Dior Vernis Nail Varnish in 253 Rose Dauphine/Pink Icing

A bright milky, candy-pink colour which is achieved after 3-4 applications, otherwise after 1-2 coats a slight pink toned glossy varnish that enhances the natural colour of the nail bed. I like the fact that it is a varnish that can be worn either way depending on my mood at the time. What i love about this varnish is the fact that it is very easy to apply even for messy painters such as me, it has an unusually wide applicator brush which basically enables you to apply one coat in one maybe two applications (depending on the size of the nail bed), this is time saving as well as neater than other varnish brush applicators. The only aspect I did not like about the varnish is that when i applied 3 coats it smudged a bit and did not last as long as when I applied only 1-2 coats.

This is my first Dior nail polish so I must admit my expectations were high. The colour of the polish is a very pretty pale candyfloss pink colour with fine multi-coloured shimmer. The polish itself is very sheer and takes 3 coats to achieve the same colour intensity as the bottle but the whites of the nails are still visible. The shimmer is subtle and only really shows in bright light. The formula of the polish is very good, the curved brush makes it very easy to apply, it dries quickly and has a shiny finish. I really like this colour but I do wish it was more opaque considering how expensive the product is. This polish lasted for a full week without a top coat and only had minimal tip wear. I’m not sure if I’d purchase this product myself due to the cost but I’m very glad to have it in my collection.
