetly repurchase,wish the size was bigger.

This specific range of nail polishes from Essence is incredible! I have bought several other expensive brands' nail polishes in the past, and have been disappointed. These nail polishes require only 2 coats for dense colour, and last for ages before chipping. In fact, I usually need to re-do my nails because of the regrowth, rather than them having chipped. For the price, I think there is nothing better, and I will continue to purchase more and more shades of these fab nail polishes.
