I have two of these polished and I must say that they are a get value for the money. It is super affordable and they have such a good range of colours to choose from. Its always important to use a good top coat with them as they will last longer. Will definitely be purchasing more of them. I have quite a nail polish collection including Nail Inc. and OPI and I definitely still enjoy using these on a daily basis.
Plus these are a great stocking filler for Christmas or for a gift!

The Essence Gel polishes are great value for money. They come in a very wide range of shades. They do not last more than 3 or 4 days on my nails (I am particular hard on my nails), but for the price I really can't complain! At the moment I am very impressed with shade no. 58 'need your love'! Definitely comparable to one of my all time favourites - Essie 'wicked'

I love this! The price is reasonable and when compared to other brands with the same price range, Essence stands out from the rest.
The colour in their gel line is rich. Often, just one coat is enough and their wide brush makes application fast and easy!

The Essence The Gel range is on of my favourites for a quick fix if I can't afford to buy the name brand nail polish or go to the salon to get my nails done. Its easy to use (the application brush is good). It dries quickly plus it gives you that gel look. I'd definetly recommend this to anyone only downside is that its a little smaller than usual brands but its very cheap if you buy it at Dischem or Clicks

Love how essence has affordable products but this nail polish is definitely prone to chipping. And I usually find it gets sticky instead of completely drying out in my opinion. Would recommend you try it as it is affordable, but not a personal favourite.

I received the shades, 75 perfect match, as well as, 77 dreaming of love?, from beauty bulletin and I absolutely love the 75 perfect match was my absolute favourite.
The application was really easy and the colour was perfect from the first stroke, however you can add another layer if you want the colour to show more. The nail polish also dried extremely fast. I do not have much patience so the fact that these dried very fast was absolutely perfect.
I also liked the brush, it is wider than other nail polish brands, but it personally made the application process easier as it evenly spread on the nail.
Now what I didn't like was the fact it cracked and chipped really fast. My nail polish chipped within 2 days and after washing my hair it was completely ruined. Although the application process was easy for me, it did become a little messy as it went onto my skin as well but that didn't bother me.
Overall, I would purchase this product, it is about R30 at clicks which I consider affordable. The nail polish glides on easily, and dries quickly but it does chip and crack really fast as well. If you love doing your nails at home then this would definitely be the nail polish for you because they have a ton of different coloursto experiment with.

Application brush size is a dream the wider the nail is. It however smudges so much if nails are broader. Thick brush also makes it difficult to reach the nail edges without over-smudging.
For me personally, the nail polish on my nails doesnt last very long. I must say though that the nail polish lasts so much longer when applied to artificial nails..

I am the type of person where my mind is always running a million miles an hour and my wheels are always turning, honestly I can barely keep up with my own thoughts. And so I’m sure you can imagine that it takes a lot to quiet my mind; whatever activity I am doing in that moment needs to entirely consume my mind and one of the few activities that does that successfully is doing my nails.
You can’t speak about nail polish without assessing the brush first. So let me just start off by saying I don’t know who designed the essence nail polish brushes, but they did a great job because it is literally perfection. It makes application so easy leaving your nail polish looking smooth without a single patch even with just one coat.

The thing i love about this product the most is the brush that it comes with. It has a wide brush that can cover the nail more and when the nail polish is a thin layer, its the best and dries way faster. I have many colours and the ladies in my family also use them alot.
Essense is definitley a good brand.
The nail polish is pigmentated so you really dont have to apply alot of coats unless its a really light colour and you want it to have more colour.

Between my sisters and I, we own almost every shade from this collection. Whats not to love? Its an affordable way to having neat looking nails without the expensive salon price. The Gel finish is beautiful and it dries really fast!
As a fashion designer, I work with my hands daily and put a lot of strain on my nails so I'm lucky if I can go 7 days without chipping the colour. For me, 7 days is good enough, especially at this price and touching up is quick and easy.

Essence has really nailed it with this range of nail polish. It is really affordable, and available almost everywhere. There is a wide range of colours to pick from - the "dare it nude" shade is my favourite. The consistency of the polish is also really good, one coat will definitely do, but I like to add an extra coat.
The only con would be that it does not last that long on the nails. After about 2 days some chipping might occur. But it definitely doesn't stop me from wanting to buy more shades.

this is a must have product, i have been using it since the begging of last year, and i fell in love with nail polish, as a working mother of a toddler i never have time to do my nails as often as i would like. I have a large nail product collection and mainly thanks to the super low price of the Essence brand. I love having a variety of colours to choose from and I generally grab a bottle with each Dischem visit.
They continually change the range of colours so its always fun to check on new stock.
I really enjoy the shape of the brush and the ease of its application. It does have a good coverage and finish.
Finish it off with a high end topcoat and you're good to go.

The essence gel range are a true life saver,being a wife and working lady ,i dont alway have time for having my nails done at a salon ,but with essence gel range ive had so many people ask me at what salon have you had you nails done and ofcourse what do i do? *smile :)* cause my trusted and tried essence nail polish has given me the best gel look , one coat usually last longer then applying a few coats but if yo do want a more intense colour a few colour usually does the trick, there a polish i usually use of essence its like a white under coat you put on before you apply a colour and it looks gorge and intense and no one will miss your stunning nails ,the colour range is amazing ,beautiful application and the price is really good ciao for now xx

I Received the amazing Red ( I forgot the exact name of the colour, oops)Christmas Gel Nail Polish In the Essence Advent Calendar. I immediately tried it on and I fell in love straight away. I applied the colour to my bare nail , waited for 5 minutes and then applied a second coat. The colour is so rich, not streaky at all or clumpy and the best part is that it doesn't take long to dry.
For me personally the colour stayed on for about 2 weeks before the tips starting chipping. So overall amazing product has the shine of gel nail polish without the hefty price. The colour is stunning for the Christmas festive time and I find it goes with all my outfits and looks.

I have always loved doing my nails myself as I change the colour so often... I'm a total nail polish junky! I love Essence nail polish and the amazing variety of colours they stock. The price is really affordable so you don't feel guilty buying them often or even buying 3 or 4 of them at the same time. The brush is nice and broad which means you don't have to swipe over your nail so much, 2 or 3 strokes would do it. Look the quality is good but it will start to chip in the first 2 or 3 days, but what nailpolish does not start to chip? Using a good base coat and top coat would make it last longer, like any polish.
I can never justify spending more than R50 on nail colours now that Essence is here, they offer so many great colours and I love to play around with it.

I love essence products! Especially the nail polishes. It's very affordable especially for a student like me. The brush is really amazing compared to the other brands because it allows for better coverage and less mess.

Love this brand of nail polish, the brush is round which is the perfect shape for that even polish, doesn't take forever to dry, doesn't clump, paints smoothly, nail polish doesn't dry out quickly so you could leave it out the fridge ;) all in all my favorite nail polish brand also not to mention they have tons of different shades! and you can find these little angels in clicks or dischem :)

In terms of the price, I highly recommend this product. To date I have purchased 4 of the Essence the Gel rage: in mint, dark red purple and of course the top coat! However, I do have to add that it does not last that long. It could perhaps last a little longer if i use it in conjunction with the base coat.

I love these nail polishes i use them all the time in conjunction with the top and base coat. I looks beautiful and just like your gelish that you would do at a traditional salon. It doesnt last as long though. I use water a lot so that's my only issue.

I have two shades now in The Gel nail polish, and much prefer it over the brands I've used in the past. The polish makes for a smooth application, and is thick enough that one coat is sufficient!
The colours are vibrant and intense, and the polish lasts about 3-4 days without a base and top coat before it begins to chip badly.

I liked the older version of Essence's nail polishes (Colour & Go) better. I own about 6 shades. Though Essie is my favorite nail polish brand I buy new ones from Essence because they're extremely affordable and colour range is very diverse. The quality varies from shade to shade. Some of them are very opaque- one coat is enough. But most of them chip very fast. The applicator could be thinner.

I often change my nail colour so I am always looking for unique and affordable polishes. The Essence Gel Polishes are perfect for this and there is a huge variety of shades! My favourite shades are the dark reds/ maroons and more recently I have tried a shade called, "Dare it Nude" which is awesomely on trend at the moment. I wish they came in bigger bottles though as I tend to go through it quite quickly. Great price for a terrific product.

I am a huge fan of essence, there have been very few times that their products have disappointed me. I've been buying their nail polishes for a long time now, even before it became all about the gel nail polish. I love these nail polishes because they come in such a wide variety of colours and they apply really easily. The brush is also wide, which is perfect for me.
The only trouble that I have had with these gel nail polishes is that I found that they tend to go thicker a lot quicker. I have only used the bottle about 3 or 4 times before it starts going thick.
But other than that, it's a great product. And it's cheap, which is always a plus

This is a gorgeous mauve color , which I am loving for the almost autumn . Its a great color to transition from autumn to winter with as these seasons are all about these moody colors .

I love this brand , they have gorgeous colors and they are high quality . This is a reddish pink color with a high shine . They are long lasting and dont chip easily .
They last even longer with a top coat on .
These are really budget friendly and great for the gal that loves new colors on her nails all the time .

This gel nail polish in question is clear with loads of gold glitter in it. It applies easily and looks quite amazing. It's not too over the top though so you can still rock it during the day but it's oh so perfect for a night out :p.. Like all the other nail polishes in the range it is relatively long lasting and definitely worth more than it costs.

These nail polishes are nothing short of amazing .The Quality surpasses the price you pay .i love the glossy look of it and it's longevity compared to other brands. Ive tried most of the colors and have purchased a black one as well, I'm venturing on the dark side haha.

Love the cuteness and variety that the nail polishes comes in.
Just as a disclaimer, I am obsessed with getting a gelish (light - cured) treatment done. I then realized that my nail treatment does not last as long on my nails because I have very dry and flaky nails and so my gelish would start flake off by my tips and considering the fact that nail treatments are not the cheapest things ever, having it come off within a week or so is quite a bummer.
I then decided to go back to my Varsity love for Essence nail polishes and I came across the Gel Nails range and I thought hey, this is affordable and the colours are pretty so let me try them out. I was also thinking that if they do not last long, I could always reapply them because they come with regular old nail polish remover.
So I bought a few shades and I must say I love them. I do need to apply a few layers on my nails, especially with the Sweet As Candy colour (MY FAVORITE SHADE), but it looks perfect and delicate once I have applied a few layers. It is adorable. The glossy finish is cute, even if you do not apply the top coat that they have in the range, it still looks great.

Being this cheap, one wouldn't think that a nail polish could look as good as getting your nails done at the salon. I was pleasantly surprised with the product and comes in great shades to match the popping summers to dark winters. Would like to change the shape of the bottle though it makes the product look a nit child-like. Quality, is just great! Love this!

I love the colours. I bought a mint and a red one. The only negative thing that I have to say is that you have to apply two layers for the colour to pop other than that I think that it's a steal because it's super cheap and the colours are gorgeous. You have to reapply after 3-4 days though but I always use a top coat in order for it to last longer.
