Best bronzer on a budget! Wet n Wild adventures (Part3)

Best bronzer on a budget! Wet n Wild adventures (Part3)

In my experience, finding a fabulous bronzer for darker-skinned beauties in South Africa is difficult when you’re on a tight budget. There are beautiful high-end bronzers out there for darker skinned beauties but in my experience, most bronzers geared to us are like darker face powders with a sprinkle of fairy dust. Believe me, the struggle is real.

I’d heard of the Wet n Wild Coloricon bronzers that were released back in 2012 so it’s not a new product, but it’s new to me.

When I saw them at the Wet n Wild counter at Clicks, my feet started moving fast without me thinking I grabbed two of them.

The first is Bikini Contest, which is geared more toward beauties with deeper skin tones. If you have reddish undertones, this is your jam!!

The one I didn’t get and regret is Ticket to Brazil, which is a golden tan. But I will brave the Jozi traffic, dodge the taxi drivers and the flat out fabulous women who drive gorgeous 4x4s (Love the BMW X3) and get to my nearest Wet n Wild counter on Friday . . . this is a mission . . . mission . . . I need this in my life . . .

The Wet n Wild Coloricon bronzer in Bikini Contest is medium/dark bronzer with a soft gold sheen. It will add an all over warmth to the skin, leaving you with a sun-kissed look. The finish is nothing short of breathtaking.

Bikini Contest has SPF15, which is always a bonus. This bronzer has a creamy buttery texture that applies evenly onto the skin with very little fallout. The more you blend the product into your skin, the more sun-kissed it looks because the sheen appears more visible.

The shade Ticket to Brazil is a golden tan, I swatched it in store. But a young lady grabbed it before me (there was only one) because I got side tracked by the lipsticks. Don’t you hate when that happens? Ticket to Brazil is sure to suit medium and lighter skinned girls because the colour has neutral golden undertones.

Wet n Wild’s Bikini Contest wears well, a good eight hours before it starts to fade. If you have dark skin and want an all round healthy glow, even in winter, get this guy. He won’t disappoint! The only thing that will disappoint is the flimsy plastic packaging. Drop it and you will end up with loose powdered bronzer, I guarantee.

But that’s the case with ALL the Wet ‘n Wild products I have tried so far. I guess that’s the reason for the cheaper price, because the quality of the product definitely isn’t.

Price: R100 for 13g of product. Now that’s a whole lot of goodness that will last a long, long, time

Have you tried any of the Wet n Wild coloricon bronzers? Let me know your thoughts?
