Being a fan of Dove soap bars and shower cream I thought i would try the nourushing firming cream when my other brand ran out. At first try I didn't like the scent although I know that comes down to personal choices. The lotion is very thin,I thought this would help nourishment and absorption. It however left my skin very dry and gave me no nourishment at all. I applied it twice a day and did not notice any firming effects on my skin after using the entire bottle comoared to previous brands . I would not purchase this product again or recommend it to anyone.

I received a 250ml bottle of the Dove Firming Nourishing Lotion with a toning effect from Beauty Bulletin to review. I did not use any other products in conjunction with this body lotion to ensure that I could trace the effects of this lotion. Below are my observations after use.

1st impressions: The body lotion has a slightly thin texture, which makes it a great summer lotion. It is a lightweight body lotion that absorbs quickly and easily into the skin without leaving any residue or the skin feeling clogged. On application, I could really feel the lotion sinking into my skin. Afterwards, my skin felt intensely moisturised and hydrated. It is lightly fragranced. However, I did not notice any toning effect during the 24 hours of first use.

After 3 weeks of use, I have not experienced any toning effect. There are many favours that come into play regarding skin elasticity and toning, e.g. diet, exercise, etc, working from the inside out. This lotion is supposed to work from the outside in. However, on me it does not produce any noticeable results. The Firming lotion is a great moisturiser for the warmer months because it is lightweight.

Skin is more toned only 24 hours after a single application. Thumbs up for this one!
