Product information The Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup (Foundation) is the latest improved version of the popular Elizabeth Arden Sponge-On Cream foundation. It contains micronized diamond powder to give your skin a flawless, luminous finish. It is available in an impressively wide range of 14 shades (including an expanded range for women of colour) to suit all skin tones. It is suitable recommended for dry to normal skin. My experience This was my first time using an Elizabeth Arden foundation and I am truly impressed with its quality. The packaging is elegant, sophisticated and expensive-looking, consisting of a mirrored compact container with a gold outline and the classic red door and an application sponge. It is definitely a compact foundation you will want to carry around for touch-ups! The foundation itself glides on smoothly and blends well and offers medium, buildable coverage- you can get an even more sheer finish by applying the foundation with a moist sponge. I love the fact that you can immediately see the radiance to your skin as you apply the foundation and its creamy texture makes it quite moisturising. Furthermore, the darker areas on my face were flawlessly covered without needing that much of the product. As much as the creamy texture is an advantage, I felt that it was a bit heavy for my combination skin- my face started heating up after applying the foundation but cooled down after a few minutes. I’m also not fond of the scent of the foundation and experienced quite a bit of transfer (onto clothes) with the foundation, hence I think it needs to be set with a finishing powder.
