Yardley Gel Lac Nails

A wonderfully large clear square glass bottle that allows you to see the colour youare purchasing. It has a siver twist lid that once opened has a fantastic large brush that allows just one application to coat the entire nail.

Hellooooo,

How do you do everybody...Well, well, well. I have tried the Yardley Gel lac in Peach and guessed what??? I ABOLUTELY loved it!!! I thought it was t teeny weeny bit pricy thought but after having tried it on< i was convinced it was worthwhile. The Peach colour simply revived my nails and gave it this extra rich and intense colour whilw at the same time keeping it NATURAL & REAL!!! ^^

Have a great!!! :)

Being a student is always a busy task both on the academic and social scene. One thing that always goes amiss is the condition of one's nails. Its not always easy to make the time to go get your nails professionally done and with all the partying, socializing and keeping up with the latest clothing and shoe trends its often becomes quiet strenuous on one's purse.

I love that I am now able to affordablly and effectively achieve that desirable and professional salon look in the comfort of my own home. This product is a must, not only for students, busy mums or the fashion focused but for every WOMEN!

I purchased my bottle from my local Dischem and was lucky enoug to have picked it up for a mere R50.95 due to their in-correct pricing at the time of release. It is now unfortunately back at R64.95. But dont let this price affect your purchase as it's definitely one thats worth the extra splurge. The bottle is a bigger than usual 15ml which equals more use. As this is a relatively new product I'm still curious as to see whether the larger quantity is of a great benefit as polish usually dries up and clumps after a while (Sigh....only time and Beauty Bulletin will let us know;)

The formula I found wasn't very much different to that of a regular nail varnish apart from being slightly thicker. The smell as well was very similiar to your average varnish but bore a slightly stronger acetic scent. The brush thoigh was simply divine and one that Yardley has perfected with most of their other nail enamel ranges. In just one stroke- PERFECTION! The colour is evenly distributed to every nook and corner of your nail leaving a smooth, seamless finish. I found the overall result to be not as shiny as having actual gel on but welcomed the subtleness of its allure. Although promising a Gel finish, It doesnt leave a thick, un-natural feeling on your nails which is very comfortable and natural for everyday use.

The caramel is a wonderful colour for all skin tones as its amazingly neutral, this I feel gives a very understated elegant and polished look. Its the equivalent of the "im trying, just not that hard" look.

The colour lasted on my nails an entire 13 days before I started noticing a few cracks on the edge of my nails. But a mere slick of the polish and it was as good as new.

The addition of the clear Overcoat is excellent and adds that extra oomph of shine all you devoted Gel-users lust after. Hopefully Yardley introduces a white, pearl or baby pink Gel Lac with a smaller brush applicator to enable its users to benefit greatly by the clear overcoat and rock some French inspired Mani-Pedi's.

So in a nut-shell, this is a nail enamel that wont be going anywhere! Its easy to apply, easy on the eye and easy to remove when you want to try out one of the amazing other 10 colours.
