L’Oréal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation

L’Oréal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation

I've been testing the L'OREAL Infallible 24H-Matte Mattifying foundation for almost 2 weeks now and basically below are my conclusion of my new purchase.

Firstly I have dry combination sensitive skin and basically my face needs to be washed with gentle face washes. During the day I tend to get extremely oily, which can be very annoying. I generally use the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild, Mild Clarifying Lotion and the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion).

So my initial thought was to try the foundation using my everyday skin care routine and I was pretty impressed about how well this foundation blended with my skin. It automatically blends to your skin as if it's your natural skin, it's not caky in any way and also buildable.

It has a medium texture and high coverage – which I absolutely love.

I would then go ahead with my day and monitor the appearance and yes I did need to powder up at least twice a day with this foundation.

I then tried it with my Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer and I powdered atleast once a day.

Still impressed with how this foundation blended into my skin, leaving it looking natural and like my second skin, I then decided to change it up a bit and used my Clinique moisturising gel with the Clinique Universal Primer and trust when I say – no powdering throughout the day.

On application, this foundation makes your skin look automatically matte and you generally feel it on your skin. It doesn't dry your skin out in any way.

I would suggest using the right moisturizer with a mattifying primer in order to get the best results. It feels so light on the skin even when you build up the coverage.

I'm impressed at how matte this foundation leaves my face feeling without making me look like I'm dehydrated.

What I also loved was that when you use a highlighter it automatically pops because the highlighter it's not hiding behind all the oilyness of your face. I would highly recommend this foundation to anyone who loves that made-up matte look.

It comes in a variety of shades, so I'm sure you'll find the right match. It retails for around R190 and available from your major beauty counters.

This foundation gets a 4/5 from me.
