2True Smooth Matte Foundation is an oil free, fragrance free and lightweight foundation. The foundation promises to control shine, to smooth out imperfections and provide a matte finish, while moisturising and protecting the skin with the added vitamin E and sunscreen.

I received the 2True Smoothe Matte Foundation as a free complimentary product when I purchased two other 2True products, and I have to say that it is, by far, one of the worst foundations that I have ever used!
Firstly, this foundation does not provide great coverage at all and it is near impossible to apply, as it always appears cakey and blotchy – regardless of how much moisturiser you apply beforehand. It definitely does not live up to its “Smooth Matte” name.
Secondly, it claims to have sunscreen protection, but fails to specify how much protection it provides, and that just annoys me. I think it is an important factor that should be clearly presented to consumers. When the product information is not clearly presented the product just seems dodgy and suspicious to me.
Thirdly, the foundation smells horrible. In fact, most of the 2True products that I have used have smelled bad. Scent is a huge factor in cosmetics, and I just cannot figure out how the 2True organisation can ignore that aspect.
Finally, I found that there are only five shades of the 2True Smooth Matte Foundation and there does not seem to be a shade for dark ethnic skins. The darkest shade caters for individuals with an olive shade skin.
