My #1 Skincare Routine

It is no secret that Estée Lauder is one of my absolute favourite brands when it comes to skincare as well as makeup.  This iconic brand delivers almost immediate and lasting results.  My skin type is oily and although I am quite lucky not to suffer from bad acne, I do break out whenever I try new products and without fail whenever my cycle comes around.  Thanks to this routine, my skin looks and feels fantastic!  It took me a while to discover this routine and I would like to share it, because I am sure that it would work just as well for some of you.

PM

After a long day of work, preparing a meal and working through homework, I always look forward to taking my makeup off and really pamper my dull and dehydrated skin.  The first thing I do is exfoliate with the Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Cleansing Gelee / Refiner to remove most of my makeup (this product is gentle, but it gets the job done).  I then follow with the Perfectly Clean Creme Cleanser / Moisture Mask (this cleanser doubles as a mask when left on for 3 minutes and really hydrates) .  Next I go in with the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (this gem will leave your skin so silky and radiant).  Finally, I finish off with the Enlighten Even Skintone Correcting Creme (this products penetrates well and does even out skintone).  I alternate between the Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Cleansing Gelee / Refiner and the Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Toning Lotion / Refiner.  I find that I cannot use both as it is too much exfoliation for my skin.  Since the Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Toning Lotion / Refiner is basically a micro-exfoliator, it makes perfect sense to alternate.

AM

After a good nights rest, I am always eager to prep my skin for my favourite thing in the whole wide world - makeup.  Since my skin does not need heavy duty cleaning in the morning, I wash my face with the Perfectly Clean Foam Cleanser / Purifying Mask (this really eliminates oil build-up).  I then follow with the Clear Difference Advanced Blemish Serum (this serum does reduce pore size over time and heals break outs).  Next I go in with the Clear Difference Oil Control / Mattifying Hydrating Gel (this moisturizer penetrates well to mattify and hydrate at the same time) .  Finally, I finish off with the Matte Perfecting Primer mostly on my T-zone.  I consider primer a skincare step as it smoothes texture and creates a barrier on your skin.  Of course you do not need to use a moisturizer as well as a primer.  Either or will work, but I find that both make a killer combo.

SIDE NOTES

I order online from Estée Lauder quite often and therefore always receive free samples.  I have never had to purchase a full size moisturizer as 1 sample size lasts me a whole month.  Before I run out, I usually get to to replenish as depending on how much you spend, you can get 2-3 samples at a time.  All of these products mesh together really well and makeup applies beautifully on top.

I really hope that some of you found this information helpful and will consider giving these products a go.  I know they cost a pretty penny, but the quality is worth it, the results are worth it and they will last you a good few months as you only need to use minimal amounts at a time.

Remember:  Great skin care is the first step to complexion perfection!
