Beauty Bulletin 50 Shades of Love and Lust Lipstick Review- Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Pink Petal

A beautifully packaged lipstick in a modern sleek black canister. The lipstick is a mouth of contradictions as its creamy and moisturizing yet leaves a wonderful matte finish.

This is my follow up to this gorgeous lipstick. As you know, I received this from BB for the February 50 shades of love and lust review.

There were some points I missed when first reviewing this lipstick. Unfortunately my lipstick didn’t come in a box but was sealed with a plastic tab on the break of the canister. The canister doesn’t give much away and is sleek matte black and rectangular. The lid is a tad stubborn to pry off, but makes it ideal for handbag use.

The colour is a very neon looking, bright pink and looks great on fairer skinned ladies. It’s a soft, moisturizing and creamy formula that glides on easily and feels sensational even after a few sips of wine. Once settled it becomes an almost matte finish and has a similar effect to a lip stain.

If applied lightly, it makes for a great romantic look, but if demanding attention and pulling a Nicki Minaj is how you roll then be bold and use liberally to amplify your look. This option, I felt was too cartoonish for my skin tone.

On a smooch test, it scores an 8/10 only because my BF looked as though he was kissed by a flamingo . It’s a beautiful colour to use for kisses on letters and envelopes though. It’s a very feminine, girly colour reminiscent of bubblegum.

So, keeping with 50 shades, this lipstick can be matched to your satin sheets and definitely delivers all the hearts and flowers, with or without the kinky F…ery ;)

Beautifully packaged, and I am in LOVE with the colour. Hot pink lipstick is my new obsession, and this brand works really well. A bit expensive, but its an investment.

Eeek this is for sure my colour....I have used this lipstick before but a more subtle colour and it was amazing. I love the bold colours, so daring and beautiful. If you don't really like to be daring during the day then try this at night when you can still get away with more dramatic make up but tone down your eye make up, focus must be on your lips.
I love this, need to get some soon :-)

Its a Beautiful lipstick that went on very easily and left my lips moisturized and feeling pampered throughout the day. It glides on like a balm but after a few moments has an almost matte finish on lips. I did feel that this colour would preferably suit a person with a lighter skin-tone though. I didnt not let this bold-neonish colour deter me though and rocked it as though using a subtle lip-stain. its great for a loud dramatic effect if worn at night or perfect for day-time if used minimally. I found it very easy to pull of that romantic just kissed look by merely dabbing the lipstick on the middle of the lip and spreading out with a lip brush. Overall a lipstick brand I would definitely consider purchasing but in a colour thats more appropriate for my skin-tone.
