I received this mascara with the Clinique Bonus this month. It's an amazing mascara which gives you long, beautiful lashes without all the drama of false eyelashes. This mascara has beautiful dark black pigments which enhance the look of lashes and make them look longer and much more defined, without any clumps or lumps on lashes. I also love how the brush separates my lashes without making them stick together and look all weird.
This mascara has been touted as one of the best in the biz and is loved by many! I am definitely a fan, this has been my go-to mascara for years now.
what I love: the mascara has a deep rich pigment I especially love it in beautyfying black. i also love the fat wide brush that it has, it coats all my lashes and really gives them an oomph. I have quite long thick lashes as is, but this takes them to a new level. Two sweeps is all you need!
What to watch: the formulation is quite thick, so I always sweep through my wet lashes with a separate clean brush to make sure they done stick together.
got this mascara as a sample first and absolutely loved it! after the first application my lashes were big, sexy and gorgeous. It really make your eyes pop and beautiful big brush just adds more oomph. would recommend this product without a doubt!
I received this freebie in my latest Glamour magazine and was super excited to try it out. I haven’t used this one by Clinique and was keen to compare it to the one I’m using.
Brush: Its not too big and I didn’t have difficulty using it. Its pretty standard size I’d say.
Application: This was quite seamless and very clean.
Volume: This didn’t provide va-va-voom volume I’ve come to excect from my mascara. I felt it just coated my lashes with a bit of lengthening.
Separation: This did provide good lash separation but my lashes weren’t sky high and there certainly wasn't any thickening.
Overall, this is not the greatest mascara out there as it just gives average looking lashes. My lashes were not big and bold and didn’t provided what the ad blurb says. Quite disappointed as Clinique mascaras are generally very good.
I got this mascara today and WOW!!!!!! Though I have long eyelashes the mascara does a brilliant job of making them so bold that they pop :) Its as though I have butterfly wings on my eyes :) :) :) :) BRILLIANT ..................... A definate try!
According to Clinique's website this mascara is "New richly pigmented shade gives eyes instant brightening power-it's clinically proven. Kicks up the volume and length of each and every lash for a look that's lusher, plusher, bolder. Pure, deep colour only adds to the impact. Wear it once and you'll feel naked without it. Ophthalmologist Tested."
My thoughts: The mascara applies well but I find that I need to make sure that when brushing my lashes that I take it slow and use gentle strokes, else my lashes tend to clump a bit. But that being said, when the lashes stick together wiggling the wand's bristles separates the lashes well.
The mascara makes my lashes look thicker and longer with just two coats. I love that you get the best of both worlds with this mascara - volume and length. The black is also an lovely rich, intense black that I personally like a lot. the rich colour means that some people would only wear this at night but I like dark lashes and find this perfect for day and night - and that's another great thing about this mascara, it looks great all day long so you can easily go from day to night without having to touch up during the day.
Would I buy the full size? In all honesty, I think when I am in a spending mood I would buy this. I have days where I want my lashes to look different - I have different mascaras for length, volume, dark black, light black....this mascara is perfect for days where you can't decide between thick or long lashes or when you simple want it all.
this almost always pops up in the Clinique Bonus gifts so I have quite a large stash of them. It's the only mascara I actually use on a regular basis. It doesn't clump badly or leave black streaks all over the place and my lashes definitely look thicker and curlier. A must-have.
