Autumn Beauty- Trends

Autumn is on its way and this means blustery winds, central heating, sniffs, snivels and the fact that our skin is only just recovering from a UV beating we had over the summer. It is common for your skin to become dry, dull and irritated.

Check out these Skin care tips to save your skin.

It is easy to see why we need to ease into the new season with a few updates to our skincare regimes. Here’s how to keep yours glowing and healthy throughout the season…

1.EXFOLIATION
It is extremely important to exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin cells. Exfoliating your skin also helps the skin to absorb more moisture and nutrition. Professional home microdermabrasion treatments once or twice a week is a great way of getting a deep exfoliation.

2.TREAT

After summer many of us are suffering from over exposing our skin to the sun’s harmful rays, which have caused sun spots and pigmentation. One should use a good exfoliator that contain lightening ingredients.

3.PROTECT
UVA and UVB rays can penetrate clouds and glass so even when it is grey and cloudy outside it is important to still wear a good sunscreen to protect your skin.

4.HYDRATE
Our skin often becomes dehydrated during the summer due to over exposure of the sun.
before winter starts it is important to supplement the lost moisture.
After cleansing, moisturize your skin at least twice a day. Dry, normal and combination skin types can use a light serum, gel or lotion. If you have a drier skin type choose a thicker cream based moisturizer specifically meant for very dry skin.

One also need to take care of their body so be sure to take short warm baths and apply moisturiser onto your damp skin.
Continue to drink at least eight glasses of water a day throughout the year, irrespective of seasonal changes. This will help you to flush out the body toxins better thereby ensuring a problem-free skin.

5.FOUNDATION
Our skin tone starts to transition from the summer tan to a paler winter tone, during Autumn. Its is important to not only use a foundation that accurately matches your skin tone but one that is going to keep your skin hydrated for Autumn.

When choosing a foundation for autumn, always try to test the foundation before you buy it, and whenever possible, test it in good lighting. Natural light is best, when it is available. Test the foundation on the side of your face and let it set for a couple of minutes. Often, the colour of foundation will change when it comes in contact with the natural acids in our skin, so the colour in the bottle may not be exactly the same for everyone. Also be sure that the color will blend well into your neckline.

Natural looking, luminous skin is what we all want for Autumn. How you apply your foundation can make all the difference between looking caked and creating the perfect natyral look. Start your routine with a moisturized face. Than add a primer which will help the foundation go on smoothly and keep the moisture locked in. Dont over do the concealer. Apply it only where needed,to cover dark circles under your eyes and cover up blemishes.

Apply your foundation with a stipple brush as this will to help blend the foundation evenly and create a natural look. Hope that helps your skin care regime for Autumn.
