Clinging to Your Cleavage

Gain more confidence with these beauty tips that help accentuate your cleavage. Find out more here.

Okay, so as women we know everything there is to know about beauty…from beauty tips on hair,, makeup and skin care to premenstrual pick me uppers and manicuring your lady garden. The thing is that in this day and age, we often forget one of our most feminine assets…that’s right ladies, look at it as an asset, your cleavage!

As the skin is sensitive and elegant on our necks, so is the tender skin that wrinkles as easily as under your eyes, our chest. We begin our daily cleansing ritual by washing our necks and faces, toning our neck and faces and then finally moisturising our delicate skin. But why don’t we take more care of our chests…our treasure chests!

Being a woman is all about carefully creating a veiled line between vanity and security. You can enhance your confidence by showing a little cleavage, or you could possible be spilling out of your dress as the wenches did in the 1800’s. So before you think that this article “shares” too much, just remember that it is the way you wear it that makes all the difference.

So here are a few tips on how to accentuate your lovely ladies and keep your skin looking young!

Because the skin on your chest and between your cleavage have a number of oil glands, your skin on that delicate area is more susceptible to damaging sun spots. This should be treated on a weekly basis and you should use anti wrinkle cream on this area at least twice a week. When you are out and about playing sandcastles in the sun, wear an SPF that protects while allowing you to catch a glow. This would be a lower SPF and Piz Buin works the best in my opinion.

Illuminate: If you are heading out for the evening and planning to show a little skin, then why not illuminate your chest by powdering on some powder. I slight bronzer works wonderfully and if applied moderately, causes the illusion of a longer neck line. What also works wonders is if you wear a push up bra, put your top on and then protect your top by inserting a facial tissue. Once that is in place, you use a dark powder in between your breasts and brush up toward your neck. Take a lighter powder and blend it up until you reach your collar bone. Do this is the shape of a V the tip of the V being between your “ladies”.

Correct Bra: Now, as I am sure you have all heard, wearing the correct bra makes all the difference. The problem with this is that women either don’t know or don’t have the time to figure it out. So while I have your attention, I will break it down for you. You need to use a measuring tape that wraps around your “peaks” all the way to your back. Basically a circle is formed around your bust and waist. This is your band size. Next, its finding your cup size! If you would like some lift and have a small size, then you should look for a padded bra. The cup shouldn’t be holding or restricting you to the extent that your bust is being strangled! It should be a comfortable fit but offer support. If you bend over, your attributes should not be spilling to the floor! It is always best to go to a professional bra fitter if you have the time, and from there on outward, you should be able to wisely select your own!

Here is some general information, if you weren’t already aware of:

  • If, for example, you are a 36C…36 would be your band size while C would be your cup size.
  • If you do decide to get “fitted” by a professional, you should wear a loose fitting bra that contains no padding.
  • Do not measure yourself if you do decide to try and see what size you should be. This is because you will not get as an accurate reading as you would with someone that is measuring you.
  • If you are shy, you are able to wear a top with thin cotton. Remember that the thicker the shirt you wear, the less accurate your measurements will be.
  • When you do get fitted make sure you pull your bra straps tighter as it lifts your breasts. This will aid in a more accurate size measurement will be possible as the person measuring you can also measure underneath your cup.

So as you now know, it is unnecessary to get your “plastic” on as you can create the illusion of a bigger, firmer and more voluptuous bossom!

All you need to do is know which bra size is best suited to you and how to create the simplified V with dark and light bronzer…and with these weapons in your makeup bag, you are sure to gain that boost of confidence that will make you all the more sexy for your Mr Grey! Enjoy “ladies” *wink wink *nudge nudge!
