A gorgeosly gold packaged rectangular gloss. The box has an inlet to see the colour being purchased. The gloss is of medium consistency aand slides onto lips with ease.

So, after a bust-up with my post office, I finally received my MAY review product from Beauty Bulletin last Friday (only a whole month late SAPO, well done)
“Beauty is the birth right of every women” those famous words by Ms.Arden resonated through my mind when I finally received my white envelope. Upon tearing it open I was all smiles when I saw the beautiful gleaming golden box. It was the same feeling you would feel if finding Willy Wonka’s golden ticket.
The box is simple, elegant, too-the-point and luxurious. It is a mirrored-gold effect with writing done in black. The front has a silver insert with a window allowing the proud owner to see the colour of gloss. The under of the box has the number and name of variant you’ve chosen. The iconic Red Door logo and red Elizabeth Arden name-head bestows the silver insert. As I opened the box I was left amazed, such attention to detail! The inner of the box is fire hot red, the absolute height of indulgence; like the red soles of a Louboutin.
The lipgloss tube is clean-lined, rectangular and very retro. It’s sleek polished look for a lip gloss. There is no writing on the tube as the Red Door logo on the square shaped gold lid says it all. Why use words when this logo screams out all the information you need. Under the gold lid is a silver squared band. These 2 metal looking finishes are lush and feel oh!so exclusive. The canister is a clear plastic tube that allows the colour to be the main attention. There is a convenient mirror on one side; this is so handy when application time arrives.
The applicator is white; this is perfect for getting to see the truest colour of the gloss. The brush is so unique as it’s flat and much larger than other gloss applicators. This though, is really helpful in achieving a quick, full and easy application in one swipe.
The formula for me is “goopy” and I found it to be a bit sticky but not in a gummy feel where lips get stuck together after rubbing together. It was sticky in the way that my blowing hair always got stuck onto my perfectly pink pout. The gloss (whilst on) left my lips looking plump, feminine and healthy. The little specks of glitter enhanced the overall pinky Barbie looked and wasn’t gritty and lumpy. When the gloss effect starts to wear-off, lips are left with a hinge of colour reminiscent of a lip-stain. Now the best part- The epic sweet Vanilla scent :D It makes wearing this gloss an absolute treat! The smell is wildly noticeable upon application yet not over-whelming, it does dissipate after a while whilst on your lips.
The experience of using and now owning this gloss is phenomenal! It truly is a luxurious product that makes you feel empowered and exclusive whilst wearing (well, for me anyway) at R195 it is considered more of an up-class item but is one that serves the most benefit to any Women’s essentials. So, skip on your fav coffee for 2 weeks and treat yourself to this golden packaged delight.
