DIY Beauty Foot Crack Saver

Ladies, ladies, beauty ladies, now that we are fully into summer and are bringing out our beautifully pedi’ed toes we must never forget about our heels, it looks so ugly and uncared for when ladies have the most amazing strappy heels or gladiators on, stunning toesies and then cracked heels.

I know in winter some of us let our feet “go” since they are always in boots and pumps but why not take advantage of that and put a dolp of cream on your heels before wearing your boots? Promise it will make a huge difference!

The best advice I can ever give about heels is one that I never listened to and I am now suffering the consequences and that is to LEAVE them alone, don’t over scrub with a pummie stone or those terrible graters. Yes they will get a bit rough every now and again but nothing that a little aqueous cream and socks wont cure.

What I have decided to do is give you ladies some great D.I.Y tips to help your heels out this Summer.

• Firstly, ex-foliating is a must nothing will work on your heels with a whole lota dead skin on them, so scrub away!

• Apply a thick coat of cream on the feet, wear a pair of thick socks. Leaving this on overnight can surely provide positive results in few days. Aqueous cream is a really affordable option and works very well.
• Apply the pulp of a ripe banana on the dry or cracked area of the heel. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse it clean. This is a simple dry cracked heels home remedy and it can be used on a daily basis to prevent and treat dry and cracked heels.
• Soak the feet in lemon juice for about 10minutes. It is best to soak your feet in a lemon juice solution and then lightly scrub it with a loofa or soft foot brush to gently ex-foliate the top layers of dead skin that cause dry cracked heels.
• If you aren’t on a budget then a paraffin-wax pedicure is a must!

This is an amazing little all natural tip I read, definitely worth trying: Grind a handful of rice until you get a fine but coarse flour. Add a few spoons of raw honey to the mixture along with enough apple cider vinegar to obtain a thick paste. If the cracks are very deep, add a spoon of olive oil. Soak feet for 20 minutes & gently massage with this paste– you don’t have to be old for feet like this, you just have to hate wearing shoes.

Give yourself a lovely treat and enjoy, once your heels match your lovely toesies I promise you will feel extra pretty! FYI beach sand is amazing for ex-foliating, plus that’s an extra excuse to go to the beach! Get your beauty going with this tip!
