I'm a firm believer that a good primer equals a good makeup day. So when I saw this product, and its inexpensive price, I thought I'd give it a go.
I purchased the green Prime and Fine Primer as I have very fair skin, so any redness usually shows through my foundation. Now Catrice promises that this primer minimizes shine and reduces pore visibility whilst giving skin a mattifying look. This is not the case at all. Aside from the weird scent, the product just really does not work. It has a greasy feeling after applying it to the skin, and to be honest, the green does not do much. My face was very oily after about only 2 hours of wear (under my usual foundation), and my makeup came off with the slightest touch (it would transfer on my glasses etc.)
I gave this primer a shot a few times, and switched up my makeup application, but was left disappointed every time.
I do not like this product much because it doesn't leave it clear but gives a whitish effect. It also leaked multiple times in my bag and I had to throw it away, don't recommend this to anyone

This was the very first primer that I ever tried. I thought it was appropriate when I looked at the price.
I have oily (combination skin) and this primer didn't help to minimise shine throughout the day. I tried it with and without a setting spray and my make up seemed to make it to the end of the day when I had the setting spray on. Without the setting spray, I found myself having to blot and freshen up almost every 2 hours. This is not ideal for a person who works all day.
I've tried it on my t-zone only and on my entire face too and I end up with the same shine and admin regardless.
It does help to reduce the appearance of my pores and in turn my make up feels like it sits on my face better. This paired with a good facial expert brush for application seemed to be a good combination.
It probably works better for people who have dry skin, but I would not repurchase it again.
I recently purchased the Prime and Fine (pore refining anti-shine base) by Catrice Cosmetics. I have really come to love this product. It works great for my skin type and keeps my makeup in place for hours. I'm sure there are other brands out there that probably work ten times better but this product works great for me. I have very sensitive skin and this product works great.
This was the first primer I ever bought because it was so reasonably priced, but after using it, I did not notice any difference, and the green one has glitter particles which my foundation didn't cover which in result made it look like I put shimmer all over my face, after using the MAC prep and prime, this primer is really not that effective

I am having mixed feelings with this product at the moment. The reason for that being is that I have also been testing the new Yardley illuminating primer. When you test two products, you cannot help but draw comparisons. Yes, to be totally unbiased, the Catrice primer does create a smooth canvas and there are no sight of pores, and yes it does assist in my foundation staying on longer. But I am not loving it. I am liking it.
Having bought a few Catrice products and loved them, I thought I would give the primer a try. Unfortunately it didn't do much for my skin and there is an insane amount of glitter in the product.
I purchased the Catrice Prime and Fine Anti-Red Base because I struggle with terrible red pigmentation in my skin, especially in my T-zone.
I'm sad to say this product is basically unusable to me, purely due to the fact that it contains an insane amount of glitter! It basically made my face look like a disco ball! It is a pity, because the product is reasonably priced and has quite a nice texture to it - applies easily and is non-greasy. It did also help to refine my pores, and I found it helped slightly in covering up the redness, but definitely not as much as I would have liked.
All in all, I would give this primer another try if the amount of glitter in it was corrected.
I was looking for a primer since using MAC's - obviously stopped purchasing because of the price after becoming more budget savvy (:
I purchased this product from Dischem after reading the reviews on here and the great price. My face has a slight red tinge to it which I can not stand, it really isn't that bad - but you know when something bothers you but no one else sees it?! Well it's like that... Unfortunately it doesn't do much for the redness but works ok as a primer.
ALSO it has a shimmer to it. I apply it after my moisturizer, before my foundation. The foundation takes away some of the shimmer but I'd prefer no shimmer at all. For that reason I won't purchase the Anti-Red Base again, but I'll try the Pore Refining Anti Shine one! Why not!
It applies smoothly but not as silicone'y as I know MAC's to be. But it absorbs nicely, I sometimes apply twice. My pores do look smaller which I love. That's why I'll try the Pore Refining Anti Shine one which I hope will help a bit with my oily skin, although I think this one does to some extent too.
Great primer as a budget choice; it refined my pores slightly but no luck reducing redness.
